morphine side effects children

I do know that all to often things like this are not listed as side effects. The problem is that the doctors and or patients do not report them and so they too often get looked over as is the case here. I am sure there are many documented cases they just are not reported. I am not sure what the protocol is far as doctors reporting side effects but we as Pt's can call the pharmaceutical company and report effects. this will help many.

My question is does the morphine make you really nauseated and throw up. The last few days the side effects have slowed down, but I would still like to hear some suggestions from people in the forum.

Hello, Fatigue and dry mouth and dyspepsia are frequent side effects of Vesicare but it is unlikely to cause any sore throat. Your sore throat can be due to some viral infection. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day and use over-the-counter throat lozenges. Salt water gargle is also a good way to relieve a sore throat. In addition, you can take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen and paracetamol (acetaminophen) after consulting your general physician.

Lyrica is wonderful once you get passed the side effects,,usually takes a week,,,,,Also lyrica is a schedule 5 drug,,with Morphine componants

Chills, body aches, fever or flu like symptoms are all normal side effects of interferon. High doses of vicodin means you're getting a high dose of acetaminophen which can be very liver unfriendly. Those with hepc should not exceed 2000 mg of acetaminophen daily. If you must use pain management drugs for an existing condition perhaps you should talk to your doctor about prescribing something without acetaminophen such as a low dose oxycodone or Tramadol.

OK, here's the "strange one" of the group. I have taken Vicodin for 4 years. It only makes me "grumpy" at the end of a day when I have over done my limitations and I am hurting and absolutely nothing works to ease my pain. My family knows when it's one of those evenings and they are kind enough to leave me alone and let me be a "B" all by myself. I don't even want to be around anyone. But those days are not often.

i am sorry that any of us who is suffering from this drugs effects i hope there is something that can be done an reverse what this has done to us...if anyone has had simaler side effects as me plz let me know i am a nervous wreck.... I am sorry to hear about your previous reaction to Morphine. Are you experiencing any reaction or similar side effects with the long acting Morphine (Kadian)? As Dmoonchild said Kadian IS Morphine. There are several brand names for MS (Morphine Sulfate)..... but in the end they are all basically the same or similar chemical structure.

I have degenerative joint disease/disk disease and the pain pump was an option along with the spinal cord stimulator but these were/are a last resort for me as I have been on many drugs to control the pain. Morphine has many side effects and maybe your doctor is seeing some side effects which could be 'an answer' that is not being mentioned here. I know the opioid's did not work for my pain. Nerve blocks helped but remember the nerve does grown back over time.

SUBOXONE--- HAS anyone that has been on Suboxone ever had the side effect of uncontrollable ITCHING? Scratch till your raw? Or any other side effects that make life more difficult? I was on Suboxone for two years, off for 3 months with opiates, and now on again for a month. The long term effects of Morphine sulfate on the overall health of the human body. Including heart health, gastro-intestinally, and other organs. I know someone who has been taking it for at least at least 10+years. I am getting worried about this person. A few years ago he had a very bad stomach problem, and they could never figure it out. I am curious, those of you who have had surgery for CM1 what are some of the side effects you are or have dealt with? My Neurologist was telling me about one patient who after surgery anytime she hits a bump in the road she becomes disoriented. So I am just trying to find out what other side effects there are. m not sure if Zofran is used in children but you could ask. Tetrabenzene is used but that has some serious side effects so that might not be for children either. But there are other medications as well. Clonidine in patch form (Catapres) is especially helpful for tic like motions (tardive tourreticism which is a variant of tardive dyskinesia I have as well). I am on Tenex which is helpful as well. I believe both of those are used in children.

At the begining I had a few aches, pain, feeling hot and cold stuff like that it wasnt to bad but now i am in my 2 month of treatments and some of the side effects are getting worse. My doctor said the side effects will go away the longer i am on the meds. My treatment is for 11 months. Anyone else have this problem too?

I was had been using morphine and detoxed last month relapsed not on morphine but the like as the drs prescribe me morphine and I find the wds to be the same. The effects to me are a bit different between morphine and percodan, vicadin and tyhe like but like already said they are similiar. Throwing up, pains in joints and bones shaky shaky hands RLS depression shall I go. Heck it is bad just like any of the drugs mentioned.

I was so irritable all the time. All I could do was stay in bed. I realized these were all side effects of this patch. The side effects of the patch so adversely effected my life I decided to take it off one night. I went through a detox like you'd never imagine. I had hallucinations, vomitting etc. I had no idea what I had done. I put the patch back on, and weened myself off of it over the next two weeks. I just couldn't live that way.
