Avatar f tn So my first question is 1) should we be worried about pregnancies (bc the sponge was torn) and 2) is the green goo normal for the sponge? If not what does that mean? Both of us were virgins until yesterday so its not an std.
Avatar f tn Okay, there’s a girl staying with us that has HPV, well, I was taking a bath and was using a sponge. After I got out of the shower, I found out that MY sponge was thrown away, and hers was put in my spot...also, she has the SAME sponge as me. Can I get HPV from her because of a bath sponge?!? Please help me! I’m stressing out.
Avatar f tn I was on shower and when i ejaculate, some sperm was on the wet floor of the shower, then the sponge has fallen to the wet floor and i think a small amount of the sperm go on the sponge, can sperm survive on a wet sponge bath and make a woman pregnant if she use the sponge after 1 hour?
Avatar n tn After his birth they told me his right kidney is a medullary sponge kidney. the first doctor we saw told me he is fine no need to follow unless he has problems. when my son was 2 years old he was hospitalized for an illius. while in the hospital they noticed his kidney and consulted another kidney doctor. this new doctor had us come in every 6 months to have an ultra sound done to make sure the calcifacation were not getting worse.
Avatar f tn I have recently been diagnosed with Medullary Sponge kidney in both of my kindneys after having a stone removed a few months ago. My kidneys are full of stones, and I have frequent pain in both kidneys. My doctor pretty much said there was nothing that can be done, and just go home and put up with it. He said I will have this pain for life and I will continue to pass stones as well. Anyone else in the same situation? I am just looking for ways to cope with the pain.
Avatar f tn So a friend of mine just had her baby boy and posted a pic saying "sponge bath". Do you use an actual sponge or just a wash cloth? And how long after birth do you do them? And does it hurt when you wash around the area of the umbilical cord?
Avatar f tn Ive been avoiding it ever since. There is a sponge i keep on the door handle too that i havent used since he came to visit because i was worried about bloood inside it not being exposed to air. Today i took a shower and i dont mean to be graphic but i masturbated and accidentally touched what could be blood on the door and the sponge. I wasnt thinking and then i touched my penis afterword.
Avatar m tn hello to all , lately i noticed my roommate is using drain cleaner and sponge to clean kitchen sink , i use the same sponge to clean my mug without noticing , i am now very scared that some of this chemical went inside my body , i just want to ask can i know through blood test and urine test if my body is having some of this chemical , and what blood test are required...
Avatar n tn sometimes i masturbate in the bath but I always wash it out when I’m done with bleach and the bath sponge, however it occurred to me that the semen could still be on the sponge when a female family member used the bath around 15 - 30 minuets after I had done (even though I had washed out the bath prior to her getting in) this is something that has been worrying me as I get paranoid about random things very easily.
Avatar f tn A sponge bath yes.
Avatar m tn Five days ago I went to a massage parlor. The "masseuse" gave me a shower using a sponge. I received a massage that was more or less normal, including masseuse's bare hands on my bare butt. I declined the "happy ending," so she never touched my genitals. Any risk of exposure to any STD, specifically herpes? I have no idea if the sponge was new or had been recently used or what. I've Googled symptoms of STDs.
Avatar f tn What type of diet do you recommend for someone with medulla sponge kidney disease? Thank you for your assistance. This discussion is related to spongy kidney.
Avatar f tn I sponge bathed my daughter till het umbilical cord fell off but her dr said to be careful not to get her belly button wet till two weeks after the cord fell off
Avatar f tn Wait until her umbilical cord falls off. You can sponge bathe her, but make sure you don't get that area wet. It can cause an infection.
Avatar f tn My grandmother had a massive stroke in Jan 07. She is home, still paralyzed on the left side and being fed through a feeding tube. Every once in a while she will swallow a drop of water or saliva but not often. We use some of those green foam sponges with the plastic stick handle to wet her mouth and apply mouth moisturizer.
Avatar n tn i could do with alitle more detail on it but from the litle that you said it sounds like a allergic reaction to some thing that you may have used. may be a sponge or the sponge and soap. also there might be somthing on your sponge or wash cloth like maby a little peice of plastic maby. well that is all i can think of right now. ta ta for now.
Avatar m tn Alright I have looked into it and did a little research and was wondering if my girlfriend used the Today Sponge while intercoarse and the next day she took the Plan B oral contraceptive what are the chances of us conceveing a child. would that be as safe as a condom? I was just wondering if we did that while she was not ovulating or maybe the first couple of days she was is there a chance she could get pregnant if we used two methods of birth control?
Avatar f tn You need to wash baby before 2 weeks and can do it the day you bring them home from the hospital, but you basically do a sponge bath because the cord can't get wet. It's still a bath but Baby isn't in water if that makes sense.
1868604 tn?1346458662 We did the sponge bath the first month and just got the ok from her pedi to do a full bath. And we use a infant tub and put a little warm towel on her chest to keep her warm. She was fine with it last week.
Avatar f tn A related discussion, diet for medulla sponge kidney disease was started.
Avatar f tn The way a doc described it to me is like this....imagine you are a sponge. a sponge soaks up water but when it gets to a certain point it lets some out to let more in. people who develop anxiety/stress disorders dont release that tension (water). it builds up over time and we dont even know it. eventually our nervous system (sponge) gets overloaded and crashes. Thus all the physical symptoms that we feel with this disorder.
