I am HSV 1 negative and HSV2 positive from a "specific blood test". I have never had any symptoms, but got a blood test because I believe ex husband may have had HSV2 Genital but he was never sure. If I did contract HSV2, it was MANY years ago. Test was done through LabCorp, who says the manufacturer was Trinity Biotech, and my score was 1.99 (they say >1.10 is positive).
worry about the half week to 12 or week and a half to 13 weeks , generation and manufacturer of the test cause on the paper only says elisa hiv 1 / 2 .i don t know if the generation or manufacter really affect the accuracy or in fact is the same for all elisas......

First, have another HSV-2 antibody test produced by a different manufacturer. For example, get the BiokitUSA test, which is done in 20 minutes while waiting in the doctor's office. If positive, it will almost certainly mean you are infected. If negative, it will reinforce the possibility of a false positive test. Second, have an HSV Western blot test (done at the University of Washington laboratory in Seattle, but can be sent to them by any lab).

I want to know how important is to know the TEST kit manufacturer while testing in Africa ( Guiney concreay). I am worried about standard followed in Gunia.

Would it be possible to contract any kind of blood to blood diseases from a home test kit? I'm very worried about the fact that I used an unapproved DIY test kit a couple of months back.. I tested again at 11 weeks after i took that test with a proper test in a lab and the result was negative too but I'm concerned that this home test kit may have been dangerous. What do you think?
Can you provide the full test specifics? The manufacturer of the kit, IgG or IgM and values of the results.

They depend on the test kit that the lab used to carry out the assay, and they vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
ther result came back positive with rapid test.so another rapid test of a different manufacturer is used again to test. that result also positive. both cases were weak test lines. so.on that day a lab and make ELISA lab test. and the result came back negative. all tests were performed 3 month after unsafe encounter. what should i do now?
Hi , is it possible to receive an elisa antibody/antigen test result within one hour. I was told it took days to get an accurate result from this type of test. If the elisa test was rushed and results were given in one hour, can i trust the results of this test. I believe they used the newer generation elisa test. Is it possible newer generation test results can be received in one hour, i was told by a doctor it is unlikely to be accurate. Pls give your advice.
