Im 34 and in great shape, lift 4-5 days per week, low blood pressure 120/80 / 110/70 with a total cholesterol of 175. I've been on nexium for 2 years from messing up my stomach from vicodin and coffee. The last year I've been experiencing constant belching and bloating in my stomach after certain foods but staring to belch a lot after all meals. I'm now experiencing my heart skipping beats during my belching bouts, and when I go out and drink alcohol.

I was given samples of Nexium to try for two weeks. At the end of the trial, I did not notice any improvement. I also had developed new problems of bloating, especially just to the left of my "six-pack". When I sat down, it felt like something was being crushed or pinched in my abdomen also had pain under my solar plexus and across my abdomen just under my rib cage. I had a lot of belching and gas while on Nexium.

Hi....I also have gone from the one to the other, but the PPI's stopped working for me, and I am doing better on the Nexium which is a H2 inhibitor. Do u have IBS issues?...Constipation as well as bloating?Were u on antibiotics recently? Have u had a PH test done to make sure ur issue is too much acid? Too little acid can cause the same symptoms, but when u take the meds to reduce acids when there is too little already u will feel worse. Ask about a PH test.....

Since August of 2010 I've had chest pain, difficulty breathing, incredible stomach bloating/distention (even after just drinking a glass of water), burping, reflux, and heartburn. My main concern is the bloating and difficulty breathing. I can barely function on a day to day basis. I eat little bites all day long because I can't eat a full meal or I start hyperventilating. I have had an EGD which showed a polyp (was removed) and some mild esophagitis. I don't have H.

Nexium is a kind of shield for afib . Gerd and bloating can definitely trigger afib . In my case : my Afib is triggered by jumping during tennis , also basketball . Even during sudden break with my car Afib could happen . I tested few times for potential H.hernia but results are negative .

X rays/ultrasound/endoscopy/colonoscopy were negative. Blood work to check for heart issues and infection Plori was negative. It seems like previously Nexium seem to help a little. I did have slighly low iron level. One gastro specialist think IBS, but I am not constipated. Though I did notice bloating and less bowel moveements than before. Any suggestions or other tests that you recommend?

After taking Celebrex about 6 years ago, I gradually started developing heartburn & reflux. It got so bad that I couldn't eat anything but saltine crackers and I lost 20 pounds over about a 2 month period. To go along with this, I would have episodes of tachycardia (heart rate 130 - 140) & difficulty breathing. The episodes of tachycardia & dyspnea seemed to be associated with stomach bloating & nausea.

I have pain in the place where my Esophagus and Stomach meet and I get heart burn, bloating and constapation. My Doctor has me on Nexium 40 mil. twice a day and I still suppliment with tums. Will a colon cleanse solve my problem? I am desparate to feel normal again.

i understand what your going through bec. we are exactly on the same boat.have you read the post from sickboy1 in this forum?if not, try reading it,its a detailed explanation of what he had been through (medicines,tests,drs etc.) including his advice and his research leading him to believe that its bile reflux. i think he also mentioned that he is going through diversion surgery.its a major surgery i believe wherein they'll divert bile flow to a lower part of the intestine.

I have been experiencing acid reflux, abdominal cramping and excessive bloating for over a year now. I have tried giving up different foods, acidic foods and beverages and nothing seems to help. I have had endoscopy, colonoscopy and ultra sound as well as blood work and everything comes out normal. I have tried Nexium, Asiphex and most other acid inhibitors but none seem to really help.

And yes Nexium as Pepela suggested is also in the PPI class

It takes a while sometimes to control GERD. I have had GERD for the past 10 years and take medication for it, but I still have symptoms from time to time. The pressure feeling I am having is totally different from the GERD symptoms I have had in the past and is very intense. Let us know what you find out.

I have been on Nexium for 4 years I just stopped taking It only because my medicaid no longer covers It. And I just started doing reserch on the Nexium because of medical issues I have came down with since I been on Nexium. I have eye problems with very blurred vision. Bone and joint pain, had MRI And It showed buldging disk in my neck a bad disk in my upper back,And my spine is full of bone spurs. I came down with all of this just since I been on the Nexium . Oh!

I went on Pepcid ac, pantoprazol, and now my doc prescribed nexium. These meds work for a few weeks then stop working. I am now wondering if my stomach issues start over every time I take another bluechew pill (which is only once every few weeks). Has anyone else had stomach issues with viagra or generic sildenafil?

2013 March - They found that I have H Pylori infection and treated me 3 times with nexium antibiotic treatment. Still the sensation of sqeezing in stomach, heart or chest pain existed and still continuing.Endoscopy and Colono scopy were done and everything looked normal. Continuing Nexium treatment.Fatty liver and fatty pancreas diagnosed. 2014 March - Endoscopy, CT Scan and Ultra sound were done.Results say Gastric antrum mild chronic inflammation, fatty liver and pancreas.

I started a new med for my heart which recently started acting up could that be the culprit for these side effects and not the colonscopy but I've only been on the new med for a week or so. Someone help.

i had hiatal hernia surgery 10 years ago, it worked great , and 1 year ago my symptoms returned hard, look for alkaline diets on google,give it a try for a week eating 70% alkaline foods and 30% acid, i was suffering for extreme acid reflux, i changed my diet and stop using 40 gram nexium , i am out of nexium now and feel better than ever, no bloating, no reflux and my throat feels like singing!!! i hope it works for you! god bless!

If I move around alot my mid back hurts til I rest awhile. I now have bloating and rumbling stomach. Feels like something is stuck in my left side. I am taking nexium 40 MG. I have yellow diarrhea. I have random single hiccups off and on all day. Going on 3 weeks now. I am having a endoscopy and colonoscopy done in a few weeks. The anxiety is getting the best of me worrying. Anybody going thru same symptoms?

I have had blood tests, ECG, CT scan, abdominal scans and nothing came back abnormal. Over the weekend for no reason my stomach suddenly started bloating and I got a tightness under my ribcage area and felt very hot and weird/spaced out feeling which all seemed to be stomach related. ) My mother did and found she had low stomach acid after being told for 25 years she had high. She stopped nexium and gaviscon immediately and started digestive enzyme supplements (to help with digestion - good for low and high acid conditions) and betaine HCI with pepsin to increase stomach acid. 5 years of severe GERD and LPR gone within a few weeks and 25 years of gastritis 95% better after a year. Not familiar with the tests you have had done but this test is easy lol...

In addition to the above, for the last week I have been experiencing bloating, belching, uncomfortable upper abdominal and lower abdominal, diarrhea. These symptoms could be due to a stomach infection or food poisoning. I seem to eat a little and become bloated quick.

Thank you so much for replying. I feel for you man. Nexium didn't work for me either but I have been taking Sulcrate Plus Suspension (solution) and it is doind a better job than Nexium. I take it 1/2 an hour before meals and I can eat. I haven't experienced any discomfort yet. And my results show that all my organs are healthy so I am sure that it is H. Pyroli bacteria but my doctor said that a breathe test is not 100% accurate so he suggested endoscopy. Lets see.

Here are the meds I am own - Questran - 1 packet for irritable bowl, Prozac for OCD, Allergy Injections, Methyldopa for blood pressure, and Trilipix for Triglycerides (nearly 1000), and Vitamin D. I am only 30!! I am overwieght but work hard to get rid of it with little or no results. They even checked me for Cushings. My TSH is low at 0.3 and I have a Goiter but no known thyroid problem. I have acne. Anyone know what could be causing my heartburn to be so severe?
