metrogel

Avatar f tn I am hoping that continued use with this metrogel is going to work significantly over a months use. I read it takes one-two months for the metrogel to really work when it comes to the periocular dermatitis under the eye. Not sure if thats true.
Avatar f tn I have seen improvement but am still not 100 percent clear, about 98 percent clear I would say. How long do I need to continue to use the metrogel to keep the dermatitis away for good? 2 months? Not sure how long I should use it. Also, I was on doxycycline however it upsets my stomach (with or without food) so I have to call my doctor on monday to try a different antibiotic. Anything you reccomend as far as an antibiotic?
Avatar f tn I've been using metrogel for a few months now for a place on my cheek. It's finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?
Avatar f tn You shouldn't put anything into your vagina like that. It's going to promote growth of ANY bacteria that can use that for a food source, which may or may not include your good bacteria, which could cause an imbalance of your normal vaginal flora. Also, don't put hydrogen peroxide up there or wash with soap. Go see a doctor to treat it and ask if there is anything you can do to prevent it from coming back. Yogurt should only be used to eat.
Avatar f tn I thought you could only take metrogel instead of flagyl while pregnant. I think i read that.
Avatar m tn My 18 year old daughter spent the last 4 months weening off Pristiq and now feel she really needs something for depression and anxiety. So my question, how long to start feeling the effects of Zoloft? She is starting at 50 mg for a week then moving up to 100mg. Any information would be helpful.. I realize everyone is different, but would like to know some experiences.
Avatar f tn If you are planning on working after you have the baby, it is good to work for as long as possible before the baby comes. here's why--- that time you take off counts toward your short term disability and the family medical leave. There are maximum days associated with both of those and you'd be using them to have the baby early. I worked until close to my due date with my first taking a few vacation days.

Avatar f tn When I get out of the shower or overheated, I have a pink spot on the skin just above my upper lip, touching the lip line. It's approx. 2 cm long by 1/4th cm high. There's also a tingling sensation at times. The skin there looks slightly different but I'm 62 and have had age spots burned off in my hairline, etc. I am female, never smoked, don't drink and have never had a cold sore or tested positive for HPV. I do not sunbathe but grew up in the south.
Avatar f tn The NP precribed metrogel for 5 days at bedtime. I havent found the courage to take it yet, because its inserted vaginally. The warning states its a category B and can be passed through the placenta. Has anyone else taken metrogel during their pregnancy? If so wad everything ok?
Avatar f tn Have seen two dermatologists so far but the condition did not improve. He was given topical metrogel 1% which did not work and the 2nd dermatologist put him on antibiotics for 3 months! nothing worked and wondering what other options he has.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Sorry you've had to deal with rosacea. The Finacea has worked well, it seems. Perhaps it's losing its efficacy, don't know. You've also tried Metrogel and Metrocream. Those are the same meds in different form. As you know, rosacea tends to be chronic and recurrent. It is often difficult to treat. Sadly, there is nothing that is uniformly effective... except for being on low-dose antibiotics when you believe a flare-up is coming.
