I have been on Ocella for the past 10 months. I'm finding that the past few months I am consistently anxious and depressed. I am concerned that it could be the birth control that I am on. I would like to know if there are any b.c. pills that limit this side effect. I also find that my libido is less strong. All of these symptoms are affecting my relationship. Any suggestions?
Hello.. I been on Ocella for almost 2 months. and ever since I started taking it my breast have been very sore, there are days where I can not even sleep or stand having my bra on thru out the day. They hurt if I touch them, run or make any fast move. I did get my period which it was not that heavy being that I hadnt had a period for over a year. Could that be the problem?
Did you make sure to give the pills (when you tried both ocella and lybrel) a few cycles to work? I know it's annoying, and in the mean time you have a life to contend with... But sometimes it takes a while for these things to work. It's weird that ocella (generic Yasmin, I think) would make you bleed, because that is usually one they give to women who have problems with breakthrough bleeding. How long did you try it before you quit?
I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.
Earlier in May I missed three days of my pills and started to bleed. So I stopped taking it because I was going into my placebo week. I had my period then stopped for a day or two then started spotting that's never happen to me. I got my new pack and started taking them and now I feel nauseous as ever and I'm in my second week going to my third week...
Recently I switched to nights and I've found it difficult to maintain taking my birth control on time ( I've been on ocella for years). Before my bf and I started having sex I had one very brown only slightly bloody period for a few days. We had sex for the first time (protected) around June 12 and around June 23 I had very dark brown bleeding for about 2-3 days. too early for my period. I'm worried it may be implantation bleeding.
I am 38 years old and married. I was perfectly normal and having high libido with no problems of erection. I have been using A-Z multivitamin tablets (either centrum or boots) along with one or two fish oil capsules for the last 3 years.
I had an ongoing hair fall since my teen ages, which sometimes slowed down, specifically when I was back home in Pakistan. When I was in the UK, the hair fall increased. It's in the family. It never completely stopped.
Until my ablation 7 months ago, I had an AVRT very closely related to WPW. Mine was Circus Motion Tachycardia and I had it nearly all of my life, and I'm now 60. In my case, it in no way affected my libido. AVRT like Wolff Parkinson White is an electrical condition, and should not affect libido. I would look atnthe medication used to control the tachycardia. They can and often do supress the libido. How deep of an investigation have you done on your condition?
I have now been taking 150mg of Wellbutrin XL for about three months, and have noticed no imprvement. If anything, my libido has diminished even more.
Since most people report a boost in sex drive with the Wellbutrin, I was wondering if I am just an atypical case, or if perhaps my dosage is not high enough to experience the improvement.

Gianvi is the same formulation as Yaz, execept in generics fillers are different. Ocella is supposed to be the same as Yasmine, but fillers are diferrent and I reacted differently on ocella. Yaz has 24 pils and Yasmine 21. Yaz is supposed to take care of the PMDD symtoms better.
10. My MIND is a lot cleared on YAZ but the side effects and physical effects are unhealthy and I have not been able to engage in excercise etc because of the symtoms.
m really alarmed and how my libido has dropped so much during the past six months. I eat healthy and practice yoga 3-5 times a week, but the only time I think about sex is when my man lets me know how horny he is. He's been supportive and understanding, but he deserves to be sexually satisfied, and of course on some level things I've lost interest for non-medical reasons.

No, I think they may be too high because of the recent cystic acne and increased libido that I've been experiencing. An increased libido may sound like a blessing but it's not... I can't think about anything else and just keep falling further and further behind in my work. I really can't afford to be so distracted and the thought of cheating on my husband or crossing any lines with coworkers terrifies me.
Once I recognized it was the Ocella causing side effects, I called and had the second conversation with the PA, during which she couldn't answer any questions but changed the prescription to Jolessa, which I am tolerating without side effects.
Now for my questions:
1. I am still spotting that brown stuff. It's light, but it happens every day at least once, more if I exercise strenuously and definitely more if I have sex. Is that normal?
A week after my withdraw bleed my breasts were still sore and I got really bad nausea and dizziness just at night when I laid down. That turned into diarrhea for two days.
Now, my breasts are sore all over and my nipples are tender to touch. Every now and then I get a pinching sensation in my breasts near my nipples. The nausea has been gone for about two days, and the dizziness hasn't been too bad.
Could this be pregnancy or is something wrong?
Although they claim to not have any difference, I was on Yasmin (brand name) for a while and then was switched too Ocella (Generic) and I did notice slight changes in my period. In fact, I never missed a single period on Yasmin, but did miss one while on Ocella. The blue veins, I mean if your fair skin like me, I notice the veins all the time. Sometimes they are bluer then normal, but you can't always go by that being a symptom of pregnancy.
About six weeks ago I was prescribed 20mg of Fluoxetine (Prozac) daily for Chronic Depressive Disorder.
At first, it worked great. I had energy, I slept through the night and felt rested in the morning. I wasn't constantly depressed and had desire to do things. I even got my libido back. I still had minor depressive episodes, but they never lasted more than a day.
I love my wife but we have not had sex on years and neither of us really has a libido to speak of. We do enjoy cuddling and are very touchy throughout the day. However I have found that my libido is quite strong when I travel. Is this common? We don't really speak about these things, which I'm sure is part of the issue.
I am in a relationship with a man that was recently (4 months ago) diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Needless to say we haven't had much of a sex life for years, which has been very difficult for me to accept and deal with.
I was initially very excited that maybe there was a medical explanation and a cure, and thought we might have a normal sex life. However, I haven't seen much improvement in the past months, perhaps if any.
