Nuvaring yeast infection treatment

Common Questions and Answers about Nuvaring yeast infection treatment

nuvaring

Avatar n tn 4 weeks later I had my first yeast infection also told that it was not related to the Ring. Following a week of treatment for the yeast infection I attempted to have sex and it was so painful that we had to stop. I was still feeling a bit itchy and figured that maybe the yeast infection had not totally cleared. We waited a week and tried again. This time we were able to have sex, but it was still painful and I noticed slight bleeding afterwards. Wait another week and have sex again.
Avatar n tn Your next best bet may be to go and see a gynecologist. Doctors are very educated about general health, but gynecologists specialize in the female anatomy. Also, try eating yogurt and drinking cranberry juice more regularly, as they are supposed to be especially good for helping your vagina maintain balance (and therefore good functioning). Good luck.
Avatar f tn if it was the NuvaRing you would've gotten symptoms right away. If you're having rashes and it hurts down in your lower regions you need to get to a gyno asap it could be anything from a severe yeast infection to an STD. GL and I certainly hope it's nothing serious.
Avatar f tn Yeast infection, I use to be on the nuvaring and it did that to me to, my doctor took me off it and put me on the pill
Avatar n tn The area itchs and it almost feels like a yeast infection, but there is no odor. I have been on Nuvaring for several years. I know I do not have an STD beause I have been to the OBGYN twice. Does anyone know if this is a yeast infection, or possibly something else. I was just taking antibiotics for a recent oral surgery.
987826 tn?1249001138 i used to have nuva ring, and i had noticed i started having UTI symptoms, it burned when i peed, my abdomen hurt really bad. the doctors kept giving me antibiotics telling me that it was a UTI and that it wouldnt last. After having a "UTI" once a month for a year. I went to see my gynecologist and she advised me to remove Nuva ring. I did so and since then i feel really good. ive been off it for a little over 3 months and i will never go back to it.
Avatar n tn I was on the Nuva Ring a couple years ago. It caused me to have a lot of discharge which wasn't a yeast infection. That was the reason why I switched back to the Pill. Just contact your doc and see what their opinion is about the discharge.
Avatar f tn t have any of the symptoms of a yeast infection, but we read that oral sex could cause my yeast infection. Is there anything that he could treat himself with to help me out? I have given him the external tube of Monistat, but it says its for itching, and he doesn't have anything??
5121963 tn?1363905257 I have a few questions about the NuvaRing before I try it out: 1) Would I be getting UTI's or Yeast infections more? (I do get them very easily) 2) How do I take the NuvaRing out?? There's no string or anything attatched to it, such as a tampon has. And how far do you have to put it up? 3) Does NuvaRing make it difficult to have sex? Would he notice it? Thank you everyone for taking your time to read my questions and give the best advice!
Avatar f tn I’m not sure if this is another yeast infection, or some sort of reaction I have having to my birth control, the nuvaring. I am also experiencing painful urination, feels like a uti but after drinking a lot of water, the pain subsides. I have been to the doctor multiple times and they run tests for all STDs as well as utis and vaginal problems, all the tests come back negative.
Avatar f tn And secondly, could the irriation be related to the bumps? If so, what is it? Or is it because of my Nuvaring? My mother thinks I have a yeast infection because of it. Please help me out. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Had it hated it got terrible yeast infection it was horrible.

Avatar m tn She did a swab test and I will hear back in 10 days, but she also gave me meds for a yeast infection as well as herpes. I took the pill she gave for the yeast infection and got monistat and have put cream on it and any pain I have had has gone away within the last 24 hours. I know the sores are still there, but they are smaller. Am I right to assume that a combo of all of the above has just lead to the most painful yeast infection ever?
Avatar f tn I also wanted to note that I am on the Nuvaring and have PCOS
Avatar f tn continuation of symptoms may call for a second round of treatment. Visit the doctor to make sure a yeast infection was the proper diagnosis. Yeast infections are normal occurrences in woman.
Avatar f tn Various reasons for recurrent or persistent fungal infection are incomplete treatment treatment resistance, co-existing dermatitis, diabetes and low immunity. Diagnosis can be confirmed only after pelvic examination and swab samples of the discharge and cervix swabs. Treatment depends on the same. So please consult a gynecologist and get yourself evaluated. I hope it helps.
Avatar f tn It's confirmed that I have a yeast infection, so I went to Walgreens and bought Monistat 1 a (one day treatment) its the one with the ovule insert. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I'm kind of nervous to use this product I have many questions like will it work?, can it harm my baby?
Avatar f tn If any infection is left untreated that is when you can have issues.
Avatar f tn It is now Monday, February 9th and I just took my 4th nightly treatment and i feel better no more signs of yeast, should i keep going??? Or should i let the antifungal cream work it's ways out of my vaginal canal. I am scheduled to be induced in 3 days now. Sorry it's so long! Please help!
Avatar f tn Various reasons for recurrent or persistent fungal infection are incomplete treatment, treatment resistance , co-existing dermatitis, diabetes and low immunity. Treatment resistance can be overcome by applying a cream with a combination of antifungals (Clotrimazole 1%, Miconazole nitrate 2%, Tolnaftate 1% and Butenafine hydrochloride 1%) and oral antifungals.
