Avatar m tn Hi there. According to your thoracic spine MRI there is disc herniation or prolapse of T7 T8, T8 T9 levels. this can cause myelopathy, like increase muscle tone, hyperreflexia, abnormal gait, urinary or bowel incontinence, ipsilateral weakness and contralateral pain or sensory disturbances. Nausea cannot be attributed to this. Consult a physician for assessment of this nausea. Rule out hyperprolactiniemia and gastric disturbance as the cause. Take care.
9785001 tn?1415898658 1.Small protrusions from T7-T8 through T10-T11, with mild central stenosis at T7-T8 and T8-T9, stable. 2.No significant cord impingement at any level.
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar f tn normal height with no evidence of compression fracture. Within the posterior aspect of the T8 vertebral body. There is a focal lesion of increased T2 and decreased T1 signal which shows homogeneous enhancement following contrast. The lesion measures 15 x 8 mm. Tiny extensions of the lesion extending toward the pedicles, and there is slight flattening of the posterior cortex with thin enhancement of the overlying epidural space. No lesion was seen on prior CT.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know if mobic is addictive? My doctor switched me to them today from loratab. I am glad because the loratab really is addictive and I would rather not have my body relying on anything. I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.
Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
624803 tn?1222028608 I had an MRI done on my thoracic spine and lumbar spine. The report read that t7-t8 had a central disk protrusion with a focal mass effect on the thoracic cord...this was also noted for the t8 - t9. I also have protrusion at the t11 and t12. I have a lot of pain in my back from upper to lower. I even have a hard time walking after sitting in a vehicle for an hour. It is literally like learning how to walk again. I have tingling and numbness that goes all the way down to my toes.
944404 tn?1245565414 I have been diagnosed with a Protruding disc at T7-T8 level in my back and bulging discs above and below. I have been in alot of pain for over 8 years now and have done everything to try and help it but surgery. They say it is risky due to the discs above and below being bad if they fused the spine it could rupture the other bad discs. Im tired of living life like this. I have done everything they have asked and end up hurting more in the end.
Avatar m tn I am trying to find other MRI report, without film to compare with my own MRI reports. I have herniated disc in both parts of my spine, T7-T8 & L4-L5. both are moderate to severe in nature and would be interested in comparing to other reports with same areas ans same damage. The disc between L4-L5 in bulging by 5mm and T7-T8 4mm. I am not sure if those are alot or not, but I know I am in pain all day. Thanks !!!
Avatar f tn If someone was to injure the place between T8 and T9 on their vetebrae would there be a chance that they could still walk again? Even a small chance?
Avatar m tn Canal diameter has also been narrowed to approximately 8mm at this level. A broad based,2-3mm disc bulge is seen at the T7-T8 level. Canal diameter has been narrowed to 9mm, A minimal,1-2mm disc bulge is also seen at T8-T9. Signal within the vertebral bodies is normal throughout. There is no evidence of a significant compression fracture seen. Signal within the thoracic cord is normal as well. No abnormal enhancement is identified. Impression:Impression: 1.
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
Avatar m tn I have been diagnosed with 3 disk protrusions at T8 - 9 and T5 and 6 this sounds like two but the doc says 3 and one minor one below inthe low pine some where. I have had an injection of steriods between T8 and 9 the pain was unreal durring and after the injection I could barely walk for 3 days due to the spams through out my intire back and tail bone area.
Avatar f tn 1. At t8-9 small midline disc protrusion has effaced the ventral subarachnoid space. 2. T11-12 midline disc protrusion with epidural hematoma, effaces the ventral subarachnoid space. 3. T2 thought T8 mild hydromyelia is present.. This may be secondary to the disturbances of CSF ciriculation secondary to the disc protrusion at T8-9. From this MRI why do I hurt so badly throughout my mid back. So very painful most of the time. Thanks!
Avatar n tn there is a small subtle area of abnormal cool signal centered at t8-t9. if there is no specific myelopathic symptoms and no history of demyelinating disease at this point i would consider obtaining at least a short term follow up mir with contrast in 3 months. findings decreased t2 signal multiple levels, anterior spondylosis centered at t9-t10 most notably, vertebral height and alignment is grossly maintained.
Avatar f tn I have bulging disc at C6-C7 and at T8-T9. I read that the T8-T9 is rare is this true? And that they dont ever want to fix that??? Also I have been told they suspect I have Occipital Neuralgia, just waiting on Neurosurgery Appointment for this too.
Avatar m tn FINDINGS: There is a mild dextroscoliosis centered near T8. There is chronic 20% anterior wedging of T8. There is straightening from T4 through T7. Disc degeneration is mild to moderate at T8-9 through T10-11 with narrowing, endplate irregularity and prevertebral spondylosis. Disc degeneration is mild with prevertebral spondylosis at T6-7 and T7-8. Additional mild degenerative changes are present diffusely. No significant focal vertebral marrow pathology is seen.
Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
Avatar f tn I was just prescribed mobic and I just wondered if it's afdictive
