I am on everything except the Cefidinir(Omnicef) bc she is adding that after we add the Septra and sees if it is well tolerated.
I was only on two antibiotics at the same time, and didn't have the kind of discomfort you report.
Ask your doc what can be done, whether other treatments would be less problematic, etc.
Also I would NOT take any herbals or medicinals or anything in that frame of reference UNLESS your Lyme doc okays it as to what meds/supplements you take at what doses for how long. Herbs and pharmaceuticals are all just chemicals, and mixing them without a doc's okay is just asking for trouble.

LLMDs (Lyme Literate MDs) treat until symptoms resolve and tests clear, and that varies for everyone. Can be up to 18 months or so, but can also be shorter time.

I had tinutitis before I knew I had Lyme and co's. Then when I started going to an LLMD, she said that it was from BARTONELLA. It just kind of went away when I started rifampin.

I had a bad case of lyme and finaly saw a LLMD who put me on Tetracycline and I felt worst before I got better. My Herx was so bad I called the doctor and complained and accused her of making me more sick. She told me "good the medicine is working, don't stop it, if you want to have your life back keep taking it" So I listened to her and I am glad I did cause a few weeks later I was feeling better. Stick to it. It will get better.
We visited a child Neurologist last week and he immediatly said that our son did not have lyme disease since lyme disease was not in the state of GA. He also looked at our sons MRI results and said that he did not see any of the white spots that the 2 radiologists had seen. The office performed an EEG test on our son that day and we are suppoed to find the results out next Monday.
My LLMD is changing my antibiotic treatment to Omnicef and Biaxin for 3 more months. Mainly because he believes Flagyl was responsible for my hormone imbalance and I wasn't able to keep it down since I got the flu. Has anyone been treated with this combination? It's the first time I have hear about it, but I have taken these before for other infections and did just fine. I am hopeful since my CD57 has gone up from 23 to 56. However, my IgM results show more Lyme.
In the meantime I was out of meds and now I am having sciatica, migraines, and tingling feet, and just overall very moody. Just annoying. So now new one is Amoxicillin and Biaxin so far I am tolerating it fine. I notice this Lymes affects my moods sometimes and I seem much more grouchy and tired than usual.
Hello my 12 year old was taking omnicef for a ear infection and 10 days into it she got hives all over her body and they come and go and really ichy do you think it's from the Omnicef?
Mepron/atovaquone and Zithromax/azithromycin for Babesiosis first, then when that was extinct, Biaxin/clarithromycin and Omnicef/cefidnir for Lyme. Took 15 months, start to finish. Overt symptoms had been few, mainly tiredness but not the crushing fatigue others of us have had. Tests were initially run on the family only at my stubborn insistence, and I was dead-dog sick with the same things, Lyme and Babesiosis. Go figure.

I put myself on a yeast-free, sugar-free and grains-free diet 3 months ago -- I got a yeast infection that was giving me serious bloating and brain fog. It just seemed like Lyme, but it was yeast. It was a little hard the first couple of days, but I've adjusted to it very well.
Did your dr say why s/he put you on that diet?
i'm a multi-yr lyme brain patient and what to know, Has anyone treated intervenously with clindamycin? i'm on my 8th week and i'm not sure if i'm having a flare up or herxing? i'm a wreck and the stress i know is not helping!
I currently live on the eastern shore of MD and lyme is common here so my concern of Lyme was taken seriously. I was told it is still safe to breastfeed though there is some conflicting info on the Internet. I was given a prescription for Omnicef 300 Mg twice per day for 10 days and am to start it pending my test results. I am actually planning to start it tonight without waiting for results. My questions are does this sound like Lyme? What are the chances the blood test will be positive?

I have had 4 negative Lyme Serology, 1 IND for a co-infection and then 4 positive bands on my western blot. I am curious to see how many people have had negative tests for the ELISA and how many bands came back positive on the WB and which bands were positive.
So I've been on depo for 9.months now and got my renewal shot and antibiotics for 10 days on the same day, how long should I wait before having unprotected sex? How will they effect eachother????
I have taken 10 days of Omnicef and most recently(this week) i just finished 250mg Zpack but I still have the discharge. Back in November I notice the gland behind my right ear was swollen. For the past week, my neck is tight under my ears and jaw and under my armpits. Today I noticed the gland in my right groin is rock hard and the size of a large pea. I cannot feel the left groin gland. It does not hurt to touch but it makes it uncomfortable to sit and have some minor testicular pain.
