Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
Avatar m tn II had been diagnosed with an thoracic acranoid cyst over a year ago. It was only 2cm in size. The neurosurgeon recommended I have nothing done. This past February I went to another neurosurgeon and had another MRI which showed it had grown to over 4 inches in length. He recommended I have surgery. I put it off until June 9th.
Avatar f tn I have uncontrolled type II Diabetis. How many carbs should I keep it you for each meal and how many for a snack?
Avatar n tn I know this sounds strange but where do you begin. I was diagnosis with type II diabetes fall of 2007 after I was admitted in the hopsital for chest pain. I was also put on lopresser 25mg PO BID and norvasc 5mg PO QID. The hospital didn't realize my sugar was up in the hopsital but my family doctor seen my lab results from when I was in the hospital. She started me on metformin 500mg PO BID due to my A1C being 7. I didn't like how it made me feel but continued to take it.
183933 tn?1290216962 m very exctied, however, she was diagnosed with type II D when she was only 5-6 weeks pregnant. Her OB took her A1C levels and it was 5.8. However, in the weeks since, I know her levels have been generally ranging inbetween 117-150 after meals. After reading on the web I saw that in the first trimester if levels are not under control there could be major physical/mental problems with the baby(ies). My OB confirmed the same thing, but he said if levels are in tight control it should be fine.
Avatar f tn Is it true that every time you get sick...maybe catch a cold...your numbers are going to be way off? I ask because I'm trying to catch up to what my Mom is experiencing with type II. Last week it was low in the morning and then bizarro at night (my other sister did nothing). I actually came on her to see if I could google the answer and then just signed up.
Avatar n tn At 126 mg/dl and above preprandial (fasting glucose) you would be considered Diabetic Type II. Since you didn't provide us with your preprandial level or an A1c (HbA1c, HGBA1c) results its hard to say where you stand. My blood sugar was still high 2 hours after eating.." This is normal. Glucose (blood sugar) peaks 2-4 hours after a meal. However, "going over 200 mg/dl quite often" is not normal. You should aim for <180 mg/dl after meals. Better nutrition is the goal.
Avatar n tn My doctor just told me that I am slightly hypertensive and borderline type II diabetic. She put me on the diet plan for daibetics and I like it. I've been losing weight and getting energy highs then I get the "munchies" for popcorn and BBQ chips. I can't drink fruit juices or anything else except diet soda, water, and diet teas or sugar free Kool Aid. But if I drink the sugar free stuff I get so "gassy" and diarrhea. This part ***** big time.
Avatar f tn I recently went to Columbia Medical Center for a battery of tests. I went there b/c I have suffered for years with Lyme Disease. They found type II cyroglobulins in my blood which don't seem to be related to Lyme. Does the mere existance of type II cryoglobulins in my blood mean that I have cryoglobulinemia?
Avatar n tn My Doctor told me (Type II) that I needed to get my A1C under 7.0. I am currently at 6.5 and with my weight loss, he is slowly cutting me back from medications.
Avatar m tn I am Type II Diabetic myself and have been under tight-control and with great lab values for over 5 years... and I consider myself well-versed and well-educated about Type II issues, and frequently have folks recently diagnosed coming to me for advice (and I all but always send them to docs, nutritionists, and diabetes educators) but I recently had a question that I have no idea how to answer nor refer...
1985196 tn?1402190098 s on the topic , because a friend of mine from my rehab group seems to think bi polar 1 patients seem to have more stability than those who have type 2 bi polar disorder ,from what she said to me her son has type 1 and she has type 2 , but she also explained to me bi polar 1 has more severe manic episodes and longer in duration which i kinda already knew .
1284111 tn?1271592140 s usually caused by either a type II or type III acromion bone, which is essentially a bone spur, which leaves little space for your tendons and ligaments to pass through that region and then having tendinitis on top of that. If the tendinitis is not treated or doesn't calm down on it's own, a tear can happen or damage to your rotator cuff can occur. I had it and underwent a shoulder surgery. I would ask your doctor to get you on a stronger NSAID than Naproxen.
3122657 tn?1357432602 But if you have real joint pain you may need to ask your Dr. about anti inflammatory drugs. One is called mobic generic for (???). Dr. Mayo (yes the real mayo!!!) had me on it. I quit taking it because its not good for the heart. My hearts in good shape & I want to keep it like that!!!! But that would definitely be for a Dr. to decide. And yourself of course. I will say---they do work!!! Let me know if it lifts on its own or what???
Avatar m tn That is correct. I am a Type II diabetic. I will always be a Type II diabetic. But I control it entirely by diet only. I've been eating Paleo for 5 years now. My semi-annually A1C's average around 5.8. The idea is to avoid anything containing carbohydrates. Now, that's pretty hard to do, but with a little effort, you can minimize them. My diet is rich in eggs, cheese, meats, and nuts, Pounds and pounds of nuts; peanuts, walnuts, pecans, and almonds.
Avatar n tn The Thoracic MRI stated mild disc bulges at T11-12 with disc desiccation and Type II degenerative change. I really don't understand what this really means other than I have a great deal of discomfort - I was sent to PT for a short while and it really didn't help then I went to a chiropractor for quite a while....I have had some releif and have dealt with the pain since it was good for a while then would act up.
Avatar n tn that diabetes may go from type II to type I meaning that in time even though at first your pancreas was producing insuline this "production " stops at one time. Is this true ?
