Early this year over new year I was submitted to hospital for emergency treatment on a corneal ulcer and was kept in hospital for three days and given intensive treatment of ofloxacin eye drops every hour, then released from hospital and continued to be on ofloxacin eye drops every 2 hours and steroid drops every 2 hours with frequent visits to the hospitals eye clinic to monitor my progress.

Without consulting a doctor, I am self medicating now after googling what's ofloxacin is for. 3 days ago I took 2 400mg and subsequently 200mg every 12 hours. So far, the irritation when I'm urinating and the tingling has subsided significantly. My question is, shall I still continue taking the ofloxacin until the 7th or 10th day from the day I started taking it?
I am currently taking ofloxacin (local meds) 400 mg 3x a day for 5 days for my uti. Will it also cure any possible std(gonorrhea/chlamydia) if i have one?
On 3/21/07 she had stomach flu,5/24/07 she woke up with a bloody looking eye it's ALWAYS on the same eye (right)on the inner part of the sclera & it never spreads to the other eye,she always says it hurts & it swells up a little. Her pediatrician thought it was conjuvitis & rx Ofloxacin .3% it cleared up in 3 days.
5 yrs started complaining of stomach pain and diarrhea four days back when the doctor prescribed ofloxacin and metronidazole suspension which had some effect in the first two days but worsened later.

I contracted NGU through oral sex and was prescribed 10 days of Ofloxacin. I had urine test at 21 after the last pill which came out negative. My question is if it was too early to test? I still have clear discharge 1-2 times per week in the morning.
About a week later my penis starts to burn, with a slight clear discharge and I have side and back pain. I get a urinalysis that says I have a slightly high bacteria count, which could account for a UTI. I also got a DNA Gon/Chlamydia test, which came back negative. I saw a urologist also, just in case. He puts me on Ofloxacin for a week. After about a week I feel better. My wife and I have sex, with her giving me oral sex.
I will do that it seems the higher dose has created this and I'm not on anything else.
Many AD's have side effects that affect the libido, guess it applies to both sex es. As far as I know all AD's have this drastic effect . Hopefully you'll find one that's OK for you . Good luck.
Yes, I've only been on it a week and I experience the muscle aches and bilateral flank pain as well. In addition, insomnia!
THOUGHT I WAS GOING CRAZY BEFORE I FOUND YOU GUY. SIDE EFFECTS MUCH MORE THAN WE HAD BEEN LED TO BELIEVE.PERSONALLY HAVE THE BLURRY VISION, ENHANCED JOINT PAIN, SWEATS, AND SLEEP NOT GOOD. FINALLY SAW FEED BACK FROM THE COMMUNITY THAT VERIFIED OTHERS FEELING SAME. ANYONE FEELING ANYTHING ELSE ODD? PLEASE POST. ALSO HAVE BLOATING, IRRITABILITY. AND CONTRARY TO WHAT DOCTORS SAY, I'M ALWAYS CONSTIPATED.
Hi. I am on week 60/72, second round of treatment. I was really really sick after shot for first few months and then this resolved and became tolerable at least. I now find that I am having these same significant side effects later in tx. This didn't happen last round, but I went 48 then. Anyone else have this happen?
Cancer removed May 22, 2007, chemo July 2nd through October 8, 2007, and radiation on left breast November 2nd through December 26, 2008. Side effect from Taxol perminent numb toes, side effects so far from Tamoxifen body temperature changes of warmth then cold. The web page sites and telephone numbers did not have this information.
