Taking 30 mg. of morphine IR 3 rid and dilaudid 4 mg twice a day, fentanyl patches 100 and 50 mcg/. You don't think I will go into withdrawals with this? I have been waking up with a sweaty head, feeling. A little sick to my stomach. Not sure if that is withdrawals or what?

Morphine mg to mg, (administered orally) has about 1/2 the analgesic effectiveness of oxycodone. So 30mg of morphine would be euqal to around 15mg of oxy. Did you tell the doc that the oxy 5mg. wasnt taking care of the pain? Other than that,I cant imagine why he would "up your meds" just out of the blue.

I am an Engineer that has worked in the industry for over 12 years. The last 6 years I have been on pain medications. First Tramadol and then vicodin, and now morphine and percocet. I continue to do a great job and produce fantastic products. My managers know about my chronic pain and are very accepting of the pain medications I take as they don't affect my job performance and they know that I am responsible with my meds.

if a patient is presecribed 15 mg but is given 30 mg of morphine sulfate IR tablets, would this cause an earlier death in a liver cancer patient? My aunt was given 8 - 10 months and the pharmacy gave the wrong dosage, she died in 5 days. Should I question this?

About 1 month ago my pain management doctor increased my dosage of morphine sulfate from 10 gm to 30 mg (1 every 12 hours). Shortly after I began taking the 30mg morphine sulfate, I started to develop a slight rash. Over the last week, the rash has become much worse and a real problem. I've been taking over the counter benadryl tabs to get some relief from the rash which is helping a little to relief the itching and rash.

they increased the oxy to 10 mg every 4 hrs and the Morphine 3 times a day 30 mg a day. with little effect. I increased the second time I took these meds to 30 mg 3times day and the oxy15 mg 4 times with only some relief bring the pain level 4/5, but only last for 2 to 2 1/2 hrs. What would be the next meds to change to. I believe my tolerance level on this medication has reduced the effectiveness.

they said the lethal dose is 100-300 mg of morphine sulfate, what i took in was 600 mg. however, on the bottle is clearly states 30mL and 20 mg per mL. i drank it all. then they said i must have vomitted it all out before it took effect. this isn't true. it was hrs before i even felt sick, more than enough time for the morphine to get into my blood stream. either way, i am happy to be alive. i am not , as i already said, a drug user. i took it because i was in pain, it was convienent.

i am thinking of quitting oxy an i am doing about 10 to 20 mg of oxy green a day or if yellow 20 mg i am thinking about doing a quarter of a red rocket a day just wonder ing if that would work has anyone tried my preferred drug is oxy

my doctor retired and no pain clinics will do that much methadone.....the new pain clinic wants me to take (30 mg of long acting morphine) with (10 mg of methadone) every 8 hrs.....(30 mg methadone total per day)...(90 mg morphine total per day)....the problem is getting down to 30 mg of methadone...been on at least 100 mg of methadone for 25 years ...the morphine does nothing for or does not cover the methadone withdrawals.....my new docs wanted me to get down to 30 mg methadone in 6 weeks....

I have this 10 mg methadone pills,the morphine 100 mg extended release(Its a capsule,so I can open it and measure approximately,and morphine 30 mg immediate release. I really hate the sweating of the abstinence,is there something that helps it?what other drug(benzos or else)can help me to stop? I have time, and I'm not running out of the meds,but really want to quit...help!!!

s response. I am on 30 mg of morphine sulfate ER twice a day with up to 35 mg of percocet a day for breakthrough pain (about to switch to Opana ER tomorrow...maybe). I have taken the max of 35 mg of percocet in one day before along with 60 mg of morphine sulfate ER.

Is it possible to come off of the morphine patch, 50 mg every 3 days I think, gradually. The person I am trying to help is about 75 years old and has been on these patches about 3 years. We got her to go down from 75 mg about 6 months ago. We want to take her to 35 mg and decrease by 12.5 mg. How often and how much should we decrease by. What do we expect to happen, and please give any advice or help. She desperately needs to get off.

10mg of Percocet is equivalent to 15 mg of morphine. If you are taking 40mg a day, 60mg of morphine would be the equivalent. It is safe for doctors to go up on morphine if needed because there is no acetaminophen in it. Safer to use for tolerance issues.

I am on morphine 100 mg at night then one in the am. I also take morphine 15 mg four times a day. I am shaking and my abdomen is killing me right now. My blood pressure is very high right now should I go to the hospital?

I have been taking 60 mg. extended release morphine twice daily for 3.5 months. I have had issues for 30 years with anxiety and depression but it flared up almost immediately after I began the morphine. Normally the anxiety resolves itself within a few weeks but this time it has persisted and continues on. Could it be caused by the morphine? 2-4 mg, but up to 10 mg if the patient has a tolerence, given intravenously post op is the normal dose every 2- 4 hours...that is a bit excessive and I would think that 15 mg hourly for 8 days would kill most people...I would consider myself lucky to be alive!

I was switched over to morphine ER 30 mg. in the morning and 30 mg. at night. I already dropped to 15 mg. at night. I'm also supposed to take 15 mg. IR every 4 hours but I'm stretching that to 5 or 6 hours. I'm wondering since I haven't been on the morphine very long (2 weeks tops) what would happen if I just stopped taking them? Would I end up with withdrawals? I figure I'm past the point of withdrawal for the Fentanyl and oxycodone.

today i saw a pain mngmt dr, he took me off hydrocodone 7.7/500mg, and tramadol 50mg, i was allowed 4 vicodins a day and up to 8 tramadol. i have an appt to see him next thursday to, He put me on morphine sulfate IR 1m mg, 1 tab 2x's a day and morphine sulfate 30 mg CR 1 tab 2x's a day, I hope i get better and longer relief. My question will these new meds help any thoughts?

High dose before hip surgery due to chronic pain from loose stem and need for revision. Dr. wanted me to drop 30 mg morphine every 2 weeks which was too fast so I thought going to subutex would help get me off high dose. 2 weeks ago I detoxed and have not stabilized. I am currently prescribed morphine sulfate 30 mg and morphine 100 mg. I recently took a drug test where Oxymorephone showed up in my urine test. Does either of these pills contain the components of oxymorphone or opana? Any help will be appreciated!
