Thursday night i had a much more severe attack and ended up at the ER again. They gave me morphine and sent me home with morphine orally. So here i am writing to see if im the only one in the situation. I have tried managing my food but i have always loved food and finding it very hard. I haven't eaten fried food at all. but i still get attacks. Im soooo depressed over this. My poor DH has to lose sleep along with me in the ER.

At this point in time whenever a migraine comes on I have to go to the Emergency Room, and I am well known there, I get a shot of Zofran for nausea and a shot of either Demerol or Morphine, but it happens so often that I am unclear on the aftereffects and I am breastfeeding so what harm is it doing to my new baby?? I guess I just don't know what to do anymore!!

t remeber things like talking to me on the phone and then he got worse and started becoming mean and cruel. I broke up with him. I tried to be understanding and friendly because I felt sorry for him but he got worse and then started imagining I was changing his facebook password. He became a totally different person. He also told me they were giving him morphine. Is this normal with Gabapentin? I'm really sad about it.

I have abdominal migrains( yep abdominal). It causes me great pain and nausea . Morphine and zofran wouldn't touch it. When they gave me dilaudid and zofran it broke the cycle and I could get better control of it. The vomiting stopped. My bp was fine. Is this common?

Zofran, Ativan, Phenergan, Vistaril, Kytril, etc... Zofran being the best and most expensive Second being kytril and ativan. Kytril is expensive so if you don't have health insurance Ativan (Lorazepam) is a better option. Bottom line give the medicine some time 2-3 months at the most or switch to Dilaudid, there's also Fentanyl patches...

I am off all med except zofran oxycontin and a little vicodin. The pregnany has been going well. I have a significant amount of pain daily, quite a bit of nausea, and my energy is non existant, but the baby is healthy and developing just fine. I have had a little more frequent, and earlier sqreening (especially for gestational diabetes) than the average pregnant woman, but all that matters is that the baby is healthy and we are both safe.

By evening, 2 mg Morphine is given in addition to Zofran, Morphine every 3 hours/Zofran every 6 hours. C Diff and H Pylori results come in - both are negative. 11/16/08: Upper GI w/Contrast results - all results within the normal parameters. 11/17/08: Sonogram of Gallbladder, Liver and Pancreas and Rt Kidney are all Normal Bailie was a bit yellow in the face, but the Bilirubin was normal, they also did a CRP and a CBC, which were both high, but not exponentially so.

All they can do is zofran and a saline drip. I just have to suffer. I hate migraines.

If that does not work, then you probably need a prescription for Zofran which blocks the nausea and vomiting (which is caused by the drugs). Many of us used Zofran. It works very well for most of us. I took 8 mg every 8 hours for a few months. Don't let this go. It will snowball. If the phenergan does not work, then ask for Zofran. Zofran does not make you sleepy. Phenergan does. Phenergan is cheaper, but Zofran works better (in my opinion). It is used to treat the nausea from Chemo.

They will also give me clonidine for panic attacks, phenobarbital for anti seizures, IV fluids and zofran for nausea and I will be hooked up at all times to a heart monitor. Oh yeah and I also have multiple sclerosis. Have any of you got off your meds this way.? I'm supposed to be in the hospital about a week and then ill be on AutoZone if it works for pain. Otherwise ill have to try a morphine pain pump.

In the past few years, I have begun having a histamine reaction to Morphine and Dilaudid, which knocks out Demerol by association. When I received it by IV in the hospital, I broke out in a rash on my chest, felt like I couldn't breathe - like a weight was on my chest (even though my pulse ox was 100%), couldn't entirely move my arms and legs, and couldn't talk. So, there go the narcotics. Ummm, in two days they are gonna cut my head open, HELP?!

was given Bendryal, Zofran, magesium and torodol (iv push): No help again, not worse. Also gave him 50mg of Seroquel to sleep. *On THursday (day 5) iv meds again: Zofran, Depacon, steriods, Torodol (iv push): No help, not sorse but not all any better. All of these drugs were iv fusion. Also gave hime 50mg of Seroquel to sleep. *Friday (Day 6) Called neurologist, went in ER was given: Torodol & rofran: Nothing no help.

There is different doses of morphine. Who is to say how high of a dose he had took in your body. My dad had morphine and it caused delirium.

I ended up having a friend take me to the ER about a week ago because I was feeling so awful I could not calm down. At the hospital they gave me morphine, pepcid, and zofran via IV. I had not been able to sleep or eat at all. Upon leaving the ER, I received two prescriptions; one for zofran and one for pepcid.

All it did was put me to sleep, then when I woke up I just felt drunk and groggy and was still sick as a dog. I loved zofran though, I wouldn't have been able to eat at all or even drink if I hadn't of had it.

This is just a informational post for any mommies who may be taking Zofran and also for mommies who took Zofran and gave birth to a baby with any defects.

I was wondering if there is a way I can lower my methadone dose quickly over a week from 80 to 10-15. I have methadone at home... just went to the doc and got suboxone... but took it 55 hours later and went to the e.r. the withdrawals were sooo severe... like nothing I had ever had !!!!!!!! Want to be on sub. desperately.. .but not sure what to do .. e.r. gave me clonindin and vistiril(for sleep) and shot me up with Ativan at the hospital because I was soo frantic... also a shot of mg.

I have been taking Zofran and Reglan since week 7 and am now 23 weeks... The risk associated with dehydration and malnutrition due to HG is far greater than the potential side effects of Zofran and Reglan. My little guy is perfectly healthy up to this point. To each their own though.

yes some bad days but with this forum and the drrugs recommended by it help. Doc had no prob with zofran and highly encouraged this support forum. Cean, I took 4 mg last night before inc and it helped. I did have a constipation problem this morning that did no good for my golf swing and am curious if the zofran has anything to do with this. Will see doc about AD and mention conflicts with PI. I am not a pill guy on a regular basis but have drawer full of them.

Also the person who commented on the increase of cleft palates after being treated with zofran, studies have showed an increase in cleft palates in women who have taken zofran AND women who took none but had HG. This shows more that the chances of cleft palate is due to a diet deficiency rather than the drug.

How many of you ladies are still taking zofran? My morning sickness is terrible. I'm 15 weeks and I throw up at least 5 times a day unless I take zofran and I've tried everything else and nothing works. But I know my doctor like personally and she assured me that it was safe and if it were her she would take it. I've lost about 30 pounds and only gained back 7 so she's worried about my weight. And I've lost it because of nausea. So how many Andre still taking it?

Yea i took it with my daughter and shes amazing and healthy it really did help alot too.
