nasonex sore throat

Not saying you have this....but I had a sore throat for 2 years and saw 2 hospitals and 3 doctors til the Ear Nose and Throat doc. Turns out he slid a little tube w/ camera down my throat (took just 2 min)and it was a burned up vocal chord from reflux! Now take med and it's GONE!

stuffy nose, followed by a sore throat (when swallowing). No temperature, headache or cough. The only thing I used before seeing doc was Afrin, Advil and some Zicam. Went to the doc, and she said it was a virus. She prescribed Nasonex, Astepro, and the usual "stay away from afrin" advice. My questions: 1) She prescribed switching off between Nasonex and Astepro--taking a dose of each on alternating days. Is this common?

- I say it like that because I have had the scratch test and injections and did not show to have any seasonal allergies. However, with my sore throat I have a lot of post nasal drip (possible cause of sore throat?). I take a combo of ibuphrophen, tylenol, and musinex to manage the pain. About 7 years ago I had reoccurring tonsillitis, saw an ENT and he put me on a strong antibiotic for 3 weeks.

sore throat,Vomiting,Painful menstrual cramps,Sinus infections,Viral infections,Coughing ,Nosebleeds,Joint pain,Bronchitis,Chest pain, ...etc ! to be honest with you anxiety and depression are not related , ask your doctor maybe you will take ,antidepressants again.

At time my ear iches, and my throat is sore when I swallow. I have not had a feaver, nor do I feel sick just this pain. Do you think it is more likley that I have an allergy to something, or do you think I have a virus. Do you know of any at home remidies to help sooth the pain?

t even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex! Well, my nose bleeds started with nasonex, the first time around was in the '90's, and no one seemed to know then that the nose bleeds were a side effect, although I kept having them and realized then that they occurred after using nasonex. Later, around 2007, I was told by a doctor, that it wouldn't be a bad idea to try it again, that it was actually a good drug.

I have had the lump like feeling in my throat for almost 3 weeks, been on Nasonex spray for 2 weeks. Now on antibiotics for the last 6 days. Still have lump feeling in throat, tightness in neck and throat, occasional ear pain. Any thoughts? Had allergy testing done last year and no allergies. Dr said there was heavy post nasal drip. Wouldn't this be clearing by now? Also under a tremendous amount of stress with a sick parent and a daughter who is in remission.

I am having pretty much the same problem. I have had such severe headaches these past few months, not to mention watery right eye, cracking in my ears and can only sleep on one side because ear popping is so bad on the other side,I finally made an appointment with the ear, nose & throat doctor, who has placed me on Nasonex. I took my first spray today and it actually helped. It seems to be waring off now though. Guess time will tell.

I'm 16, and I recently got put on amoxicillin for a really bad eat infection. When I went to the doctor, he said he saw no problems other than in my left sinuses which he assumed was the problem for my ear ache/runny nose/sore throat, etc. I've been taking nasonex, sudafed, and just today stopped taking my amoxicillin pills.

I have these painful red lumps in the left side of my throat. When I swallow it feels like a popcorn kernel is stuck there. The pain goes up into my ear. I have post nasal drip And the doctor only gave me nasonex. think I must be going crazy. After having throat/ear issues for over a month, I went to the doctor 10 days ago. He said I had a ton of fluid behind my ears and there was inflammation. He also said that my right ear drum looked really dull. He thinks my issues are being caused by a sinus infection. I've been taking Nasonex and antibiotics for 11 days and am still having problems. Here is where I think it gets weird. My ear bothers me when I go outside even for just a few minutes.

I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?

t fragrance-free and I could taste that one going down the back of my throat through the nasal passages connecting to the throat. That affected me negatively in other ways, too. I'm glad my doctor changed my prescription to Nasonex.

they found nothing but a little allergy reaction to something. the ear nose throat doctor was the one who put him on the nasonex, every thing else checked out with him too.i didnt think it was meningitis becouse my family doctor checked his glands and neck stiffness.i do know that he did have the fungas on his scalp but i wasnt sure about all the other problems if they could be related to that also.

I've had this nose sore for a year that is a little painful. Nasonex doesn't work. Went to a doctor today..I have a noise in my left ear sounds like listening to a sea shell and I hear echos listening to people talk or the tv.. he said ear was clean and gave me for two weeks Nasonex said if don't work come back..I don't have a cold nose isn't backup no sinus pain or head ache..is this normal to give allergy meds for ear problems ??

One said it was my tonsills the other thought the same at first because I was coughing up little white nodules, but the nodules have disappeared about a year ago. I have no sore throat just these bumps that are driving me nuts. They seem to flair up worse about an hour after I eat dinner. The ENT's have tryed NEXIUM, and a steroid to try to get rid of this,but nothing seem to work. They have checked my throat with a scope 4 times and one ENT just said he can rule out cancer.

I tested positive for covid 19 5 weeks ago and negative test about 3 weeks ago however I am still experiencing post covid symptoms of nasal congestion, runny nose ,sore throat and tiredness. I have been having foamy, white saliva along with thick, clear, stringy mucus that only comes up when I clear my throat, which I have to do all day, constantly. I still have some burping issues, not as chronic, though. I feel like air that comes up gets stuck in my throat and I have to stretch my neck to get it out.

But my question is should I go back to taking the nasonex? Was it a good thing that the nasonex made it louder because maybe it was just cleaning my ear out from the fluid, since it stopped ringing completely later that night which it hasnt done all week. But I dont know because it was a lot more irritating that night then ever! When I got out of the hot shower. I'm starting to think maybe the hot shower could be whats really irritating it more.

Recently I went to an eye, ear, nose specialist who prescribed Nasonex. Anyone have any success with it? I say that because I tried it now for two days with no effect. Do I need to try it longer? Anyone?

I was on nasonex spray prn or I take 1 puff each nose at times for few years= 4 years. Now I noticed hair thinning and loss. I have stopped the nasonex now. Will my hair grow back as usual? I am so worried. Iam not taking any other medication. But on hair supplements- zinc, vitamin E and multivitamin. Started my hair massage!

For over a month I had been having some slight issues with my throat being irritated and my ears aching a bit. Sometimes when I would chew food I would get pain in my right ear and even my right eye would ache. Also, the right side of my throat feels a tad bit swollen. If you look at my throat it looks red and irritated. I had what I guess was a tonsil stone come out a few weeks ago.

on my second night there i began experiencing a stuffy nose which i have have till now. i also have been clearing my throat (which feels a little awkward, NOT SORE) quite often. ON TOP of all that, i was told by my wife that while i was sleeping on the first night, my body temp was high, but i wasn't sweating. can anybody help on what may be going on and how to deal with it?
