Nebivolol use in europe

Common Questions and Answers about Nebivolol use in europe

bystolic

Avatar m tn Hi, The medication's generic name is "Nebivolol". It's Brand Name is Nebilet, you may have the spelling off a little. From what I read, the drug "is a so-called vasodilating beta blocker. Thus, in contrast to traditional beta blockers, it is more patient friendly in that it maintains systemic flow and blood flow to target organs, lowers vascular resistance, and has very little, if any, metabolic adverse effects," Messerli explained.
Avatar f tn My mother currently taking nebivolol 5mg in morning and amlodipine/perindopril 5/8mg in evening for hypertension. Her blood pressure has recently been improved and taking both pills cause low blood pressure, she is also suffering from cough as a side effect from perindopril. I am considering to shift her to nebivolol only but 5 mg once a day is not controlling the blood pressure well. My question is can nebivolol be taken twice a day in 2.

Avatar n tn Hi GranRon- I just started taking bystolic about two weeks ago. While I'm on a very low dose (2.5mg/day), it still seems to be pretty effective in keeping me out of A-fib. I've been on metoprolol before, and had some awful side effects with that one, but the bystolic seems to tame those down quite a bit for me. I've only had two instances in which I could tell I was experiencing some slight side effects (dizziness, slight shortness of breath, pressure).
Avatar m tn After my second ever episode of fast atrial fibrillation, resolved through electric shock, my cardiologist prescribed 100mg flecaine and 2.5mg nebivolol to be taken every day. This as a preventive measure. I have read on the medicine info notice that these two medicines should not be taken together. My cardiologist states that they are routinely prescribed together by cardiologists these days. I have never taken any heart drug, and feel a bit concerned. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Avatar f tn Hi, All beta blockers are known to result in some degree of erectile dysfunction in males & decreased libido in females. However, nebivolol is one beta blocker which has got vasodilatory properties & hence can be one of the alternatives of carvedilol. However, you can continue taking lisinopril. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Avatar m tn My cardiologist subbed 5 mg Nebivolol for the Amlodipine due to what he described as exercise-related hypertension. I took this medication for a week and experienced a range of unpleasant side effects, including exhaustion, significant depression and reduced heart rate (mid-60s, compared with my normal mid-80s). I've been off the Nebivolol for five days, but I'm still experiencing these side effects. My heart rate has only come back to about 67-68.
Avatar m tn But now his condition is worsening gradually. He is feeling very weakness in his whole body and feeling restlesness pain in his two leg.Now we are in very difficulty please help us out for certain treatment.
Avatar m tn http://www.euro.who.int/__data/assets/pdf_file/0009/127656/e94500.pdf It helped me by understanding a little more about HIV reality and how "real" it is on my society, and of course how my situation looks under this statistics. For example I just found out that there were 382 new cases of HIV in my country in 2009. From this 382 new cases, 189 were heterosexuals, 143 were homosexuals, 40 drug users and 10 got it from their parents.
705966 tn?1239408751 I think that degree of heart-rate reduction is normal for beta blockers, of which atenolol is one. Should you be concerned? Well, as you say you have no symptoms. But there is another angle at work here which is not that well known yet. It probably is more than you wanted to know, but I'll post it anyway because maybe some of the regulars might find it interesting. It has to do with the concept of central blood pressure.
Avatar m tn my question is.
Avatar m tn 25 mg extended release, which is obviously not enough, though I feel great in terms of strength and alertness and stamina, that were all seriously diminished when I was taking Propranolol. So, now I am wondering: I definitely need to go up at least to 50 mg, but should I do a 50 mg Metoprolol once a day, or can I take the 25 mg tablets twice a day (every 12 hours).
Avatar m tn Im 17 and doctors say i have hypertension, which i start to panic when someone checks my bp with heart rate monitor. I am currently drinking nebivolol and i want to know if this medicine will stunt growth?
Avatar m tn Some hospitals may have satellite (smaller) hospitals in other locations as well. I am just not familiar with how it works in Europe so hopefully someone else can chime in.
899454 tn?1295583938 Medicines I take are Nebivolol (Bystolic) 5 mg daily and 4.5 mg Bromazepam 3 mg in the morning and 1.5 mg before bedtime. I remember in 2009 when I got those ectopics here and there I was so worried! I started taking magnesium, watching my diet and I made it till now with the ectopics here and there. On the anxiety front I wasn't doing so bad either. My last panic attack was in November 2014 while I was on vacation.
Avatar m tn in europe we use comma for numbers, using a point means 223700 you have high immune activity in the liver, which of course makes liver damage.according to the fibroscan you can make treatment, at least according to euro/italian guidelines how is your vitd25oh?
Avatar f tn t allow me to receive more than a 6 months supply before I leave for a year in Spain. They said to have someone in the US pick up the refills and mail them to me in Spain. But I've heard horror stories about Customs in Spain holding onto packages for weeks. I had a TT and thus needs my meds for survival (this is the only thing about my condition that freaks me out...the idea that I might not have the meds available for some reason).
Avatar f tn I try being on a diet but know i am taking Crestor 20mg for triglicerides, and nebivolol 5mg for my bp. I have had some cases of high heart beat and doctors said its nothing to worry about. I had onew 12 years ago, 1one 8 years ago and one 2 yeears ago. They come and go within 10 minutes. Its something with my electrical paths of my heart but doctors said there is no need to worry for now.My docotr said that high bp is due to my sensitive character, and tryglicerides is gentics.
Avatar f tn i took it for about 14 mths for svt ,and i found it to be ok ,there are better ones for svt ,like neiblet{nebivolol} which is a more selective for the heart ,but inderal is known to be good for migraine as well...for the first few weeks just watch standing up quick and things like that ,it is better started on a low dose and moved up as needed,,but apart from that it seems to be well tolerated by most.
Avatar m tn - Through my frantic searching through government reports and statistics online Ive found that the country in question has a high rate of STDs amongst commercial sex workers (43% was the figure I saw) as well as a high rate of HIV. - The worker herself looked ill. She was stumbling, looked as though she was either high on drugs or permanently damaged by them somehow, and very thin. Im worried she had HIV. - She provided the condom.
Avatar n tn I was also in Europe once and had to call in as I was having a rip roaring AFib event. I packed the extra meds so I was able to take the right amount when instructed by my EP when I phoned him Europe. Upon my return from my trip, I was back in his office for medication adjustment. The pill in the pocket is not the standard way to treat AFib but only a way to help you through the event. You need to follow up with the EP as the current meds you are taking may not be doing the trick.
1563217 tn?1300198557 An example that comes to mind is that there seems to be a more frequent use of SAM-e for treatment of depression in Europe, rather than the American approach of immediately prescribing SSRIs and other pharma meds. Is there any analagous difference in treatment of bipolar depression? (Side note and warning that SAM-e is described as inappropriate for bipolar disorder because of potential to trigger anxiety and mania.) Interested to hear any thoughts on this, thanks.
