mobic

Avatar n tn I am glad because the loratab really is addictive and I would rather not have my body relying on anything. I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.
Avatar m tn And if my back gets bad and really tight which it does fairly often right now cause I had spinal surgery 5 months ago two bone fusions and two screws but neway back to what u was sayin when it gets tight I also take baclofen which is a muscle relaxent and between those two I have no problems and I prefer baclofen over flexeril cause flexiril knocks me out and also skelaxin is also another good muscle relaxer to that my doc said tell ppl bout causeost docs will give u handful of samples of and i
Avatar f tn i would stick with suggested amounts of motrin or tylenol and take a lot of baths. my doc always let me use epsom salt, but i don't want to suggest it. you could google it. your first trimester is the MOST important. it is when the brain is being formed, all major organs being formed, etc. you really want to be extra careful during this time.
1542812 tn?1293382373 I meant to post here when I reached the 90 day mark but things at work were too busy for me to be able to do so. I think I am past the point of having phantom pains - at least I hope I am. But, the underlying injuries that I have are really starting to get to me. Sometimes the pain in my knees and ankles are so much that I feel like I lurch around instead of walking around. I saw my pain management doctor today and he prescribed Mobic for me - 7.5 mg.
199177 tn?1490498534 I was telling a friend of mine how ironic its is I take naproxen so I can deal with the pain without the damage of narcotics now I am in more pain because of the drugs that help me stay off the nartocs.
518798 tn?1295212279 I have never been prescribed either, but after reading this forum, I opted NOT to get the tramadol filled. I did get the mobic filled because I only take it once daily so I figured it would be okay. Any advice on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn I take lisinopril myself for HBP and have done so for decades. I've never used naproxen except maybe once or twice. One Rx that might possibly be of benefit for arthritis instead of naproxen is meloxicam, also known as Mobic. I use it occasionally with no ill effects to report.
Avatar m tn I had been told the incision would be only about 6 inches but when he got in there the cyst had grown to 7 inches so the incision was 12 inches and had a bone growing in it pressing on my spinal cord. My surgery was 3 weeks ago and I still have all the symptoms I had before. My question is, can I expect any relief as time goes on?
Avatar m tn i thought it was a ear infection at first because my ear hurt so bad,my head, neck and shoulder hurt also... i couldnt sleep....i went to my doc and he prescribed.."mobic" for pain and inflammation..and "flexirel" to relaxe the muscles...and a mouthguard (i grind my teeth)to sleep with..anduonly take the meds when u need them.i know it sounds kinda crazy but u should ask your doc to check you........
Avatar f tn I found out i'm pregnant & about 3 weeks along, i was wondering if 200mg motrin will harm my unborn?i heard motrin could cause a miscarriage?
6595237 tn?1382803887 Hypothyroidism, diabetes, tumors and infections of the ulnar and spinal nerves and rheumatism can all cause numbness of little and ring finger. Please consult a neurologist with your MRI and EMG reports. You will probably need extensive physiotherapy, and may need to take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Aleve or Mobic. Hope this helps. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
1699107 tn?1307306696 ve ben told to take only three a day instead of the 10 or 12 I was taking. I hurt to so bad I want to take the whole damn bottle. I have used tramadol, did nothing for the pain, I still have 20 or so left. Ill ask about this Mobic next week. They want to see me once a week. I've never gone to a pain clinic before. I had to pee in a cup BEFORE the appt! But I tell you I cannot continue to live with pain like I've been having,. Sorry!http://icanhascheezburger.files.wordpress.
Avatar f tn I thought I would be ok to but I just needed that extra sure it would be ok. Yeah I usually take motrin or tylenol and it does the trick but I wrenched my neck real good the other day at work and that was that. Thanks for the quick answer. :) The suboxone is one amazing med. saved me and looks like ALOT of people.
176838 tn?1211460374 Thanks for all of your wonderful comments. The specialist was surprised that my primary doc didn't do any rheumatology labs. I don't think he did a HLA-B27 test so I'll ask him about that next time. I still haven't made up my mind about the mobic; I have a fear of taking new meds anyway and the fact that I can't take any motrin or excedrin migraine (I use one or the other or *both* almost every day) while on mobic I'm still unsure.
Avatar n tn I( have pulsing feelings too. I am being treated for lyme disease with strong antibiotics and they are lessening.
Avatar f tn I don't know if I've been tested for Celiac disease. I had a whole battery of tests done to rule out...everything it seems. I do take Calcium as my rheumy prescribed a Calcium/Vit D combo pill. I guess I'll try the other things you have mentioned. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
Avatar m tn I suggest you take this to your doctor. You may also want to hold mobic for a while and see if the symptoms would stop. Stress can also heighten our sensations and may contribute to your symptoms. Regards and God bless.
Avatar f tn Thanks! I went in to the doctor becasue it got so bad. My back was hurting, but my chest X-Ray came back normal. The doc said that it may be that I strained the muscles and that some people actually break ribs. He put me on "Mobic" for the pain, but Mobic has only been out since 2002 - It does seem to ease the pain though. After your test did you feel weird even after a week? Thanks again for your help!
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
Avatar f tn I have had a very difficult year with lots of body pains. I've been on anti-inflammatories for months, the last being Mobic (meloxicam). About a week ago, I had a couple of days of palpitations (95 to 110 b.p.m.) constantly. I went to my pain doctor and he noticed it was unusually fast so he told me to stop the Mobic. I had all day fast heart rate for next two days. It's much better now; however, about a week ago, i woke up at around 4:00 a.m. with heart pressure.
Avatar n tn My back is chronically sore from my profession(dentist). I take 800mg tabs of Motrin as needed. I have noticed over the last few years that I have been getting atrial heart palpitations at certain times. They occur 2 to 3 times per year. I have been to a cardiologist and have had an echo stress test done that I passed with flying colors. The cardiologist told me to come back when I am having an episode. The last episode was last night at 11 pm. His office was closed!
