Avatar f tn How long is a urine specimen shelf life once collected for a cocaine test?
Avatar n tn I understand that the half-life of naproxen in the body is 12-17 hours. My question involves something I haven't found in other forums. When does it become safe to consume alcohol after taking an NSAID such as naproxen? If I take 1 unit of naproxen at 7:00 PM on Thursday, can I drink at 7:00 PM on Friday even though, according to the half-life, there is still about one-third the amount of naproxen in my system?
Avatar m tn on day 10....today my doctor prescribed me Naproxen for my chronic back pain. I know I could search this, but would rather ask anyone with any experience with it's use. Good idea or not to use after 10 days clean. I dont even know if it's a "mild" narcotic or not, however I believe it's similar to Aleeve. Advice? thanks in advance.
Avatar n tn I have found that the synthetics only have a shelf of about 2-3 years, if that. But Armour has a shelf life of 17 years. Are the Raw thyroids sold on the internet a possibility for me also and are their shelf life as long? I take 120 mcg levothyroxine.
Avatar n tn If my patient was having trouble conceiving, I might tell her to stop using Naproxen. There is some theoretical data that non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications could inhibit rupture of the follicle that occurs during ovulation. All the effects are temporary though, so once someone has stopped using the medication, it should no longer affect fertility.
Avatar f tn I have come to the conclusion that it might be tied to the naproxen. I think that due to 5+ yrs of vicodin use that he might have compromised his liver & kidneys so that the naproxen is causing his kidneys to be effected. Has anyone else ever experienced any side effects like this from anything containing the naproxen?
Avatar f tn I am not diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis yet sice all the test results are negative, but the doctor thinks i might be catching the early stage of the one. My doctor prescribed Naproxen. I took it and it works for the meantime but does it actually prevent from arthritis to stop the development of the disease or the symptom, or it's just a temporary pain relief?
612551 tn?1450022175 Looking at my box of Heartguard for dogs I see it has an expiration date on the box and on each individual tablet.
Avatar m tn It effects my temple region, around and behind my eye, and into my upper jaw and makes my teeth ache. I find no relief from off the shelf pain relievers or from sitting in a dark room. One time it kept me awake 5 hours straight(12am-5am approx) before I actually fell asleep from exhaustion. The pain was extremely painful and hard to cope. I was wondering if this is a cluster headache and if so, is there any way to relieve the pain?
Avatar m tn Here's what happened. I met up with a couple (gay) that I know. We messed around (all three of us) for a bit, then one left to go to sleep, leaving just two of us. My friend used a dildo on me, one of which he uses on his boyfriend. He did wash it, though I am not sure how, I just know that water was used, unsure if soap was.
Avatar m tn t tell me not to take them. He tried putting my on Naproxen but told me to stop taking Naproxen after he looked at the blood test he gave me afterwards.
Avatar f tn I started getting muscle spasms and they were awful. My dr gave me naproxen and muscle relaxers. The naproxen did nothing but the muscle relaxers were my life saver. After a few months, it has simmered down and I am able to sleep again without pills. I had a ct scan and it told me that I have problems with 4 out of the 7 vertebrae and also a pinched nerve in my neck. My problem is this and I have talked to many people with neck pain and no one has experienced this.
Avatar n tn For a straight A student, athlete and someone who is learning to drive, these side effects are seriously altering her way of life. Do the cognitive side effects truly fade in a few weeks or tend to stay and worsen?
Avatar n tn One or the other. I find Naproxen the most helpful, as it works more quickly. Aleve is a brand name for OTC Naproxen. Tyelenol is in a different category. Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS) are the ones you want to treat inflammation. Aspirin is also in this class. Again, only use one form of these and not all of them.
219241 tn?1413537765 The blister packs are to optimize the freshness, as the shelf life has been purposely reduced by half. That is also why you are required to refrigerate the blister packs. Sunythetic T4 hormones in the US have not changed their shelf life, so the blister packs and refrigeration are not as much of an issue. And yes, If I could get those US manufactured pharmaceuticals cheaper by getting them from Mexico or Canada (who buy them from US companies at a reduced rate), I would be doing it.
Avatar f tn As far as I know the syringe itself will not expire, but the rubber stopper on the syringe plunger may have a shelf life. If you have a bunch of syringes that are due to expire, I would recommend speaking with the manufacturer, they may be able to give you some insight on why the syringe has an expiration date. I hope this helps.
671153 tn?1237222792 I was on Naproxen twice a day but unfortunately the reason was for pelvic pain...so I could only wish it would increase my sex drive. I had a hysterectomy last week so looking forward to when the healing is done so I can have my sex life back again. My thought for you is enjoy the intimacy and use other ways to gratify each other until you are comfortable that your intercourse will be safe. Find a way to enjoy it. God bless...
Avatar f tn Naproxen is just ibuprofen, which is Motrin and Aleve. I would think Celebrex would help a lot more than Naproxen. It can't hurt to ask for it. Naproxen didn't do anything for me, except hurt my stomach. The Celebrex helped a lot, right away.
Avatar f tn Yes, don't use the Sumitriptan or the Naproxen or any NSAIDs before surgery. If the Naproxen wasn't on the list, it should be, because it's an NSAID. With the Imitrex, it would be better to be safe than sorry. I'm not entirely sure, but it seems like it would be a safer bet to struggle through those migraines for the next couple of weeks. I do know for sure with the Naproxen, because it's an NSAID.
