One of the known side effects of Nexium (Esomeprazole Magnesium) is jerking muscle movements so i'd say if he isn't experiencing a side effect of the Nexium, because he's stressed and experiencing weird dreams it's probably just normal sleep induced myoclonic muscle twitches as he's going in and out of the sleep fazes.

I started taking Pradaxa less thatn a montha ago and am taking the same dosage and noticed the same heartburn and was prescribed Nexium for it. That is one of the side effects. I really did not experience the fatigue but I do have hip pain but I think that is due to skipping the gym for a couple of weeks. I'd call the Doc and let them know what is up.

Recent x ray shows that my rib cage still has two acute fractures. Needless to say between the joint pain, muscle pain and rib pain I am on multiple narcotic meds. These include 6 40 mgm Oxycontins a day, 7.5 mgm Vicodin for breakthrough and duragesic patch. I also take xanax for severe panic attacks. I am so sick of being a slave to my medications. I went from being an award winning professional in working with at risk youth to an unemployed addict.
I've been dealing with gerd issues for the last half year. Colonoscopy and endoscopy were negative. It mostly works for my GERD - without it it is unbearable. The problem I have is the terrible side effects. They are all gastrointestinal. I am miserable all the time. I feel like my food takes FOREVER to digest and move through my system! I feel like when I eat the food just "sits" there for such a long time. I feel constipated, but can "go" most days, though not completely. I have gained about 8 pounds, and most days I look like I'm pregnant!
Hi I had a colonscopy 10/09/09, and I'm still having side effects. At first I couldn't stop going liquid then it cleared up for a couple of days now it's back.They found 4 polyps again beign but the kind that can turn into cancer so I have to have another next year. But I'm having to use tucks and I'm bleeding off and on from the rectum. I still have bloating feel kind of tired.
I had civir stomach pain, my husband took me to hospital. They gave me nexium and the pain went. I saw my doctor and he checked fir heliocabactor, negative. Nothing showed up on ultrasound. He reckons my stomach lining is inflamed due to much acid and put me on nexium 40 for 2 weeks and then on nexium 20. As I got pain I took a 40 instead of 20 yesterday and expierienced side affects pretty civir: nausea, digestion 3 times worse then before, gas, headaches.
Instead of coming off the the meds abruptly, think about coming off of the meds a step at a time over a period of weeks-to-months. There can be a problem with 'rebound' reflux and it can make a person miserable. So please factor that into your plan.

It started as a feeling of lump in my throat (couldnt feel an actual lump, just a sensation) and then went on to pain in upper throat behind the soft palate. Sometimes i have pain in my right ear.
