I started using metronidazole gel for a possible yeast infection/ mild vaginal infection. I am married and have had the same sex partner for many years. I started to get bladder pressure and burning and thats why I went in to the obgyn yesterday. She prescribed me this gel and I started taking it yesterday and twice today morning and evening. Tonight when I used the tube I took it out and it had a few specks of almost blood clot looking things.

I only used it twice, and experienced bad side effects so I do not plan on using it anymore. Today (April 22), was the last time I used it. Will I be able to drink alcohol on Saturday, April 25? It has been present for a couple of months now. I have tried everything to get rid of them--zit cream, tea tree oil, Metronidazole cream, homeopathic rosacea gel, eczema cream, Desitin, and calamine lotion. Nothing seems to help. I did not change my makeup, laundry detergent, or skin care products before it began. I have fair, sensitive skin as well. Can anyone offer insight into what it may be?

Im having to deal with BV. Im taking Metronidazole Vaginal Gel once a night for 5 nights. My nurse said it WILL just go away after im done with this treatment, has anyone dealt with this while pregnant? Did yours just go away? Was your baby affected by it?
When I went in on Thursday he said he thinks I have Bacterial Vaginosis and prescribed me Metronidazole Vaginal Gel - one dose before bed for 5 nights and he also mentioned I have a mucus plug. On the other hand, as far as your wife is concerned, metronidazole gel is not recommended for treatment because it has a higher failure rate that oral therapy with tinidazole or metronidazole.
You did not mention being tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU but I presume you were. The cipro is marginally effective for some of these infections but the doxycycline is good therapy and would likely cure these if thy were present and contributing to your difficulties.

actually you should've had 8 pills to take - for a total of 2 grams of medication.
give the clinic a call and ask them to please check the pdr and call you in the right dose if that is all you were given.
remember no alcohol at all for a few days either!

go to Gyn most likely is a bacteria vaginal infection they will probably give u Metronidazole Vaginal Gel,0.75% it get right back the way it supposed to smell and u will be felling very confident.
