Wait until her umbilical cord falls off. You can sponge bathe her, but make sure you don't get that area wet. It can cause an infection.

You need to wash baby before 2 weeks and can do it the day you bring them home from the hospital, but you basically do a sponge bath because the cord can't get wet. It's still a bath but Baby isn't in water if that makes sense.

We did the sponge bath the first month and just got the ok from her pedi to do a full bath. And we use a infant tub and put a little warm towel on her chest to keep her warm. She was fine with it last week.
