Nebivolol heart failure

Common Questions and Answers about Nebivolol heart failure

bystolic

Avatar m tn Flecainide is a pretty powerful medication and Im surprised that your doctor has prescribed it so early. Flecainide can cause congestive heart failure if your heart is not strong. It did not cause me a problem but I am in pretty good physical shape and can stay on a treadmill test for over 15 minutes... I guess it would depend on your overall situation as to whether or not you should take it.. Im no doctor but its just my gut feeling that your doctor is over medicating you.
705966 tn?1239408751 I think that degree of heart-rate reduction is normal for beta blockers, of which atenolol is one. Should you be concerned? Well, as you say you have no symptoms. But there is another angle at work here which is not that well known yet. It probably is more than you wanted to know, but I'll post it anyway because maybe some of the regulars might find it interesting. It has to do with the concept of central blood pressure.
Avatar n tn I have not noticed any differences in my heart rythyms , Except my heart rate has gone up. I do not feel as bad on Bystolic as metoprolo, I seem to have more dizzyness on Bystolic. I do get some chest discomfort while on Bystolic that the metoprolo kept at bay.
Avatar m tn My BP was well-controlled on 100 mg Losartin and 7.5 mg Amlodipine, averaging around 125/68. At peak exertion, during a treadmill stress test recently, my systolic BP reached 215. My cardiologist subbed 5 mg Nebivolol for the Amlodipine due to what he described as exercise-related hypertension. I took this medication for a week and experienced a range of unpleasant side effects, including exhaustion, significant depression and reduced heart rate (mid-60s, compared with my normal mid-80s).
Avatar f tn My mother currently taking nebivolol 5mg in morning and amlodipine/perindopril 5/8mg in evening for hypertension. Her blood pressure has recently been improved and taking both pills cause low blood pressure, she is also suffering from cough as a side effect from perindopril. I am considering to shift her to nebivolol only but 5 mg once a day is not controlling the blood pressure well. My question is can nebivolol be taken twice a day in 2.
Avatar m tn Im 17 and doctors say i have hypertension, which i start to panic when someone checks my bp with heart rate monitor. I am currently drinking nebivolol and i want to know if this medicine will stunt growth?
Avatar f tn i took it for about 14 mths for svt ,and i found it to be ok ,there are better ones for svt ,like neiblet{nebivolol} which is a more selective for the heart ,but inderal is known to be good for migraine as well...for the first few weeks just watch standing up quick and things like that ,it is better started on a low dose and moved up as needed,,but apart from that it seems to be well tolerated by most.
Avatar m tn I am getting a catheter shunt first to treat the PDA to prevent heart failure, and then a catheter ablation on the Focal Atrial Tachycardia, which apparently has a very low success rate, but fingers crossed I'll be in that small percentile! Already cutting down on the smoking - stupidly addicted - going to try my best to give them up over the next two weeks.
Avatar f tn I got sick a few years ago and it wekened my heart. I take Coreg(Carvedilol) and Lisinopril. I still want children very badly and was told that basically, there were meds that I can take instead of Lisinopril, but I would have to stop taking Coreg. Of course, I would just have to see how I would do without Coreg... Are there any alternatives to Coreg?
Avatar m tn My doctor just recommend a new med called nebivolol (bystolic) to me thst im pretty hesitant to try as propranolol does help Most out of what ive tried. The nebivolol bystolic didnt get the besr reviews from what ive seen. thats just my experiences and what things have worked and not worked for me on an individual basis. I feel some of my pvcs are caused by anxiety, some by exercise or increase in working out and some by large meals.

Avatar f tn I try being on a diet but know i am taking Crestor 20mg for triglicerides, and nebivolol 5mg for my bp. I have had some cases of high heart beat and doctors said its nothing to worry about. I had onew 12 years ago, 1one 8 years ago and one 2 yeears ago. They come and go within 10 minutes. Its something with my electrical paths of my heart but doctors said there is no need to worry for now.My docotr said that high bp is due to my sensitive character, and tryglicerides is gentics.
899454 tn?1295583938 Medicines I take are Nebivolol (Bystolic) 5 mg daily and 4.5 mg Bromazepam 3 mg in the morning and 1.5 mg before bedtime. I remember in 2009 when I got those ectopics here and there I was so worried! I started taking magnesium, watching my diet and I made it till now with the ectopics here and there. On the anxiety front I wasn't doing so bad either. My last panic attack was in November 2014 while I was on vacation.
Avatar f tn Hello, I was recently in hospital for initiation of new drugs for my inappropriate sinus tachycardia. The drugs (Ivabradine and Nebivolol) were successful while I was in hospital but since coming home I've been having complications.
715004 tn?1309077280 Record your heart rate also. I do not know how fast your heart rate was or how high your blood pressure was when your doctor prescribed the beta blocker. If it were me, I would want to know exactly what is wrong before taking beta blocker and nitros. Nitros are bad for the liver. If stress is causing your symptoms, you might want to try a vitamin B stress complex. It really does help calm. It could be that you are lacking the B vitamins from your diet.
Avatar f tn I recently went to a health and nutrition store...as I read the good effects of Hawthorne Berry on the heart.. I took that, but not at the same time as atenolol. My heartbeat is worse then ever and sooooo strong and uncomfortable! I won't go off the heart meds until I can slowly cut down. Does anyone have suggestions as to what I should do? No insurance becasue of layoffs, so this is hard. Heart tests as of last fall (2008) were normal. THANKYOU!
Avatar m tn My Patty was diagnosed with Heart Failure 10 days ago, he had been doing pretty good, not liking taking his meds but now he is NOT wanting to eat and when we make it liquid and squirt it down his throat, it has started coming back up. He has no problem drinking and peeing. He is a month over 15 years old and my precious baby. Any ideas out there, he goes back to his dr in 2 days but I am about sick, his mom died of kidney failure and I hate to think this is happening to him.
Avatar m tn Those aren't the signs of ecstasy and certainly after a period of 2 months, the drug would be completely out of your system. I would go and have some blood tests to see what is going on.
Avatar n tn I now have many of the long term complications. The one that is most difficult is heart failure, specifically diastolic heart failure. I would like to communicate with others who are dealing with this to see if they experience the same issues that I do. I was diagnosed with this heart condition 5 years ago, and have had a triple bypass 2 years ago. The problems result from the interaction of the heart condition with my diabetes. Your response would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn There are doctors forums where you can ask an expert your question. If you go to the top where it says forums pick Doctors Forums. This forum is generally attended by patients only. You should also probably seek out a doctor in your area to go see to be evaluated in person. That said, palpitations don't necessarily mean anything. the heart has to be evaluated to know exactly what it is you are feeling and if what you are feeling is dangerous to your heart.
Avatar n tn You really need your doctor to give you an explanation about your report. Your report indicates that a portion of your heart is not beating properly and your heart is not pumping efficiently. Did your report give an ejection fraction (EF%) by chance? That would help. In any case, no one here is qualified to tell you the implications of your report, please see your doctor.
Avatar f tn I have health anxiety so I’m terrified I have heart failure. She said it’s asthma But my Inhaler doesn’t help and my breathing treatment only brought me from 73% to 75% on my lung function test. She did an ekg and it came back abnormal saying I have horizontal axis for age and Abnormal precordial QRS contours-nondiagnostic for this age. She literally said “I don’t know what that means but if you have heart failure you wouldn’t be able to breathe when lying down.
Avatar f tn No one here can possibly tell you its okay for your friend to take a non-prescribed opiate. He needs to ask his doctor about this. Good luck.
