I was given Rozex cream (metronidazole) as i have an itchy penis (head). When i asked what was the diagnosis they said a fungal infection.
Why have i been given this cream when metronidazole doesn't cure fungal infections?
Is there any indication for using this cream on the penis at all?
I thought most infections or protozoa were treated with oral metronidazole?
Did anyone take pills for infection down there, I was prescribed Metronidazole, very scared to take it but I read online the infection is dangerous.
The doctor may prescribe metronidazole to treat vaginal infection, Usually, metronidazole can be taken orally. Sometime metronidazole can also be inserted directly into the vagina with a topical gel.
My doctor said that I have bv and he prescribed me metronidazole so I have been taking that for about a week faithfully and still have a few days to go. But I have noticed that every time I go to the bathroom I get huge clots of white discharge and sometimes when I wipe there is sticky, web looking discharge. Is this normal? I am 35 weeks.
When I found out that I had trich, I bought Metronidazole and took 2grams (1 dosage) of it. Metronidazole made me feel really sick! Anyway, after a week I realized that I still had trich. Exactly the same symptoms were still there. So, I took Tinidazole.. a 2g dose. When will this take effect? I took tinidazole after I had dinner and went to sleep right away so that I won't feel the side effects of which I had when I took Metronidazole.
I was tested with a urethral swab as well as a urine test. The swab came back as (NGU) and I was treated with 1g of azithromycin orally and sent on my way. Upon urinary testing results (NGU) came back positive for chlamydia a week later and was pronounced as properly treated. (No sexual contact other than masturbation)
December 4th return to doctor with no resolve in symptoms. Retested with swab and positive for (NGU) given 100mg doxycycline orally twice daily for 7 days.
After ur response I went back to the clinic, and asked him to treat me for an NGU, I took Metronidazole 2 g orally in a single dose and now feel much better. Thanks......I'm never gettin a ** without a dome again, learned my lesson.
I had bv at about 20 weeks and doctor prescribed Mr metronidazole gel to be inserted vaginally for a week. I didn't put the applicator all the way in. Only halfway like he said. I've had that and about 3 yeast infections and I'm about 26 weeks and baby is just fine and hoping he stays that way. But I'm always sure to catch it early. As soon as of starts feeling the slightest bit funny down there, off to the doctor I go!
A deep dental cleanse on a good periodontal dentist or a simple course of an antibiotic called METRONIDAZOLE for 5 days will improve you gum bleading and smell for a long time. Metronidazole gel is also available for topical use on the gums. It wont take you more than a week to do these two things, time that i think your girlfriend will be nice enough to wait before she gets you between her legs.
I took metronidazole gel at about 20 weeks for bv and baby is fine now at about 28 weeks
at first i didnt bother it but after my medication in soar throat and allergy(urcatitaria), my vagina started to became itchy and again, everyday i started having green discharged for `1 week. i went to a gynecologist and she prescribed me a metronidazole miconazole vaginal suppository and ive used that for `1 week.. now what my problem is, my white discharge had stop.. i am also currently taking up medice for my UTI and had experiexed sex but that was like long time ago...
For the past ten days I have been taking Metronidazole (Two 250mg oral tablets, twice daily).
I took my last pills lastnight around 10:30 pm.
My question is, would it be okay for me to consume alcohol on Saturday night?
I know my pharmacist told me to absolutely stay away from alcohol while I was taking the pills because I would vomit alot, and he said most people wait a couple of days after they've finished before they drink. Im just wondering if two days is enough time?
Metronidazole can cause diarrhea as a side effect. But it may be also working on the infective cause of your dog's illness in the first place, so don't stop it without speaking to your vet.
Meanwhile keep your dog hydrated. If you can find an unflavoured electrolyte drink like Pedialyte that would be great. Plain water would do for a short time but Pedialyte would be better.
My heart beat is erratic most of the time anyway but when I tried taking flagyl for campylobacter, it didn't affect my heart at all. I just got extremely sick and intestinal issues worsened. They had to switch me.
t prescribed flagyl or metronidazole for the BV. You need to ask your doctor some questions so you can get a better understanding of what happened. You weren't treated properly for BV which is probably why you are having these symptoms. Either go back to your doctor or get a referal to a good gynecologist.
