I'm quite sure I have bad breath, it's hard to tell it for sure because people won't say it, but I have a technique to detect it which consists of inserting a finger as deep as I can in my throat, then leaving it for a few seconds to dry up. If the finger smells horrible (and it does), I'm pretty sure my breath does too.
I have very good oral hygiene, use a powerful mouthwash, but I'm still quite sure my breath from deep inside will smell bad.
I have extreme bloating, which is causing me to have a hard time breathing, what can i do to get rid of this? all the Bloating medicines I've tried did not stop the bloating, could this be life threatening?
I was rushed to the emergency room and had CT scans, abdominal XRays, and stool samples taken. I was diagnosed with C. diff. After my second hospital stay, I was sent home with Metronidazole 500MG tablets to take with food 3X a day. I am on my 8th day of taking this, and still have diarrhea with a loss of appetite. When will the diarrhea clear up? After the Flagyl treatment is completed? Should I be taking a probiotic supplement along with the Flagyl?
You need to check with your doctor on treatment but they have had some sucess with a drug called nitazoxanide. Metronidazole and bacterim often don't work due to resistance. You may wait and see if the symptoms go away on their own.
i have been taking these tablets 6 weeks in total but i am stil suffering severly with bloating and my stomach is constanlty rumbling. Does this sound like h pylori or does anyone else suffer sever bloating from these omeprazole tablets. i am now on the sick from work as i cant do anything when i get the bouts of bloating and shortness of breath.
Any help with my questions will be greatly appreciated.
I visited the doctor Monday with a vaginal infection and was given Metronidazole to start taking. I went back for results Wednesday and I was confirmed to have BV. My doctor then gave me Erythromycin to take (2, twice a day)... as well as the Metronidazole (3, three times a day). This seems like an awful lot of antibiotics. Why was I given Erythromycin, when from as far as I can tell, Metronidazole alone is the recommended treatment for BV?

at first i didnt bother it but after my medication in soar throat and allergy(urcatitaria), my vagina started to became itchy and again, everyday i started having green discharged for `1 week. i went to a gynecologist and she prescribed me a metronidazole miconazole vaginal suppository and ive used that for `1 week.. now what my problem is, my white discharge had stop.. i am also currently taking up medice for my UTI and had experiexed sex but that was like long time ago...
Metronidazole can cause diarrhea as a side effect. But it may be also working on the infective cause of your dog's illness in the first place, so don't stop it without speaking to your vet.
Meanwhile keep your dog hydrated. If you can find an unflavoured electrolyte drink like Pedialyte that would be great. Plain water would do for a short time but Pedialyte would be better.
I was prescribed it last week for a bacterial infection. Took it 4 times and my face started to break out in a rash. Called the pharmacist and then the doctor. Both said i was having an allergic reaction to the medicine. Both said to stop taking it. I go to the doctor next week to ddiscuss other options. So just watch out for that.....
My heart beat is erratic most of the time anyway but when I tried taking flagyl for campylobacter, it didn't affect my heart at all. I just got extremely sick and intestinal issues worsened. They had to switch me.
For the past ten days I have been taking Metronidazole (Two 250mg oral tablets, twice daily).
I took my last pills lastnight around 10:30 pm.
My question is, would it be okay for me to consume alcohol on Saturday night?
I know my pharmacist told me to absolutely stay away from alcohol while I was taking the pills because I would vomit alot, and he said most people wait a couple of days after they've finished before they drink. Im just wondering if two days is enough time?
I went to the obgyn last week they ran urine samples and std tests and everything was okay, I told them I’m spotting still for two weeks now three and cramping the test came back for BV so they prescribed me Metronidazole I felt way too anxious about taking it , Friday I went in for a ultrasound and pelvic ultrasound I believe and got the results today that it was fine. They now prescribed me clindamycin gel which I will pick up tomorrow due to pharmacy out of stock.
Now after meal, I experience bloating and sometimes I have defecation attacks once or twice a day usually after waking up. Most times after defecation, I feel uncomfortable. So now am I with IBS? or what am I having. I have irregularities but what is it? Usually most of the times bloating and constipation occurs when after I masturbate and ejaculate. I also did the Candida spit test at home and resulted positive. Could Candida do this to me? Please help me out.
Hi my name is jennifer I been taking antibiotics for the past 2 weeks, Omeprazole 20 mg, Metronidazole 500 mg and Clarithromycin 500 mg and also I been taking my birth control pills for the past 3 weeks (Jolivette).
I jus found out today I am pregnant. I'm concer with the health of the unborn baby. I am worry if the any possibility of births defects and any other problem related to the medications.
i was given doxycycline and more metronidazole and finished these about three weeks ago. the tests results for stds and candida all came back negative, but the sympoms are still present.
i am going back to the gum the next time i can get away from work, but no one has been able to tell me what kind of infection this is or what kind of treatment will work. i would think it was only bv but the doctor said that it was an infection of some kind.

There seems to be no side effects, the problems of bloating,discomfort (painfull at times) that comes and goes througout the day,has not eased at all.
If these combanation of tablets were going to work,would my symptons have eased by now ?.
The doctors advice is take the full course,and go back to see her in 7 days after finishing course, if symptons persist.
I have been suffering with this off and on for 6 months. And was started to think i should go for a second opinion.
The doctor prescribed me a mega dose of the metronidazole and said I should feel better in 24 hours. I did NOT feel better in 24 hrs I waited a week because everything online kept telling me the symptoms could take a week to subside but when they didn’t I called my doctor and she prescribed me another mega dose. This one did absolutely nothing but make my symptoms worse my cervix hurt so bad.
April 2008 went back to GP, sent me to see gastroenterologist, saw him in July 2008, said he thought that the nerve endings in bowel not working and that I had a bacterial infection, he gave me metronidazole antibiotics, and took blood samples.Also told me never to take fibre gel, to take as many bisocodyl as was needed combined with movicol.
Antibiotics worked, pain reduced, smells tastes and belching went, belly reduced quite a bit, and lost weight.
Went in October 2008 for test results......
Like many people on this forum i have been suffering since April 2012 with severe bloating and pain under my right rib cage. The pain becomes more prominent and uncomfortable after i have eaten.I can only describe the feeling of bloatedness as sore,burning sensation like a balloon about to burst. The pain under my ribs however is as if someone is poking a sharp object into me?? At times it takes my breath away.......i feel it pretty much all of the time but more so after food intake.
