Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
Avatar n tn I have been getting these pulsing or throbbing feeling mostly every where on my body for about 1 month now. I have not been checked for it yet but, it somewhat worries me. I get pain in my joint at times and had a sedrate drawn on me. my sedrate came back only a little elevated. My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain.
Avatar f tn My doctor wanted me to take the methacholine chalIenge becasue I do, occasionally, have breathing difficulties. I have type 1 diabetes and sometime wonder if I get confused with my body trying to release the acidity build up in my blood (DKS symptoms) or if I am really having a hard time breathing. I took the methochline challenge test yesterday and my readings were wonderful (well over 100% before and after).
3122657 tn?1357432602 But if you have real joint pain you may need to ask your Dr. about anti inflammatory drugs. One is called mobic generic for (???). Dr. Mayo (yes the real mayo!!!) had me on it. I quit taking it because its not good for the heart. My hearts in good shape & I want to keep it like that!!!! But that would definitely be for a Dr. to decide. And yourself of course. I will say---they do work!!! Let me know if it lifts on its own or what???
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
5082295 tn?1371250911 I just started Mobic (meloxicam) a few days ago and they say I should work fast. Im taking one 7.5 tab a day for Piriformis syndrome which is a disorder that occurs when the sciatic nerve is compressed or otherwise irritated by the piriformis muscle. I really don't see any difference in my pain level at all, I had more help w ibphrofen, should I take that right now too? could I increase the dose till I talk to my doc on Monday or should I give it more time to work?
176838 tn?1211460374 I am a 31 year old female and I recently saw a fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue specialist for a myriad of complaints including fatigue, headaches, joint & muscle pain. He thinks I might have sleep apnea which would account for some of my symptoms but not all. I have some of the pressure points for fibromyalgia but not a full 11.
Avatar n tn Hi Dalki, Yes, in time your doctor will likely know for sure which type of diabetes you have. In addition to Type 1 and Type 2, there seems to be a type 1.5 ... tho' there's some thought that 1.5s are just in the early stages of Type 1. We DMers (folks with diabetes mellitis) and our docs often call that a honeymoon phase. I hope you're feeling better now that your bloodsugar has begun to come down. Things may remain volatile for a while, so try to be patient with yourself.
307500 tn?1302116146 Says because I have Clusters of AutoImmune Diseases I most likly have type 1 diabetes. This week He has run lost of test, blood, and heart tests and blood flow. I have been put on every poral pill and it hasn't dropped my BS. MY lst A1C was 7.0, I have been on a very low carb diet for yrs, I think if I weren't my BS would be alot higher all the time. My ? is could I be type 1 because of all the Auto disease and the age of 16 diagnoses?
Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with genital herpes type 1 but i'm confused as to what this means. There isn't a very clear idea given on any of the health sites i'm tried and I was too distraught to ask the nurses at the clinic i first went to. How does type one differ from type two? Does this mean i'm more or less likely to pass it on? Will i be having more outbreaks?
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
Avatar f tn Anyway, today is day 18 of my taper plan coming off of ALL opiates that i have been abusing on and off for 15 years. I am down to 1 perc a day and seeing the light. I cannot wait to be DONE and im almost there. The mental cravings are really not that bad i would say i only get them a little bit every few days and physically i am tired and i do not sleep at all, when i was using i could sleep until 10am now i am up the latest 7:00am, i hope i can get some sleep.
Avatar n tn ve been to my PCP numerous times and haves seen a GI specialist, and nothing. The pain comes and goes. An episode will usually last about 1 - 3 hours. The pain comes in waves sort of like menstrual cramps. It seems to come on if I have been particularly active, standing for long periods of time, go a long time on an empty stomach, or eat a heavy meal. My bowel habits have not changed nor does a bowel movement have any affect on the cramps.
Avatar f tn i am using Mobic on and off for pain. But due to swelling i am not able to make a fist. i have pain on the edges of the palm.
Avatar m tn ve been prescribed Meloxicam/Mobic for the pain and inflamation. The data sheet that came with the prescription details some pretty nasty potential side effects. I normally don't have too much trouble with meds but this stuff is potent. What have been your experiences with this med? I'm also on Paxil, 10mgs per day, and Methlyne, 15mgs per day, for the depression and anxiety problems. Thx in advance for all your replys. Thom.
Avatar f tn My breakfast is a Herbalife Formula 1 protein shake with 1 cup coconut milk and 1 cup ice. I add 1/2 tblsp of chia seeds to this when I'm having a good GI day. I normally don't eat anything else until dinner, and that's usually a turkey sandwich on white or wheat (depending on where I go.) and a few tater tots. I drink about 40 to 120 oz a day. It varies from day to day.
Avatar f tn I have taken two days worth of meloxecam or mobic. The swelling is down some but it is still tender to the touch. Could this be the beginning of rejection?
463897 tn?1468013750 Luckily (?) for me my disease was more the slow, grinding, chronic type than the more aggressive type. I had my first joint replacement, the left hip in 1997 at age 37, and since then it's been a steady parade of surgical tweaks. Currently I'm fairly stable (my husband may debate the "stable" part - I'm in menopause!); my two main RA drugs are methotrexate and Enbrel, both by sub-q injection. Also Mobic (meloxicam), an NSAID.
Avatar n tn They do help, but are expensive. There was another patch with an anti-inflammatory in it, but I am taking mobic orally, which helps me more.
