I was one opiates for a very long time for illness and got hooked . Tihe only way for my was to get into the hospital and go through what is call detox . It took five days and I came out clean . He needs to want to do this for himself . Dont let the Drugs He is one hurt you. You might want to ask him if he would like you to go into the emergency room with him and get help. Even if you dont have insurance they have to help you. Tell the truth and get help . I will pray for you now!

I have been on methadone since then and just had another boy that was born jan 29 2014, i was on 75ml and his score was all the way to 15 before they decieded to put him on morphine. I am so worried and concerned about him coming off it, i kno its only micrograms but still dont want him having any wuthdrawls at all.

I was recently perscribed morphine for my fibromyalgia and spurs on my spine. My question is does the morphine make you really nauseated and throw up. The last few days the side effects have slowed down, but I would still like to hear some suggestions from people in the forum.

Have you tried anything else for pain relief with any good results. And yes this morphine along with the other medications could be building up in your system to some degree. I don't know how long you have been on Cymblata but it can take up to three weeks before a therapeutic level is reached in your blood stream.

s care but my dog is having bladder stones and he is very much unconfortable all night I have to take him downstairs to pee and all the vet has told me is to wait for the results of urine test to beggin treatment meanwhile he gave him Rimadyl for the Hip pain and also some Phenobarbitol for anxiety, but he still cries all the time, I am desperate !

Hi, I've been on pain meds for 15 years. I really have pain issue's, but realize they've become worse. because of medication addiction. (bodies use to always being on meds ) I really don't know what my real pain level is anymore. I know it's there, feel my RA and many other nerve issue's. I can't take it anymore i live in Florida, so all i do is worry i won't get my meds. because the drug stores don't have them lots of problems here .

I know oxycontin is pregnancy category B and Morphine is pregnancy category C but I was curious if it is more likely for neonatal withdrawals form morphine or oxycontin? I think oxycontin has a higher molecular weight and therefore harder time crossing the mom baby barrier. Heard two moms taking 40 mg three times a day had no withdrawals, but didnt know it would be the same for the morphine or not. I am taking 15 mg twice a day of oxcycontin and 40 mg of oxycodone.

My doctor has me on Fiorinal C1/2 for migraines, and put me on Morphine for severe migraines and severe pain. I have often had to go to the hospital for the migraines, and they give me a shot of what I thought was Morphine in the butt, and after about 1/2 hr it was gone. This last experience, the Morphine did not work, and I ended up taking a bunch of Fiorinal instead. When I spoke to my local hospital, they said they dont give Morphine for migraines but Demerol?

Today I decided to wean off of morphine and try Ultram for a few weeks. My PM is willing to work with me, so that is a very good thing. She said hydrocodone isn't good because of the Tylenol, like you said, and I am sure she would be willing to help me try low-dose oxycontin or something else if this doesn't work. Thanks for the suggestion. It is probably wishful thinking that I will find the pain level has subsided by now.

Also since I will only be on the morphine for 6-10 days the morphine would not cause withdrawals when I stopped if I were to go this route would it? Normally I know I'm strong enough to handle it, but after surgery I don't even want to try. But if it's a good way to transition and then stop altogether once the surgery is over and have no narcotics at all, that would be my goal.

He said I tested positive for morphine and negative for xanax. I take 1-2 ,25mg xanax a day-prescribed by him for anxiety. He referred me to pain management and that Dr prescribed me 15 mg Amrix and 50 mg Nucynta ER a day. He said the morphine is not from the Nucynta and that I must not be taking the Xanax or Nucynta that neither one of them showed up. I am not taking Morphine of any kind. I took a Xanax and a Nucynta 3 hours before this appointment.

he is a handful and I thank goodness that Dad works from home!!! 4 weeks down and 2 to go. Looks like a go for the morphine pump and trials may begin in 2 weeks!!!! People that have been on opiates for a long time can ingest a dose that would kill someone who has never used the drug. Then if they stop for a while, their tolerance goes down. Morphine is a terrible trip, with nausea and discomfort and constipation. Not something to desire for recreation.

I am going to go cold turkey on tuesday from 100mg morphine, been on them about 6 to 8 weeks. feeling sick when I dont take them and not able to take off time for detox and types for detox?

Morphine must be okay for the liver because that's what they used when I was in the ICU following my liver transplant. Be VERY careful with morphine. I was on it for 7 days and went wacky with hallucinations of all kinds.

With my 1st born I got an epidural and I was looking into different pain relief options for this pregnancy. Any of you got morphine instead of an epidural and how was your experience?

I pretty much thought it had something to do with the morphine. Any advice? He needs it for his back. My view is morphine is probably better than any other of the narcotic analgesics because it is the most natural and has been around for centuries. I certainly would not want him on oxycontin or fentanyl. Is Opana ER any better? Need advice from doctor preferably or someone who has an idea what they are talking about regarding this matter.

Hi yes it is normal behavior for Morphine, when you first start it your on top of the world then comes irritation and depression and even nightmares for some. How much is he on? How long? and dose he want to quit?

ve heard and read that its perhaps a step up from morphine sulfate. but not sure. all i can say is that the morphine works well for me. I also took effexor 150mgs twice daily and it wasn't cutting my depression at all, so my pain management moved me to zoloft 200mgs daily (100mgs twice daily) and this is working for me. But i would definetly speak to your pain management doc. The morphine makes you sleepy also, so be careful at first if u chose that path. Best of luck!

As i understand it the morphine is the less destructive on the liver than the other drugs for pain.Anyway it has helped me a great deal.Just a suggestion.

The morphine is actually much less problematic than the oxycodone. You should be comfortable taking the morphine and not the oxy.................

m sorry if I sound harsh but I honestly want better for your friend and her unborn children. She deserves better; so do they. No it's not likely that his pills are the deciding factor in their inability to conceive a child, and a little bit of fertility testing on both of them (which they are eligible for if they have been trying for years) will answer that question once and for all. Best of luck...I hope he gets it together soon.
