metaxalone headache

X-ray revealed nothing, and I have been through chiropractic and physical therapy with marginal relief at best ( ~ 24 hours.) medications used include metaxalone, valium and ibuprofen. stiffness has remained constant, w/ a reduced ROM when flexing my neck laterally. I also occasionally experience shooting pain up the left side of my neck when i rotate my head in that direction. Neck remains inflamed and "cracks" often.

I was told the deep hip pain is caused by a deep spasm so close to the bone that you cannot see, but it is a spasm. Forget the technical name. Metaxalone was prescribed for me and it helps about 80% of the pain. I hope I answered your question, feel free to ping me if you have any more. Neither Skelaxin (metaxalone) nor Celebrex (celecoxib) cause dependence. Your body will not crave either medication. You will not develop tolerance to either medication, nor will you suffer withdrawal symptoms in their absence. The usual dose of Skelaxin is 800mg every 6 to 8 hours (three or four times a day). Do not exceed the maximum daily dose, and don't mix Skelaxin with alcohol, barbiturates, or other CNS depressants.

I just got switched to metaxalone 800mg and i cant say if they are better or worse than flexeril as they dont seem to affect me either. I am afraid to take more than two since they are 800mg but it might affect me, if it doesnt work i think i will switch back to flexeril as i feel safer taking a higher dose, honestly just because of the size of the metaxalone pills, which i know means nothing but I heard flexeril is the strongest so if something will help maybe that will.

The old standy from Flexeral causes so much sleepiness. One of the better ones that wont make you as sleepy is Metaxalone.

I have a decent but needy job so I need to do this around work. I have a bunch of Xanax and metaxalone (not sure if the muscle relaxers will help) but would love any additional suggestions that would help make this easier whilst holding down a full time job. Any ideas are welcome, seriously, just need some help here. Already feel like an idiot for getting this bad so don't want to go to my friends and my family are in another country.

Hi I am 18 years old and for the past week I have been having the same headache on one spot. Is around my left eye and everytime I look to the left my eye hurts and around that area. When I was 13 I had a MRI done I had a tumor but it wasn't malingnant I was supoose to go to the doctor as I got older to get it checked but never did. Could this be just a migrane? Or maybe that I need glasses?

Hello, If the CT Scan has come out normal, then it can be due to primary headache like tension headache or migraine. Try OTC medicines like aspirin or acetaminophen. For headache pain that cannot be controlled with pain relievers, antidepressants, beta-blockers, or anticonvulsants may be prescribed. Use a cold compress to the area of pain, rest in a room with little or no sensory stimulation (light, sound, and odors) and withdraw from stressful surroundings.

I've had a headache since yesterday it hurts like heck...i took Tylenol 3 times yesterday ad it still hasn't went away...now it hurts worst what do i do...

Every time I get a horrible headache I drink lots of cold water and sit for a bit and it usually goes away !

In on my 12th week of pregancy, 2nd child..and i'm experiencing super headache. My ob advised me to take paracetamol..somehow it eases the pain..a week after, i felt the headache again, this time it is in so much pain.. and i cant handle it, i take the medecine again and i don't feel the pain.. hoping not to feel that super headaches.

Hey ladies, last night I got a headache. I have been taking Tylenol as often as I'm aloud butt it's not helping. I had a friend recommend putting my hands and feet in hot water and ice on the back of my neck but that didn't help either. Anyone have a different remedy for headaches?

I had the same thing and my doctor told me to take 400mg of magnesium a day because its a hormonal headache. When your body gets used to the change in hormones the headaches will go away. Tylenol never touched my headaches. Good luck!
