mobic

Avatar n tn Are these meds taken all at the same time? It would depend a lot on that... It looks like you went through someone's medicine cabinet and wrote everything down!
518798 tn?1295212279 i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.
1699107 tn?1307306696 I feel for you. Tramhater is right there are other things to help with pain, like Mobic. You may have rebound pain also, which is caused when you wd your body increases pain so take more pills.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with "noodle leg" today. Have had MS since 2006 on Neurontin & Mobic not really working, by my PCP, any suggestions please. I'm dragging my left leg now, its turning inward, pain, numbness & tingling, weakness. I'm falling more as well. Pain in shoulders, arms & hands as well. Terrible insomnia.
1276940 tn?1564515084 I am on Mobic, 15 mg once daily, but I usually only take it Aug-April. Because the colder months is when I usually hurt the most. But not this year. I have been on Mobic since last April. I take it with food, first thing in the morning, and it still upsets my stomach. I have tried taking it every other day. But it still bothers my stomach on the days I take it.
Avatar m tn I so much agree w/ Bkitty! I started taking lortabs 5 mg, then upped to 7.5 mg then upped to 10 mg. It was all for legitimate pain. After being able to take them as prescribed for awhile, I started upping them for the relief and the way I felt, and the energy I had (even tho a nice warm fuzz in head), and b4 I knew it, by the time I finally survived a car wreck with ligit pain and back surgery for two disc replacements, I was taking 20-30 mg/day.
Avatar f tn I have called my Dr. for a nonnarcotic pain pill and was prescribed mobic. This vicoprofin has me depressed even while taking 90 mg of cymbalta to the point of not interacting with people and doing day to day activities. what should I do? Can anyone help me? Please!
635402 tn?1270162477 Hi everyone I have tried many things for my intense headaches, while they try and figure out the cause. The have tried pain management techniques, chiropractic therapy, bio feed back, the list goes on. They have tried morphine, and vicodin among other drugs they and these did not help. They are trying Meloxicam usually just called Mobic.
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar m tn I actually tried it a few days ago and it it awesome at just 50 MG 2 times a day. No more pain and I sleep like a baby. It acts directly on nerves by mimicking nerve fluid and calms them. The nerves control muscles, so it calms them too. It also helps with anxiety. So I guess there are non-narcotic ways to control pain. It is an expensive drug, but so was our habit. I understand that it does not work for everybody, but I certainly think it is worth a shot for some of you.
1311475 tn?1274198780 As soon as I take it I have sweating, chills, leg cramps, and body jerking ( like restless legs but all over) right now I am at 60 mg of methadone, I am supposed to take .05 mg of clonazapam 4 times a day for anxiety. My new Dr. gave me Mobic to help with the pain, but I don't believe she read my medical history of blood clots and Hepatitis C, I am in desperate need of an answer, so I can ask to be referred to a Dr.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know if mobic is addictive? My doctor switched me to them today from loratab. I am glad because the loratab really is addictive and I would rather not have my body relying on anything. I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.
Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Avatar m tn ve been prescribed Meloxicam/Mobic for the pain and inflamation. The data sheet that came with the prescription details some pretty nasty potential side effects. I normally don't have too much trouble with meds but this stuff is potent. What have been your experiences with this med? I'm also on Paxil, 10mgs per day, and Methlyne, 15mgs per day, for the depression and anxiety problems. Thx in advance for all your replys. Thom.
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
5082295 tn?1371250911 I just started Mobic (meloxicam) a few days ago and they say I should work fast. Im taking one 7.5 tab a day for Piriformis syndrome which is a disorder that occurs when the sciatic nerve is compressed or otherwise irritated by the piriformis muscle. I really don't see any difference in my pain level at all, I had more help w ibphrofen, should I take that right now too? could I increase the dose till I talk to my doc on Monday or should I give it more time to work?
1311475 tn?1274198780 I am now taking 60 mg. of methadone, trying to get off of the methadone to become eligible for other pain treatment. I didn't know where to ask this question. The 1st reason I started taking the methadone was due to heroin abuse, which I started to kill the pain from a car accident. I had dabbled in heroin use prior to my car accident. But have been clean for many years now, thanks to the methadone.
175688 tn?1297556647 they are a very good med this is what i take now if i ever have back pain and yes it is an anti inflam but it is stronger than naproxen or ibprofen this is the med that helped my pain while i was in withdrawals and now that i am clean i no longer have pain because most of my left over back pain from surgery was my brain making me hurt so i would use med so now if i ever do have pain i take a mobic(thats the brand name for meloxicam) and about 20 minutes later i no longer hurt and it is not addic
Avatar f tn t feel like battery acid is Keflex. Every NSAID I have tried feels like battery acid (ibuprophen, mobic). My doc put me on methylprednisolone as a last ditch effort and EVEN THAT feels like battery acid, but unlike with all the others.. after the medication left my system I felt 100% like a normal, pain free, human being. I desperately, desperately want to continue with steroid therapy but I don't know what to try next.
1516809 tn?1345082764 Both provided no relief. She then changed me to Mobic 15Mg and Gabapentin, which also provided no relief. I then was prescribed Dicoflenac pills, went off the Gabapentin, and then was prescribed Tramadol. Well the Tramadol does provide relief for the pain. I find that I need to take 150 mg, 50mg every six hours for relief and especially before bedtime so I can sleep without feeling discomfort in my legs. I never experience any pain in my lower back.
Avatar m tn Great information. I've done the OTC meds and that's what took me to Mobic/Meloxicam. My doctor did the preauthorization and that's what was denied. I don't even know if Celebrex is going to bet miracle. I will go to their website and see if I can get some discount coupons. Just for general information to anyone that cares..... I have seen a top gastroantonologist (spelling) who killed the myth about Tylenol and liver function.
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
Avatar f tn i was put on Gabapentin (1500 mg) and did Ok for about 2 years. (the stabbing was not as painful/frequent) about 9 months ago I started to get worse. more painful and frequent stabbing pains so my neurologist switched me to Lyrica (200 mg a day) Initialli it seemed to help but I am now experiencing stabbing pains at least 3 times a day which leaves me with throbbing in my head that leaves me incapable of functioning.
Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
Avatar f tn I was up to 16 Advil a day and 15 mg of Mobic a day. I ignored everything until I woke up with nodule on my finger. I saw my internal meds doc a week or so ago. I've not yet tried methotrexate at all and hear that it works well in helping stop the progression of the illness, but with my GI issues I'm worried about the possible damage. To answer your questions: I do take in all of the first question.
5262038 tn?1415312585 by Schoen11, 4 minutes Hi all Today I have only taken 50 mg of tramadol after a 16 year habit upwards of 18 pills daily! My last BIG dose ( 18 pills) was about 3 weeks ago.
