Hello my 12 year old was taking omnicef for a ear infection and 10 days into it she got hives all over her body and they come and go and really ichy do you think it's from the Omnicef?

She is now on 14 days of omnicef at 4.5ml of 250mg/5ml strength. She has received since the 14th omnicef 5ml of 150 (whatever the lower strength is)mg/5ml that was a 10 days script that she took 5 of because they then started rocephin injections on the 20th. The original omnicef was for an ear infection. That was clear when she went in on the 19th and they rocephin (1gm) injections were started due to the prolonged fever (since the 8th). She had three 1 gm injections..

That dosage seems a little on the low side. I'd be checking if your NP is going by a flat dosage ribavirin chart or a weight-based dosage (WBD) ribavirin chart. For Schering-Plough and at that weight, I'm thinking you'd be better off at 1000mg of Riba. That's my humble opinion on it. Hi I am curious if anyone has found a chart or info on how much interferon, ribavirin and telaprevir a person should take based on their weight. Maybe some of these are not even weight based altho it sure seems like a 100# person would not require as much of any of these as a 300# person but I don't know. If anyone has a link to this or a chart or any info, I'm just curious to know.

I have had a round of Avelox a few weeks ago and recently Omnicef 600mg/day for 10 days and still have discharge. Question, wouldn't these antibiotics be affective against NGU, Chlamydia or Gonnorrhea? Thanks for the help.

Unfortunalty I'm allergic to alot of antibiotics. It's good to hear that your tinnitus went away. I'm just scared of the antibiotics making it worse. 2 years is a long time! Are most of your symptoms resolved?

About 1 year ago I as given Omnicef for a bacterial infection. After 3 days of tumultuous diarrhea, I finally stopped this drug but not soon enough. Ever since then, I have had stomach problems. It first started out as irregular and often BM’s, and then progressed to A constant gnawing or burning between my breastbone and navel in addition to erratic BM’s and gas, bloating, and just an overall lousy feeling within the digestive system.

I am on everything except the Cefidinir(Omnicef) bc she is adding that after we add the Septra and sees if it is well tolerated.

I saw a conversion chart on the web that stated each grain of Nauturethroid has 38 mcg of T4 and 9 mcg of T3. Is this correct.

ve been found to have extremely low cortisol and have been following the dosing chart on *************************. Basically every 3 or 4 days you increase by 2.5mg if you haven't seen it. I went back to the doctor a few days ago, and everything else turned out normal except now I had high Calcium and High Total Blood Protein. My Total Protein was 10.6. I am worried about the possibility of a Parathyroid Tumor with Cancer or something serious.
