When I had my first child, I had an IN network OB, an IN network hospital but the anesthesiologist on duty was Out of network. No who, I ask you, when desperately needing that epidural asks the doctor that they send to provide it if they work with your insurance? ugh.
So, I got the bills and they were 2000 bucks. I went to the insurance company and they stood by the decision that I had to pay as it was out of network doctor.

He was not sure I had crps though bone scan suggested it, He was talking about possible synvisc injections in 6 weeks, last resort is an epidural. You see I suffer from narcolepsy/cataplexy and pain triggers off muscle tone loss of total body so even upon inserting the injection I would go limp hear everything but cant move., part of the cataplexy.
I too got the run around from my insurance company, they refused to pay for the Sovaldi, riba, interf, However, my physician, a hepatologist was really ticked off by that and he arranged with the PAN, Patient Access Network, a non-profit organization to support patients who are under insured and meet their eligibility criteria which thankfully I did. They paid for all my medication and as of this date 7/19/14 I am clear. I started in January 2014 and ended approx. early April 2014.

Anyone else going through a organization frenzy? I did laundry today and reorganized our entire closet and drawers!! I feel like I need to make room for baby things...I was going through baby stuff and I honestly don't remember buying SO much stuff!! I have no clue where its all going to go!!
My husband clearly thinks I'm mental...I freaked out wondering where all these baby clothes came from and he was like..that's all you!!

I am diagnosis with narcolepsy and have had symptoms for 5 years now. I have been taking 500 mg. of nuvigil for over 2 years. Plus, 60 mg of adderall a day. My symptoms have slowed down a little, but I have to take 2 naps a day and not drive anywhere. I have sleep studies twice a year and it seems to get worse each time. Its very aggravating to me! It seems like something would help. I see a team of specialists at Vanderbilt, but I need something else, but what? Anyone have any suggestions?

Although the pt has RLS and PLMS, the arousal associated with these do not likely explain EDS- given a short overall sleep and REM latency, consider narcolepsy clinically. I had 156 arousals, 110 spontaneous, the rest due to limb movement. I also spent most of my sleep time in sleep stages 1 and 2, whith REM episodes scattered randomly. I had no time in stage 3, and when I had REM sleep it was from wake to REM with no progression through the other cycles.
The combination of this study and my first MSLT nap study produced a perfect pattern for diagnosis of Narcolepsy.
Has there ever been a study to look at the coorelation between the 2 diseases. Would many CFS sufferers be classified narcoleptic if they took the appropriate test? Narcolepsy leads back to hippothalmus and lack of production of hypocretin/orexin(?). Seems like all things lead to hippothalmus. Thank you!
i was wondering if i should be tested for narcolepsy, or if diagnosed with narcolepsy would they prescribe me to something similar to adderrall? if this were the case, being tested would not matter much if they would give me the same medications anyways. I just dont want to be misdiagnosed and on the wrong medication for the rest of my life.

The local hospital and staff is in network. My husband got a fishhook sunk deep in the back of his leg getting out of the truck. I couldn't remove it, I drove him to the ER we were there all of 30 mins, no wait taken care of right away. He received a tenus shot, novicane shot, they pushed the hook thru, cut off the barb with DIKES regular old plyer type dikes you can buy in a hardware store and pull it out. put a bandaid on it and sent him on his way. $1100!
