Throw the ring away and choose 1 of the 2 options below:
1. Insert a new ring immediately. This begins the next 3-week use period. You may not have a period but you may experience breakthrough spotting or bleeding.
2. Have your period and insert a new ring no later than 7 days from the time the previous ring was removed or expelled. This option should be chosen only if the ring was used continuously for the preceding 7 days.
I've had pills and nuvaring. I'm in the same boat as you. I forgot pills. I'm scared the shot will make me gain weight. I'm allergic to latex so can't use the patch. My doctor won't do IUDs for personal reasons which I agree with. My coworker got the implanon and she is allergic to it and itches like crazy and she said it really hurts. I think I'll end up going back on nuvaring. I didn't gain weight.
i havnt had a period in two months i just got put on the nuvaring and im cramping alot is that normal..
That's about how long I was on it too. I took mine out around June of last year and conceived in September, so it doesn't take long. That's the bonus of nuvaring, it's supposed to have little to no side effects when you take it out. I ended up miscarrying that conception at about 6 weeks, and haven't had luck yet since then, but at least I know I am indeed ovulating since I got pregnant once!
Thank you Gail. I am just worry after hearing stories that women are fine and then end up stage 3. I guess at this point I need to trust my dr.'s that I've been sufficiently checked out. I am overly worried about getting cancer.
I am part of a high risk breast cancer program and they told me birth control was ok so I feel that I've checked that out too.
When I stopped taking it, my weight levelled out and I stopped gaining (and my migraines went away too).
After two years off the birth control though, my periods stopped coming, so I went to the doctor who put me on the NuvaRing for three months, "to jump-start your periods," she told me. She also told me I probably had PCOS, but refused to run any tests. I tried a few other doctors and none of them were any help either.
I stopped taking Nuvaring 4 months ago and my weigfht is rising.I have gained 9 kilos' in that time.I have never been so heavy before.My diet did not change and i train 3 times a week at gym.
Nuvaring is the worst BC i have ever tried . I got moody, got vaginal tearing every day just from wiping myself, i got heave discharge, fatigue.... the list goes on.No-one knows how long it takes to get rid of.Even my doctor told me that it should be out of my system within 3 days..B$%^&*@#$ !!!!!
Ok so I took a hpt last night and it was negative. I took another one this morning and it had a really light line. So I'm gonna try to get blood work done Monday to confirm if its a yes or no. I hate waiting lol.
I knew nothing about pancreatitis before that day but that day changed my life forever. I went into the emergency room 3 times before they finally figured out what was wrong and admitted me. Once they realized the severity of my condition they said if I had waited even 24 before getting treatment I could have died. I was there for 10 days. I spent my 30th Birthday and Thanksgiving in that hospital. I couldn't eat or drink anything for 8 of those 10 days.
I just started NuvaRing on the 5th day after my period ended (December 30th). I know that you must use a back-up method for a minimum of 7 days. My fiance and I had unprotected sex on December 31st and again on January 1st. I read that it would be too soon for me to be ovulating (January 5th through the 10th is what I researched through an ovluation calendar).I have had cramping in my left side, but I believe that it is absolutely too early to have any signs of pregnancy.
to the point were my boyfriend loses his erection anytime we try and have sex. Can i take the nuvaring out to have sex then put it back in after and still be protected. Two different pharmacist, and a few people who have used the nuvaring in the past have said yes but my Dr. said no. I don't really know who to believe.
