I visited the doctor Monday with a vaginal infection and was given Metronidazole to start taking. I went back for results Wednesday and I was confirmed to have BV. My doctor then gave me Erythromycin to take (2, twice a day)... as well as the Metronidazole (3, three times a day). This seems like an awful lot of antibiotics. Why was I given Erythromycin, when from as far as I can tell, Metronidazole alone is the recommended treatment for BV?

at first i didnt bother it but after my medication in soar throat and allergy(urcatitaria), my vagina started to became itchy and again, everyday i started having green discharged for `1 week. i went to a gynecologist and she prescribed me a metronidazole miconazole vaginal suppository and ive used that for `1 week.. now what my problem is, my white discharge had stop.. i am also currently taking up medice for my UTI and had experiexed sex but that was like long time ago...
Metronidazole can cause diarrhea as a side effect. But it may be also working on the infective cause of your dog's illness in the first place, so don't stop it without speaking to your vet.
Meanwhile keep your dog hydrated. If you can find an unflavoured electrolyte drink like Pedialyte that would be great. Plain water would do for a short time but Pedialyte would be better.
My heart beat is erratic most of the time anyway but when I tried taking flagyl for campylobacter, it didn't affect my heart at all. I just got extremely sick and intestinal issues worsened. They had to switch me.
For the past ten days I have been taking Metronidazole (Two 250mg oral tablets, twice daily).
I took my last pills lastnight around 10:30 pm.
My question is, would it be okay for me to consume alcohol on Saturday night?
I know my pharmacist told me to absolutely stay away from alcohol while I was taking the pills because I would vomit alot, and he said most people wait a couple of days after they've finished before they drink. Im just wondering if two days is enough time?
I had to take it last week for 5 days. Everything is great with baby. It does say that there is no harm to take it however I understand your concern. I'm 27w 5d I'm sure I would've been me hesitant at 6 weeks.
I have been recently diagnosed with hydradenitis. I had a big outbreak of boils in my groin area. Several of them ,at first everyone thought heey were just regular boils that were very infected until the surgeon came in and said what it was. He did surgery to remove some of the sweat glands some of them healed others just got smaller. Then a month after I got one near the anus called a perirectal abcess, I had to have an incision and drainage done.
Hi guys,i seen some peoples on this forum that got rid off patm with Flagyl(Metronidazole), have you tried this? Would be nice to hear some oppinions about it from peoples who actually used it.
My dog was throwing up (looked like human food- I hve no idea where he got it from) and having diarrhea. The vet gave him amforol among penicillin and steroid injection. We took x-rays and the vet said he had imflammatory bowel disease. Since then he's stopped vomitting but still having diarrhea. Now he's on metronidazole. I've read around that metro will help only temporary and that it could cause liver damage.
Has anyone had this problem and will metronidazole fix his problem?

I have never had a boil on my vagina it got so hard and so big it hurt to sit walk etc. I finally went to the Dr. Keep in mind it was so big it over lapped the other lip on my vagina I've been with my husband for 16 years and cheating is not an option.
hi,i was looking for something to cure my boils and i went to a pharmacy where they gave me a tree tea oil.i read a lot about this oil and sonewhere it says it should be avoided in pregnancy but the pharmacist told me its safe.i donno what to do im so confused.has any one been using this oil in pregnancy?
yes I would suspect something is up and if he is under 18 I would insist he go to the doctor
They are sometimes soft, sometimes hard, red, sometimes puss filled um I thought maybe they were boils like I get on my face or other body parts sometimes but I'm not sure if those are possible in the groin area. I am a female and not sexually active. They come and go randomly and I don't know the cause.
