Avatar m tn my sister (24) was diagnosed Multiple Sclerosis in 2010, responded to steroid. now she suffered sudden & complete loss of vision in her left eye. she has been put on SOLUMEDROL. please suggest any available treatment modalities world over ? chances of return of vision ??
Avatar m tn One of them said it is all due to ur anxiety ( Cause i do not have any bladder problems and dizziness, numbness tingling all is due to anxiety) but one said its Multiple Sclerosis+ anxiety. My MRI and EEG were clear. Currently i have high frequency of muscle tingling through out my body only when i am lying on bed plus i see double vision of any statement especially ( white in colour) on TV and laptop. Is it MS? Should I start taking Med for MS or just let it be and hope it will go away?
Avatar n tn The various causes of blurred and double vision are cataracts, macular degeneration, damage to muscles and nerves in the eye which can be caused by thyroid problems, multiple sclerosis, strokes, high blood pressure, and diabetes. Diabetes can also cause these symptoms by diabetic retinopathy. Consult an ophthalmologist for eyes evaluation.

Visual symptoms are common with migraines like blurring of vision or eye floaters. The other possibility is of multiple sclerosis since there are other neurological symptoms like weakness right arm and numbness on right side of face and head.

Avatar n tn It gives a clue whether the nerve pathways are abnormal like in multiple sclerosis, the myelin sheath is affected and so it takes longer for electrical signals to be conducted to the eyes, resulting in an abnormal VEP. So, multiple sclerosis needs to be reconsidered. Also migraines need to be ruled out for you. Consult your neurologist for a review of your symptoms. Take care.

If I cover my right eye, my vision in my left eye is so poor I can't even make out the words on this screen. My head feels like it's filled with cotton, this one is not easy for me to explain but I get these sensations that come and go, sort of like a headache but not painful, it's very dull and it feels like when you first wake up in the morning. And lastly, and most bothersome is my legs.
Avatar f tn You neurologist has prescribed you myogrel or aspirin and clopidogrel, for thinning of blood may be sue to suspected small vessel ischemic disease, naxdom or naproxen for pain, or inflammation, betavert or betahistine for vertigo and betacaps or betamethasone which is a corticosteroid. I would also suggest you to undergo investigation for multiple sclerosis.
