Flecainide is a pretty powerful medication and Im surprised that your doctor has prescribed it so early. Flecainide can cause congestive heart failure if your heart is not strong. It did not cause me a problem but I am in pretty good physical shape and can stay on a treadmill test for over 15 minutes... I guess it would depend on your overall situation as to whether or not you should take it.. Im no doctor but its just my gut feeling that your doctor is over medicating you.

I think that degree of heart-rate reduction is normal for beta blockers, of which atenolol is one. Should you be concerned? Well, as you say you have no symptoms. I also tried metoprolol which was eventually replaced by atenolol. Both dropped my blood pressure somewhat, but also lowered my resting heart rate down into the 40's during sleep. I asked my cardiologist about discontinuing the atenolol and he said to decrease the dose gradually. I have not taken any meds for the last week and my resting heart rate is now in the 60's or low 70's and my blood pressure has not changed that much.

I am getting a catheter shunt first to treat the PDA to prevent heart failure, and then a catheter ablation on the Focal Atrial Tachycardia, which apparently has a very low success rate, but fingers crossed I'll be in that small percentile! I feel some of my pvcs are caused by anxiety,some by exercise or increase in working out and some by large meals. Other people actually have more at lower heart rates and exercise actually helps them where it has the opposite effect for me.

Medicines I take are Nebivolol (Bystolic) 5 mg daily and 4.5 mg Bromazepam 3 mg in the morning and 1.5 mg before bedtime. I remember in 2009 when I got those ectopics here and there I was so worried! Im 17 and doctors say i have hypertension, which i start to panic when someone checks my bp with heart rate monitor. I am currently drinking nebivolol and i want to know if this medicine will stunt growth?

i took it for about 14 mths for svt ,and i found it to be ok ,there are better ones for svt ,like neiblet{nebivolol} which is a more selective for the heart ,but inderal is known to be good for migraine as well...for the first few weeks just watch standing up quick and things like that ,it is better started on a low dose and moved up as needed,,but apart from that it seems to be well tolerated by most.

Before I was diagnosed I suffered from tachycardia and sometimes PVC’s (once a month). My resting heart rate was around 80/90 bpm and when I was anxious above 120. The cardiologist put me on Bystolic (nebivolol) 2.5 mg a day. The med lowered my blood pressure (120/75) and lowered my heart rate (50+ bpm). I am in a way very pleased with the med. I another way I am now more aware of my PVC’s. Can it be possible that now that I have a more lower heart rate I am more aware of the PVC’s?

I got sick a few years ago and it wekened my heart. I take Coreg(Carvedilol) and Lisinopril. I still want children very badly and was told that basically, there were meds that I can take instead of Lisinopril, but I would have to stop taking Coreg. Of course, I would just have to see how I would do without Coreg... Are there any alternatives to Coreg?

,Tyroid test/Everything was normal except Triglicerides( they were 650 really high),my thyroid was ok /I started taking lypathil for my triglicerides and they went normal almost 220 for the first mounth.I had an echocardiogram to see my heart and valves and everything was ok with my heart.I dont know what it is and is it life threatning?A doctor said that i should make an electropphysical test of my heart to see whats wrong,but here there arent a lot of good doctors and i am afraid.

My doctor increased my dose a few months ago (I take 15 mg twice a day) and I feel like sometimes my heart palpitates and night. The palpitations are waking me up some nights. My BP also seems to be spiking on and off the last couple months. I'm wondering if it related to the Buspirone or something else? I try being on a diet but know i am taking Crestor 20mg for triglicerides, and nebivolol 5mg for my bp. I have had some cases of high heart beat and doctors said its nothing to worry about. I had onew 12 years ago, 1one 8 years ago and one 2 yeears ago.They come and go within 10 minutes.Its something with my electrical paths of my heart but doctors said there is no need to worry for now.My docotr said that high bp is due to my sensitive character, and tryglicerides is gentics.

Hello, I was recently in hospital for initiation of new drugs for my inappropriate sinus tachycardia. The drugs (Ivabradine and Nebivolol) were successful while I was in hospital but since coming home I've been having complications.

Now, I was just put on a beta blocker, nebivolol (or something like that) for a rapid heart rate, and a high BP reading at the time. My BP is usually fine. I ended up using 1/4(20mg) of Miccardis plus dossage and 1/4(1.25mg) nebivolol because my heart rate would go under 60 bpm if i used more(sometimes it went 48 BPM when i woke up in the morning) .Still had the symptoms though. I cut off coffe,i stopped smoking(been smoking for 15 years) .Went 4-5 times a day running(8KM total each morning) but symptoms were there not every day the same but some days stronger some days lighter. I went to a neurologist i did an EEG and came back normal.

why this odd disassociation between heart failure and NSVT when there ought to be a corelation? Also, which is more unsafe- heart failure symptoms without NSVT or NSVT without heart failure symptoms?

My Patty was diagnosed with Heart Failure 10 days ago, he had been doing pretty good, not liking taking his meds but now he is NOT wanting to eat and when we make it liquid and squirt it down his throat, it has started coming back up. He has no problem drinking and peeing. He is a month over 15 years old and my precious baby. If it is a rare occurance it probably is nothing. If it happens a lot, it is probably something, but the overwhelming odds are that something is far, far, far less sinister a medical condition than heart failure.
