omeprazole and muscle pain

I was diagnosed with GERD ten weeks ago. I've been on omeprazole 20 mg for the first 4 weeks , increased to 40 mg the next 4 weeks, now back down to 20 mg. The mess have improved the GERD symptoms, but I am now having muscle & joint pain over the past week. Sporadic aches and pains in my hands, arms and knees. Anyone else with this side effect? And any vitamin supplements suggested that May help offset it?

I was on omeprazole for 12 days and experienced the anxiety, brain fog, lack of concentration, jittery feeling, lightheaded/dizzy, insomnia, joint pain, muscle pain, tingling and numbness... over two weeks later, although there has been improvement, I'm still experiencing many of the symptoms listed. I also read the FDA study. I'm trying to find something natural to help with reflux.

A few days ago my husband lifted somthing heavy and pulled a muscle in his chest ive took him to hospital and to see his own gp and he sed his hearts fine but he still has chest twinges and neck and back pain that will come and go an is really painfull can anybody help me with any advice please on what you thinks wrong or where the pains coming from as im worried tbh and am gratefull with any help I can get thankyou

I have also saw doctor to make sure I do not have vertigo. Now doctors are thinking that this chest pain might be related to some muscle injure. Now my question is how much time this kind of injury takes to heal even with help of ice pack and Advil. As I said 3 weeks are already gone. Or should I worry about something else.

I am a somewhat active guy who plays in some sports leagues throughout the year. A few weeks ago while playing I felt a burning pain near my spleen. It has continuted and goes away then comes back - sometimes tingling other times feeling like cramps.

I'm normally a very healthy person with very few medical issues, but in the last 2 months it feels like my body has decided that my early 30s is a great time to break down. Here's the history of what happened. About a month ago I went to the ER with very intense chest pain. Doctor did a CT, bloodwork, ekg, and drew a blank, no clue what was causing it but thought it might be very bad acid reflux. He did say that my white blood cell count was very low (more on that latter).

is omeprazole a nercotic pain killer? i know some medications that may b addicting so i thought i would double check..also i had seen that u can take in an i.v is this true and if so how?

I wonder whether I can just take Sulfasalazine and avoid Naproxen (pain killer) and Omeprazole (acid reducer) if pain is within my endurance level. I really dont want to upset my stomach by flooding with drugs. By the way, can the disease damage any joints in the later years even though drugs are being taken to control it. What are the percentage of recovery or is there any case of having full recovery.

s my liver because I have bridging fibrosis and take pain pills daily for it and smoke pot,eat valiums but mostly I still have the pain because I have abused drugs for many decades and will probably die soon if I don't get a new liver which the odds for that is about 1% so I just went out for 2 weeks and shot a bag of heroin for the pain and now my ankles are bloated with edema(water) and my liver relly hurts now so I quit monday and am praying for a miracle!!

Well, I was in so much stomach discomfort and pain I finally just took the medication and it helped!! Took another one this morning and so far so good. I just hate taking pills and esp ones I haven't taken before.

recently ive been having more frequent heart flutters and skips with the sensation of passing out !! I have acid reflux bad I take omeprazole 40 mg I ran out of my meds and started taking over the counter omeprazole I had bad skips and sweats that caused me to go to the ER they did a stress on my heart said it was fine could there be a problem going on in my esophegous causing these heart symptoms? Help desperate for peace of mind!

After a month of omeprazole I was no better and had a stool test for H.Pylori which came up negative. Since then I've been suffering in silence trying to figure out if I can solve the problem myself by changing my diet or taking over the counter medication but have had no luck. The problem now seems to be more associated with my abdomen.

Hello, For the last year or so, I've had an odd pain and tingling sensation in my upper left abdomen, immediately below the ribs. This isn't constant, but when it occurs, it usually lasts for a week or two. When it's there, there is definite tenderness when I poke the area, and the pain is a sharp pain, maybe a 3 out of 10 on the pain scale. I haven't been able to link any other circumstances (menstrual cycle, eating habits, etc) to this pain.

Now due to the pregnancy, it seemed to worsen as I experience painful heartburns. My doctor recommends I take omeprazole along with antacids. I've been taking antacids because I know they don't bare side effects on pregnancy. I am not sure though with omeprazole. I'm scared. I am afraid it might harm the baby. Anyone here experienced the same?
