A few months ago, she was put on Omeprazole and after 2 weeks of bad upper stomach pain, she stopped taking it. The problems have resided a bit, but has had pain and nausea every since. After many tests, all coming out normal, she still has not found an answer. The doctors don't have a clue what is wrong, but she believes the omeprazole caused some sort of infection and will be going on antibiotics this week to see if it will help.
The last time I had this problem I got some Omeprazole off my doctor. I finished those and the pains came back last week so I got some more on Tuesday.
Problem is that not it's a lot worse. I haven't ate or slept in 4 nights and I'm now starting to get constipated. Some thing I've never been before! I haven't been to school or the gum since last week because the pain is too debilitating!
recently ive been having more frequent heart flutters and skips with the sensation of passing out !! I have acid reflux bad I take omeprazole 40 mg I ran out of my meds and started taking over the counter omeprazole I had bad skips and sweats that caused me to go to the ER they did a stress on my heart said it was fine could there be a problem going on in my esophegous causing these heart symptoms? Help desperate for peace of mind!
t correct the underlying problem, but it can alleviate a good deal of the pain associated with ulcers by reducing the amount of stomach acid (the actual substance causing the pain). Omeprazole and other PPIs can and do give ulcer patients a better quality of life while they heal.
My 4 year old son has been prescribed 20mg omeprazole for unknown stomach pain. I heard that PPIs such as this can increase the risk of pneumonia and he has a horrible chest cold. cough right now, should I discontinue taking this medication until this passes? Are the chances of it turning into pneumonia greater if he is on omeprazole? Or is this risk factor only for prolong use?
At first my wife had urinary infection, few weeks later she started to have fever and stomach problems, the docter told her it was a gastroenteritis. I bought her omeprazole and gave her amoxicilline, that worked. She felt fine, but few weeks later she had urinary infection symptoms again. The doctor gave her antibiotics again, that helped her.
Was given endoscopy and prescribed omeprazole (40mg) until next endoscopy in one year. Was told the pain should go away in about a month. It's been about 2 months and the pain is still just as bad. Could I not have a hernia or ulcer and could this have been overlooked somehow in the endoscopy?
I am suffering from chest pain from the past six days and it is like it happens when I got some problem in stomach. I know that somewhere I am going through gastric problem and I dont want to get it worse.
I have to consult with a doctor on this issue so that he will suggest me some medication that requires for my health.
I totally avoid some food like, cheese margarine and many stuffs that harms allot.

Stones can chronically irritate the gall bladder and cause inflammation and pain. The other causes could be gastritis, peptic ulcer disease and GERD. I spend a week in Spain and since I got back to the USA, (10 days now )I have pain on my upper stomach, nauseas and headaches. I have also been very tired, dizzy and weak. This only happens sometimes (about 75 %) especially after I eat. I have stop eating because when I do, I get very sick. I went to the emergency room and they didn't find anything wrong but the doctor prescribed me Zantax. I still feel sick. I have scheduled an appoinment with a specialist but it is a week from now.
Went to the doctor and told me it was acid so he prescribed me omeprazole for one week. My stomach felt a lot better but sometimes it still hurts just a dull pain but it worsens if im hungry.
Stool is sometimes hard (light brown) and sometimes watery & foamy(light brown) and right now i just pooped a really dark brown one (wet).
By stretching, or taking off elastic from undergarment, I can get relief from the pain. I thought the omeprazole was working, until recently when I had Taco Bell and my stomach hurt again. Doctor also said I could be lactose intolerant, but it is not set off by milk...
I do not know what is wrong with me. Do I have ulcers? Should I see a gastroenterologists instead of my pediatrician?
I have recieved my endoscopy and it showed mild inflammation of stomach and gullet and they have taking test for any bacteria in stomach . I am going to have to wait another 2 weeks for results and am back taking the omeprazole but my stomach is constanlty bloating up after eating. Is this a side effect of the tablets?? i have been taking these tablets 6 weeks in total but i am stil suffering severly with bloating and my stomach is constanlty rumbling.
I have had lived with stomach pain for years. Most recently, completed a 30 day omeprazole treatment with a reflux diagnosis. Three days after completion of med. symptoms returned. I have a burning sensation in my stomach and naussea tha is worse in the night. It is strong enough to wake me. I do not wish to live on omeprazole but don't want stomach attacks to return where the pain is sharp and prohibits me from standing.
I'm 29 years old, with heart disease, a fib, and gerd.
For years I've dealt with this issue, sometimes often, sometimes months apart. Last night I was awoken in severe pain around 3am. The pain is so intense it radiates into my back, up my throat into my jaw and head. It's excruciating pain only slightly helped by drinking ice cold water. I'll continuously keep burping, with an urge to throw up, an intense pressure that my stomach is pushing things up.

I now get up and take the CVS liquid antacid and go back to bed but still wake up nauseated (no vomiting) then the stomach ache and horrible bloating start. ve had excessive gas which I hear is normal from the air they pump in your stomach but yesterday I had the sensation of a knot in my throat and near my diaphragm and dizziness. I have been having upper middle stomach pain right below breast and top of rib cage. The pain is like a dull burning sensation that comes and goes. May last 15 minutes to an hour. My mid back also has a dull ache at the same time. Usually laying flat on my stomach tends to relieve the pain some. It does occur after eating sometime but not with any particular food. It could be cereal or steak it does not seem to matter. I do not have any nausea or fever.
