Common Questions and Answers about Mobic bursitis

mobic

Avatar f tn I am not very knowledgeable about any of this so please bear with me, I have been told I have a Haglund triad in my left foot. Physio provided no relief and I could not take mobic due to Side effects and the Panadol osteo was doing nothing to help. I ended up seeing a specialist who has just given me a cortisone injection, I'm not even sure if this was for the bursitis or the severe insertional Achilles tendinopathy. The needlestick appears to be into the Achilles tendon.
Avatar m tn t go away. First of all I got bursitis in both shoulders, then tendonitis in both elbows and wrists. I now have tendonitis in both hips and pain In both knees which I haven't had looked at yet. I have had blood tests for arthritis, Osteoarthritis and connective tissue disorders. All came back clear. These were all reviewed by a specialist who said there was nothing he could see that could be causing the problems. So now I have no idea what to do??
518798 tn?1295212279 i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.
6402846 tn?1391063748 The pain on extending the arm can be due to tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, tendonitis, bursitis, fracture or nerve compression. First show this to your family doctor. You may also need to see an orthopedic specialist. Meanwhile, apply ice pack, rest arm on sling, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Aleve or Mobic. Hope this helps. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
5082295 tn?1371250911 I just started Mobic (meloxicam) a few days ago and they say I should work fast. Im taking one 7.5 tab a day for Piriformis syndrome which is a disorder that occurs when the sciatic nerve is compressed or otherwise irritated by the piriformis muscle. I really don't see any difference in my pain level at all, I had more help w ibphrofen, should I take that right now too? could I increase the dose till I talk to my doc on Monday or should I give it more time to work?
1264863 tn?1391118193 m 18 have fibromyalgia, intractable pain, degenerative deterioration of the spine, bursitis of the right hip.
Avatar m tn Naproxen, Vioxx, Celebrex, Diclofenac, Mobic, Sulfasalazine, Plaquenil, Clinoril, Lodine, Methotrexate, Neurontin, Methilprednisolone, Prednisone, HUMIRA injections. (These are the ones I remember). My current regimen is Humira 1wk., Leflunomide 1day and tapering off of Prednisone. But guess what?? I'm still in a lot of pain in my L/elbow and some pain in R/hand and wrist. I have come to doubt I actually have RA. Perhaps I have some weird unknow disease not known to the medical community.
Avatar n tn Sudden onset knee pain can be due to ligament tear, bursitis, meniscus injury or due to dislocation of patella. Since you heard a popping sound, in all probability, it is a ligament tear or meniscus injury. The location of pain can shift with healing, and often residual pain remains due to incomplete healing. So, if you cannot get a MRI for confirmed diagnosis, arthroscopy is the next option.
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know if mobic is addictive? My doctor switched me to them today from loratab. I am glad because the loratab really is addictive and I would rather not have my body relying on anything. I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.
199177 tn?1490498534 I have bursitis on one of the bursa's below my knee where the tendons all meet it has been going on for months. I am going to PT for it and taking mobic does anyone have any idea to get the pain and swelling down? I am icing it a few time a day .

Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
1903798 tn?1333905288 I left there crying and more hopeless. I have been on celebrex by PCP for the last month due to bursitis in hips and heels and it is not helping. Today after laying in bed for 2 days decided what do I have to lose I will call rheum and make an appointment. I thought maybe he did not want to treat me preop as I was on so many meds and getting ready for brain surgery and after all he was right the surgery did help but did not fix my overall pain. Today I saw my rhem and he was very nice.
Avatar f tn can shoulder bursitis be cured? Had 3rd rotator cuff surgery and report says I have massive irratative bursitis. what exactly is that? Is it like arthritis?
Avatar m tn I am wondering, if bursitis is inflammation, does applying cold to the area work better than applying heat to the area

Avatar m tn I am an athlete and have been taking it easy for months due to my hip bursitis. I am eager to get back to working out as this injury has taken a toll on my sports performance, however my hip just refuses to heal. I have taken tons of advil, stayed off my feet as much as possible, and avoided exercises that aggravate my hip, but nothing is really making a difference. How do I find an effective way to heal my hip for good?
Avatar f tn I have had fibromyalgia for 15 years and hip bursitis for 5 years. the more research I do the more I see how related they are. I am to the point after various therapies to consider using a walker at 55 years old. It is difficult for me to walk and to climb stairs. I use to be very active. Is there any research indicating why these two are so synonymous?
Avatar m tn I have bursitis of the knee that hasn't fully healed in over a year. If I exercise with the bursitis, including use of the leg extension machine, what kind of injury am I risking?
Avatar n tn I had hip bursitis in my right hip after in a car accident. The greater trochanter bursitis was caused from injury. After severe swelling the tingling in my foot was also very apparent. I believe it was a result or impeachment on blood flow. After a year of misdiagnosis and relying heavily on my left leg. I have now developed greater trochanteric bursitis on my left leg and yes I can concur that I have tingling in my left foot now but related to the swelling.
