Avatar f tn The folic acid will help relieve side effects. Some doctors give you a 5 mg tablet that you take once a week; other doctors prescript 1 mg a day. I take the 5mg weekly, plus an extra, over the counter supplement along with my multivitamin/mineral tablet. On mtx day, though, I don't take anything containing folic acid. The reason for this is that mtx and folic acid compete for the same chemical receptors in the body, so taking them together makes them both work less well.
Avatar f tn I was instructed to take the full 90 mg tablet once a day in the am on an empty stomach. I read many posts elsewhere detailing different information so it was my assumption that the Dr wasn't familiar with this medication and might opt to put me back on Levo. I requested the free t3 after my initial testing so I will get those results once tested in March.

1276940 tn?1564515084 I am on Mobic, 15 mg once daily, but I usually only take it Aug-April. Because the colder months is when I usually hurt the most. But not this year. I have been on Mobic since last April. I take it with food, first thing in the morning, and it still upsets my stomach. I have tried taking it every other day. But it still bothers my stomach on the days I take it.

Avatar n tn In cobalamin deficiency, 2 mg of cyanocobalamin administered orally on a daily basis was as effective as 1 mg administered intramuscularly on a monthly basis and may be superior." Almost any substance may be used sublingually if it dissolves easily in saliva. 1581408 tn?1296506870 The mobic helped a bit with mobility (all my joints were stiff and painful by then), but the tramadol did nothing other than make me too sleepy to function. Unfortunately, a few months later I lost my health insurance and could no longer see a doctor to get the Mobic renewed, so I went back to managing with Advil for the next 6 years. In Nov. 2011 I was in a terrible car accident.
