Metaxalone with food

Common Questions and Answers about Metaxalone with food

skelaxin

Avatar m tn X-ray revealed nothing, and I have been through chiropractic and physical therapy with marginal relief at best ( ~ 24 hours.) medications used include metaxalone, valium and ibuprofen. stiffness has remained constant, w/ a reduced ROM when flexing my neck laterally. I also occasionally experience shooting pain up the left side of my neck when i rotate my head in that direction. Neck remains inflamed and "cracks" often.
Avatar m tn Neither Skelaxin (metaxalone) nor Celebrex (celecoxib) cause dependence. Your body will not crave either medication. You will not develop tolerance to either medication, nor will you suffer withdrawal symptoms in their absence. The usual dose of Skelaxin is 800mg every 6 to 8 hours (three or four times a day). Do not exceed the maximum daily dose, and don't mix Skelaxin with alcohol, barbiturates, or other CNS depressants.
Avatar f tn t work for me, however, it works quite well for my dad (who has a back problem with muscle spasms). Flexeril works pretty well for me, but like you, it makes me VERY sleepy. My prescription for it calls for three a day - but believe me, if I were to take 3 in a day, I wouldn't get out of bed! I've also tried Soma and that also worked pretty well for me and was not as sedating (for me anyway) as the flexeril.
Avatar f tn Some days I can eat, food looks good. Other days food is gross. I'm tired all the time, but no morning sickness. 10weeks, second baby. Anyone else experiencing this?
1584259 tn?1296718935 re bored, lonely, emotional.. food is just something we associate with comfort. What did our moms do when we were upset as babies? They fed us! Why do we crave sugar when we're sad? Because it releases those feel-good hormones. It's only a bad thing when this passion for food gets out of control. Eat when you're hungry and you'll never have to worry. Find something else to do that makes you feel just as good.
Avatar f tn i have been diagnosed with Hypothyriodism at the again of 2 and had a thryoidectomy at the age of 10, but during my 20's i notice that i been using food to cope with my depression and stress. How can i deal with this issue?
1611670 tn?1306690499 Just food is sufficient, but some whole fat, maybe yogurt, if you like ice cream, bagel w/ cream cheese, My coordinators, health care providers, just say eat what you can.
Avatar m tn You often read that too much heat can destroy food nutritional value and create toxic by products. I asked a doctor about alcohol in food once and she dismissed it as nothing but I wonder if that was ill informed?
1452289 tn?1285614948 has anyone tried anything or is on anything they can suggest to me? i cant beleive that with everything they can do in the medical world there are no other pain killers available? i get that im 23 and they dont want me to run out of things for when im older but i need pain releif now!!! i dont get how they dont understand this? any suggestions you have would be soo appreaciated.
Avatar m tn Like most I have always had general back pain I had several surgeries a few years ago where I was in the hospital 2 weeks with gallstones that dissolved and part of the sludge entered my pancreas that ate a hole through it causing 10 litters of fluid to build up behind my lungs. They basically cut me sternum to spine that & used a rib splitter. it causes pain under my breast still. Then last year was in a car accident that caused bulging discs to hit nerves in my lumbar and cervical.
Avatar f tn Dream about food almost every night. Think about food all day. Totally obsessed over food. Strong and distinct cravings too, like down to every little ingredient, and if it's not just right, then I feel ill or actually throw up or just can't eat it and cry over being hungry and dissatisfied... You're totally not alone...
Avatar f tn I have a decent but needy job so I need to do this around work. I have a bunch of Xanax and metaxalone (not sure if the muscle relaxers will help) but would love any additional suggestions that would help make this easier whilst holding down a full time job. Any ideas are welcome, seriously, just need some help here. Already feel like an idiot for getting this bad so don't want to go to my friends and my family are in another country.
Avatar f tn I'm obsessed with mozzarella sticks, chicken nuggets with ranch, coffee with milk & sweets but at the same time trying to eat healthy :/ lol
Avatar f tn I'm almost 18, 5'5" and 123lbs. I've been having a lot of troubles with my eating. My mom makes good and relatively healthy meals. I usually can't get myself to eat a lot and I don't know why. I am a very picky eater, the most picky I've ever been, and it bothers me. Pastas make me throw up and I'm allergic to nectarines.
Avatar n tn I'm a type II diabetic diagnosed this year with food allergies: corn, peanuts, soybeans, eggs and lettuce and various things in those families. That puts a great many "health" and low fat foods off my list and diabetic staples like eggs are a fond memory. I can't find any information out there to help me balance these evils (diabetes and allergies) against each other.
506570 tn?1215836300 I follow the same feeding program with my dogs: dry in the morning and wet and dry mixed together in the evening. Are you using a commercial food formulated for puppies? My vet always insists that we use puppy food up to 14 months, but every pup I've ever had can't stand the stuff. I compromised with puppy dry food mixed with a bit of adult wet food and that was acceptable. The little twits!
