nuvaring yeast

I am experiencing the same on the nuva ring and really wanting to tell my husband I don't want to use it anymore. I thought I may be the only one experiencing that. I also had yeast. Sex was good before the nuvaring and there is no way it's not the nuvaring as your doctor may try and tell you so. I am scared to have sex because of how it may feel. I had sex with my husband yesterday and I'm still feeling discomfort today when I use the restroom like it's irrated.

So when my boyfriend and I have sex it hurts. At first it hurt just in certian positions, now it hurts all the time. It's a burning/stinging sort of hurt and I was wondering if the NuvaRing caused a rash in my vagina. I've been using the NuvaRing for about 8 months now so I don't know why I'd be having a reaction to it now..

I never got BV or Yeast from the odor you smell during the first week on the nuvaring. its not a fishy smell almost like a medicine but not strong. You can smell it after sex or just during the day .

it just depends on the person it can give u yeast infections i use to get them alot but i use the nuvaring now n haven't got one i use non scented soaps i love the nuvaring so far

I am on the NuvaRing and while it is supposed to be hypoallergenic, I am concerned that it is causing irritation. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? If so, what was it diagnosed as and what was the treatment? I really love my NuvaRing and am praying it is not the cause.

I have a few questions about the NuvaRing before I try it out: 1) Would I be getting UTI's or Yeast infections more? (I do get them very easily) 2) How do I take the NuvaRing out?? There's no string or anything attatched to it, such as a tampon has. And how far do you have to put it up? 3) Does NuvaRing make it difficult to have sex? Would he notice it? I decided to take my birth control, called nuvaring, out just in case that was what was causing the irritation. In the past, I have treated about 6 yeast infections through prescription and over the counter medications. I have also used home remedies such as yogurt, garlic, and baking soda to relief the itching. I’m not sure if this is another yeast infection, or some sort of reaction I have having to my birth control, the nuvaring.

The area itchs and it almost feels like a yeast infection, but there is no odor. I have been on Nuvaring for several years. I know I do not have an STD beause I have been to the OBGYN twice. Does anyone know if this is a yeast infection, or possibly something else. I was just taking antibiotics for a recent oral surgery.

i used to have nuva ring, and i had noticed i started having UTI symptoms, it burned when i peed, my abdomen hurt really bad. the doctors kept giving me antibiotics telling me that it was a UTI and that it wouldnt last. After having a "UTI" once a month for a year. I went to see my gynecologist and she advised me to remove Nuva ring. I did so and since then i feel really good. ive been off it for a little over 3 months and i will never go back to it.

Seven months ago my boyfriend and I began having sex, and about two weeks later I started my period but noticed that I was having major pain and itching internally and externally towards the end of my period. I went to the OB/GYN and I did have a yeast infection for the first time ever. I wasn't on any birth control, nor taking any antibiotics, not pregnant, and the pap came back normal with no diseases.

I had switched to a birth control called the nuvaring which i dont recommend by the way, and all of the sudden i start feeling nauseaous after eating, so i finally get back on Yaz, I still feel nauseaous after eating and now i have a discharge that looks like a yeast infection but i have no other symptoms of a yeast infection. I am really confused. Please help!!

I just started the nuvaring about a week and a half ago. I was already experiencing yeast infections pretty often. Since the ring it seems worse. I cant get rid of this YI. Ive tried eating yogurt a lot, eating less sugar, probiotics, vitamin d, putting apple cider vinegar where it itches. I have also tried monistat and the pill my doctor gave me for yeast. Im experiencing a watery discharge. Im 16 and my mom wont help me and i dont have many other options for birth conrtol.

I also wanted to note that I am on the Nuvaring and have PCOS

Im on the ring, and the end of last month my period never came (So I took 2 dollar store tests, both came up negative) my dr told me to keep it out this month and see if I get my period the end of this month or not...Well a few days ago it felt like I was starting to get a yeast infection (burning, itchy and red) then the next day I felt fine (for about 2 days) then the 3rd day it felt a little icky but not bad (I didnt know if it was irritated since it was hot outside?

And secondly, could the irriation be related to the bumps? If so, what is it? Or is it because of my Nuvaring? My mother thinks I have a yeast infection because of it. Please help me out. Thanks.

I have been on birth control for several years. Last year i changed to necon 1/35 from the nuvaring wondering if that started it. Just last week i went back on nuvaring to see if this could be the case.I visited the doctor recently for my annual and forgot to mention the discharge (oops) but did tell him about the cramping, which he said did not raise any alarms. I went ahead and have him run an STI test on me just to check. Otherwise he said everything looked fine.

i started Nuvaring 3 weeks ago yesterday when i was supposed to ive had sex w/o protection quite a few times since. I was supposed to start my period yesterday Im NEVER late early if anything I took a pregnancy test last night and it came back negative. Is it possible that I am pregnant and that its just not showing up positive yet?

What are your opinions/experiences on NuvaRing? I'm really skeptical because idk all the side effects but I know it would be best to get some form of birth control.

I am sorry to hear about your issues with nuvaring. I had started the nuvaring for perimenopause issues my gyn said would help. No docs Ive talked to since have heard of this being used for anything other than birth control my but tubs have been tied for years.After having nuvaring in for almost three weeks i started to bleed lite not spotting and its dark and not a pleasant smell at all never have had an Oder like that in 46 years and i cant stand it.

I started using the NuvaRing on April 15th and before I used the IUD. I took out the NuvaRing on May 6th but did not have my period. So I put it back in 7 days later. On the 7th day I noticed around my nipples were sore and still to this day they are still sore. So is there a chance I could be pregnant or could his be due to the NuvaRing?

My periods have been very heavy with the past one lasting two weeks with large tissue discharge. It just ended Sunday after beginning one week before removing Nuvaring and only ending once Nuvaring was reinserted. I was on the NuvaRing for 3 months straight and used it to skip my cycle. After the 3rd or 4th week I would take it out & put in a new ring.
