nuvaring and acne

Hi there, I am a 29 year old female - and about 7 months ago I stopped using Nuvaring. I already had a bit of adult acne and some weight gain before I stopped, but after I stopped the acne went a little crazy - on the lower half of my face and my neck. It has also been a bit over 6 months since I've had a period, which is beginning to freak me out.

I decided to go off the nuvaring, which I was on only for acne. I felt incredibly better after only a week and after 2 weeks I felt like super woman. I discovered many other issues stemming from nuvaring including shortness of breath and horrible completely out of character mood swings.

I was on nuvaring for four years before I stopped taking it so I could try for another baby and I will be getting it after this baby also.. its so easy and like the other poster said, I didn't gain any weight, acne was gone and definitely wasn't hormonal at all! You put it in for 21 days and then take it out for 7 days then you get a new one and put it in for another 21 days and so on..

My OB thought I had endometriosis for a while too because I had similar symptoms and could not take the pill because then I was ALWAYS on my period(no fun). She did an u/s and found nothing, and prescribed me the patch. I actually had no issues on the patch, but silly me just stopped putting it on and now I am 20weeks!

i had problems with acne and hairiness hence different pills, and i experienced depression and moodiness on different pills. Nuvaring ( I got continuous uti infections from having this inside me) Implanon- no sex drive at all ( relationship issues due to that) Depo provera injection worked for me was happy with this but I'm not sure its suitable to my above conditions.

but my mom has told me im going on the depo shot, im very upset. i hard it makes you gain over 10 pounds and gives you headahcs and can even make acne worse. im also worried about having a pap smear, do you think i will have to have one for this?

Now, since december my period comes and is super heavy with very large clots. I have acne which has never been an issue before I feel like my emotions are going crazy and my period will last about 6 days then stop for two days then come back for like 5-6 more days. I went to the doc last month who didn't really say anything just gave me nuvaring birth control but I hate hormonal both control so I haven't even started it.

All of the extra hormones, including the hormones inside of the semen, make your vagina very sensitive to semen. When i was on the nuvaring...semen burned. Nuvaring=hormones. No nuvaring and not pregnant=fine. Now 36 weeks pregnant and semen burns.

Lexi is nine months old now, and I quit birth control three or four months ago because I tried the NuvaRing and hated it (my cervix was really low when I put it in, and it made it uncomfortable). This month I had spotting at ovulation, and I didn't think anything of it until DH told me that the condom had broke two days before the spotting started. At 8 dpo I started spotting and have been spotting brown and red ever since.

I'm on nuvaring too and I'm usually way more than 3 days late. I'll take the ring out on Sunday and then won't get my period until Friday. I know how you feel, though. I get totally freaked out when my period is late too. But the reply before yours, peekawho, is right. Wait a week and test again.

She tried the hormone cream for two months and had to stretch herself every day. Came close but then the damned acne set in and that was unacceptable. It's not like I'm huge. I'm considered at top end average but at this point she can only accept what she refers to as "pencil dicks" and that ain't me. I can manipulate her to orgasm but neither oral nor manual does **** for me. I need the real thing.

so after a couple of months i switched to yasmin and that was great for a while. i didnt gain any weight. it really helped with acne and my boobs grew quick! lol but after taking it for 2 years my libido(sex drive) was practically gone. ike i said it may be different for other people. and when i got married it turned into a big problem so i switched to lo-estrin. which was good for my libido, but not so much for my acne and i gained a little weight.

I am also allergic to latex and tried the NuvaRing and had quite a severe latex allergic reaction to it. I ripped my Gyno a new one after that happened. I understand that it's technically latex-free, but it contains the same main ingredient as latex (which is what caused the reaction) and I feel that needs to be mentioned on the box at least.

I had sex fathers day and the 29th and the condom broke but i hav the nuva ring and i got my period but its lasts 3-4 days well i put nuvaring back in on july 5th then had unprotected sex (pull out) on the 7th of july i feel different always hungry n and expect period in a wk wen can i test or how do i kno for sure if test is negative could it be from nuvaring because with my 2yo i had missed period n tested negative

I also have Mirena and I love it. You couldn't pay me to use Depo for any amount of money. It's just not safe and one of the worst things about it is that if you have bad side effects on it, all you can do is wait the 3 months for it to wear off cause it's already in your bloodstream. Unlike with the pill, which you can quit at anytime or Mirena or nuvaring, which you can take out anytime.

I was on Acutane for my acne at age 21 and started have joint pain and had no idea what it was...when oit got worse I figured okay well maybe its my vitamins birthcontrol or acutane so i stopped all three, next morning was fine!

Hello I’m 26 years old I got off the NuvaRing about 9 months ago and since then my body has been going through a lot of weird things. I was hoping to see if anyone has gone through a similar experience?

3 months ago I switched to Nuvaring from the pill. Hubby and I were going to wait until the spring to start ttc. My dr said I could leave my ring in for 4 weeks to avoid my period so technically I haven't had my period since October 9. I have exactly 1 week until I can either take it out for my period or leave it in to avoid it. I have been bloated and hungry all the time. Yesterday I was exhausted after shopping for 2 hours and napped when I woke up I was so nauseous.

I've really never done birth control long term but I know i really need to find something that works for me. My fiance wants to have a baby soon after the little one we have coming in February so I have to pee proactive about family planning lol. I'm nervous that it'll make me gain weight. I'm thinking I'll try the pill since I'm leary of implants and things have to put inserted by a doctor. Has anyone had experiences with the pill and the side effects?

I am now on day 3 of no nuvaring and I am cramping bleeding large blood clots and I cant find any info about what to expect after the removal and stopping the use of nuvaring
