mobic

518798 tn?1295212279 i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.
Avatar m tn Apply ice, and take a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Aleve or Mobic. You will need X-rays of the lower spine, pelvis and hip to see if you have a bony injury. The swelling could be a contusion (which will respond to the above treatment) or it could be a hematoma (localized collection of blood which may get re-absorbed or may need drainage). Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!
168348 tn?1379357075 I have had two complete round of bloodwork ($1,600 worth) to ascertain that mine is not due to thyroid or any other medical condition (I have history of calcium oxalate kidney stones, early small melanoma and small finding of thyroid cancer both in '07) and all thank goodness came back 100% normal except for the Vitamin D which was 9 on a ref. range of normal being 32-100.
Avatar f tn I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar n tn I was admitted based on family history and my emzyemes were slightly elavated. I had a catherazation done and found that my arteries were 20-30% blocked but nothing significant. I was put on Lipitor and already take Lisinipril for high blood pressure. I was discharged and did not exercise for about 3 weeks. I then went for a run and when I finished I developed chest pain and lightheadness again after execising. I went back to the emergency room and they said it was not cardiac.
Avatar f tn Meanwhile apply ice packs for 10-15 minutes two to three times a day. Raise your leg, do not bear weight, take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Aleve or Mobic and consult a doctor. Avatar n tn Does anyone know if mobic is addictive? My doctor switched me to them today from loratab. I am glad because the loratab really is addictive and I would rather not have my body relying on anything. I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.
Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Avatar n tn The doctor is probably looking for esophagitis, gastritis or even gastric ulcer by doing an upper GI endoscopy. Long history of heartburn can result in any of these conditions and all of them can cause chest pain. The tiredness could be due to low hemoglobin. I would suggest you to take plenty of green leafy vegetables and an Iron supplement to improve your hemoglobin levels.
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. 168348 tn?1379357075 Last night about 10 hours after eating Mexican food and 2 glasses of Sangria, I had some mild heartburn before retiring and took Mylanta and felt fine. I woke up at 2:30AM from a sound sleep and was gasping for air in a stridor sound *gasping loudly with no air movement* that woke up my husband, too. It was terrifying with what felt like a huge amount of hot gastro reflux which came up and was choking me .. no air would pass. Within 5 seconds it relieved itself and I was fine ..
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.

176838 tn?1211460374 I am a 31 year old female and I recently saw a fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue specialist for a myriad of complaints including fatigue, headaches, joint & muscle pain. He thinks I might have sleep apnea which would account for some of my symptoms but not all. I have some of the pressure points for fibromyalgia but not a full 11.
Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...

493368 tn?1209757681 Mobic 15mgs has worked very well for my severe ankle tibial tendonitis and moderate arthritis coupled with physical therapy which helped restore my range of motion which was 60% lost at the time of therapy. However, the tendonitis can not be helped any furthe (I wear orthotics _ high top sneakrs and a splint brace to sleep at night) The mobic helps the arthritis alot for me & I've been on it 1.5yrs with normal blood labs.
Avatar m tn Following injury I took a radiograph of the patella that showed there has been no damage to it. Total knee restraint period was approximately 5 days.
