Thank you so very much for your response, I am truly grateful! It has now been 13 days on the Doxycycline (of a 30 day cycle total ) and 4 days applying the Metronidazole 0.75% gel only at night, once a day. Thankfully, there has been much improvement since then. So far, no more flareups, hardly any itching only when my skin gets too dry, and during the day when I don't use the Metrogel, my skin is not as red anymore (more pink or normal in color) or bumpy.
I am trying to get an appointment for my next day off for I know is BV bacterial vaginosis i need a temporary cure for this....please help.....
I've been using metrogel for a few months now for a place on my cheek. It's finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?
Do I tell my doctor about the doxy upsetting my stomach? If I do take a new antibiotic should I use metrogel at the same time? Also, as I said I have somewhat dry skin. Is it okay after I put the metrogel on, to put aloevera or light lotion on my face after the metrogel has dried? Or should I keep any lotion or aloe away from that eye while I use the metrogel? Like I said, the periocular dermatitis/rosacea is just under my right eye, nowhere else!!
Hi...I have never heard of that med, but in research see it is used for reflux and gerd jut like the meds I am aware of.
The dr will RX meds for the mgs and dosage ( times per day) per ur symptoms and how much healing u need.....I am on a gerd med and take it twice a day.....
If u also modify ur diet and lifestyle u may heal a bit faster and be able to cut back on teh dosage faster.
Try eating activia yogurt twice a day! I couldn't get rid of my bacterial infection for the life of me until I started eating this yogurt... and so far no infection since April! It wouldn't hurt to try. Hope this helps!

I took the a 3 day monistat suppository & when that finished I took the metro gel for BV medicine. Should I have waited to take the BV medicine since now I getting a
white clumpy discharge? If left there too long it seems to irritate to me. Do I need to retreat the yeast or will it clear once I finish the metrogel??
I have a yeast infection might start my period soon and im on Fluconazole and metronidazole (2 pills 72 hours apart and metrogel for 5 days once every bed time) yesterday was my first day on pill and gel and today i notiched like this blood like little clumps nothing like discharge i want to know if its normal ?
I was tested positive for HIV this February. I have been an occasional user of MDMA via syringe. I tested negative for Hepatitis B and C. During the first week of June, I suddenly came down with a fever which wouldn't go away. Later the doctors found a lesion on my liver, for which I was treated with Metronidazole (Metrogel) injections, and later metrogel tablets. Recent CT scan shows "a cystic lesion on the liver, measuring 4x3.5 cms with a smooth enhancing wall seen in segment IV.
Sometimes once a day, sometimes twice. After awhile you get a feel what works but the Sodium seem the best overall for me as Metrogel could sometimes irritate as well as Elidel, but once I got it under control the Metrogel and Elidel were good for maintenance. Experiment. Experiment.
You should also know that there are various laser treatments -- or more accurately pulsed light treatments, but IMO way to early for you to consider that.
s own and is gone confirmed 2 times by doctor.I was given metrogel I used 1 dose and had difficulty breathing headache and tremors.so the doc said stop med.Then went to see a gyno specialist and she said same bv and she removed a polyp from cervix it was benign she also told me I tested positive for urea plasma all my other std test are negative.HIv neg.no chlamydia,gonorrhea, trichomonosis all negative.she prescribed metrogel and doxycycline I tried the metro gel was taken off.
the smell almost makes me sick. today iv had a bath and washed twice at the handbasin to try and get this away. i used femine intimate wash. now sitting at computer with u guys i smell it bad as ever again. its really disgusting and not something am bothered with. am very particular about my lady regions. am not itchy or swollen or anything and iv had thrush in the past so i know its not that. iv had a lapoarscopy sterilisation done last wednesday. this only started today.
One of my own daughters takes them when she needs them, a few times a year for a few weeks or months. Most of the time she is controlled by Metrogel.

I bought plain yogurt and mixed it with acidophillous powder and inserting it using a metrogel applicator at night, I always wear a liner because of bv anyway, but there is a LOT of discharge. Am I doing this right? has anyone else had good results with this method? how long should it take for symptoms to go away. I shower before and wash with soap but should I use something stronger like hydrogen peroxide???
Hi guys so I just went to the restroom and had a lot of discharge and inside the discharge there was very little blood but it looked like it was kinda veiny. Like brownish reddish veins. It wasn't all over. I don't have any cramping or anything like that but I'm a little conserned. I took metrogel for the first time last night bcuz I have a bacteria. Idk if it's just cleaning it out or wat it could be.
I do use Metrogel for Roseacea and when out of town for a wedding and had to share a bathroom with 9 people, rushed and forgot and put Metrogel on the area under my nose (never done that before) and might have gotten some on my lip in that area. That's been 2 weeks, tho. I was in the sun 3 of those days .....
I tried a search and came up with basal cell carcinoma and saw several places that said the lip is a VERY DANGEROUS spot to have BCC. That terrified me.
m 22 years old and live in Florida and used to go tanning alot but stopped about a year and a half ago. It started when I went on the birth control-nuva ring for ovarian cysts about 5 months ago and recently changed to yaz and have seen no difference. Well, my skin gets hard bumps under the skin which arent pimples and they will form permenant red marks on my face.
75% and so i took the full course and felt better but not fully, I then started thinking what if it was an STD because I started thinking if i contracted for example gonorrhea in my throat and then passed it to my boyfriend and he passed it to me vaginally so i freaked out and went to get an STD check a week after my metrogel treatment and everything came back negative! but i have two questions:
1) Could the metrogel i took for bv have cause a false negative result for gonorrhea and chlamydia?
