I've been using metrogel for a few months now for a place on my cheek. It's finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?
If I do take a new antibiotic should I use metrogel at the same time? Also, as I said I have somewhat dry skin. Is it okay after I put the metrogel on, to put aloevera or light lotion on my face after the metrogel has dried? Or should I keep any lotion or aloe away from that eye while I use the metrogel? Like I said, the periocular dermatitis/rosacea is just under my right eye, nowhere else!! I need some professional help here so I can tell him "this is what a professional told me.
Im 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant with my 3rd baby, this is the first time ive been diagnosed with BV, the hospital prescribed me flagyl for the infection, I asked the pharmacies if it was safe the pharmacists told me theres no guarantee that its not harmfull since it passes thru the placenta, when i seen my widwive she told me it wasnt recommend in the 1st trimester, but didnt instuct me to stop taking it but after reading about it i decided to stop it after 3 days of use, has and mother on here
Lastly, she was on a steroid (diprolene) for years for the face (lupus). After the bad burns from the Metrogel, and it healed the dermatologist took her off of the steroid cold turkey and said to just use certain creams until the breakouts from the steroid went away. The "acne" apparently isn't due to the steroid and doesn't look like a rash it looks like acne.

The NP precribed metrogel for 5 days at bedtime. I havent found the courage to take it yet, because its inserted vaginally. The warning states its a category B and can be passed through the placenta. Has anyone else taken metrogel during their pregnancy? If so wad everything ok?
m asking because I have recurrent bacterial vaginosis infections - i have tried metrogel, flagyll tindamax, clindesse, i have it again.. I bought plain yogurt and mixed it with acidophillous powder and inserting it using a metrogel applicator at night, I always wear a liner because of bv anyway, but there is a LOT of discharge. Am I doing this right? has anyone else had good results with this method? how long should it take for symptoms to go away.
I do use Metrogel for Roseacea and when out of town for a wedding and had to share a bathroom with 9 people, rushed and forgot and put Metrogel on the area under my nose (never done that before) and might have gotten some on my lip in that area. That's been 2 weeks, tho. I was in the sun 3 of those days .....
I tried a search and came up with basal cell carcinoma and saw several places that said the lip is a VERY DANGEROUS spot to have BCC. That terrified me.
I have been having soreness and itching for about a month, and I just stopped having sex all together because it stings when I do. After visiting a women’s health center (about two weeks ago) because of these symptoms, I was diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis(BV), but the metrogel I was prescribed gave me a yeast infection. It also made my hands and feet feel tingly so I stopped it after 2 applications. The yeast infection went away with my period.
I was tested positive for HIV this February. I have been an occasional user of MDMA via syringe. I tested negative for Hepatitis B and C. During the first week of June, I suddenly came down with a fever which wouldn't go away. Later the doctors found a lesion on my liver, for which I was treated with Metronidazole (Metrogel) injections, and later metrogel tablets. Recent CT scan shows "a cystic lesion on the liver, measuring 4x3.5 cms with a smooth enhancing wall seen in segment IV.
75% and so i took the full course and felt better but not fully, I then started thinking what if it was an STD because I started thinking if i contracted for example gonorrhea in my throat and then passed it to my boyfriend and he passed it to me vaginally so i freaked out and went to get an STD check a week after my metrogel treatment and everything came back negative! but i have two questions:
1) Could the metrogel i took for bv have cause a false negative result for gonorrhea and chlamydia?

This odor comes with a white discharge, I get to the Dr and she gave me some pills because she said it was bacterial vaginosis, but this odor after a month it came back pls help me
I also had abdominal pain and pressure which lasted after my period. After my period ended I had a watery mucus like discharge which was unusual. I went to my gyno (first available appt) who inspected and thought that I may have a bacterial infection so I was prescribed Metrogel. An STD panel was run and everything was negative except for HSV1. I did not have a UTI. I used Metrogel vaginally once a day for 7 days. The burning subsided.
Hi everyone...Recently I have been having several problems with the skin on my face. Up until about a year ago I had absolutely flawless skin. I'm 22 years old and live in Florida and used to go tanning alot but stopped about a year and a half ago. It started when I went on the birth control-nuva ring for ovarian cysts about 5 months ago and recently changed to yaz and have seen no difference.
I have been treated in the past with dry ice treatmtents. Recently I have been prescribed Minocin, and Metrogel. The metrogel seems to burn my skin. Does laser work for Rosacea? It is $1,800 for the treatment.
I am 54 years old and recently had my thyroid removed due to cancer. Could my Synthroid meds be aggravating this condition. Could these blisters be facial herpes, shingles. I have had this for about 6 months. I can't get into a dermatologist until September.

Usually yellow discharge means some type of infection, if it is more white than yellow it is just your body cleaning itself out and is completely normal.
m feeling some discomfort but nothing overwhelming, mostly just experience the pain during and after sex. I heard that metrogel can cause yeast infections, should I use the rest of the Terazol in case I have a yeast infection? What is causing the tear to reoccur.. yeast? I really want/need this all to go away!
I was diagnosed with a bladder infection and a vaginal infection. I assume its bacterial vaginosis because my doctor prescribed Bactrim and Metrogel. But because I have Raynaud's Syndrome, I can't use Metrogel. So my doctor has now prescribed Cipro. But how would either one help with the vaginosis? And as for the bladder infection, couldn't I just take one because they both treat UTIs?
I have a yeast infection might start my period soon and im on Fluconazole and metronidazole (2 pills 72 hours apart and metrogel for 5 days once every bed time) yesterday was my first day on pill and gel and today i notiched like this blood like little clumps nothing like discharge i want to know if its normal ?
