menstrual cramps that cause vomiting

39 weeks today and have been experiencing menstrual like cramps for a few hours now. Should I assume I'm in labor and call my doctor or is cramping normal?

I've been having these painful cramps for almost a week now, without vomiting or diarrhea. They almost feel like menstrual cramps - in the back - except for they are higher up, and all through out my midsection. I have never had menstrual cramps that felt like this, and I'm not near my period. I would say it's similar to the feeling you get when you have diarrhea, but I'm going to the bathroom as usual, no constipation either.

I am a 22 year old female. Starting around the beginning of this year, I have been feeling like vomiting but don't actually vomit a day or two after my period ends. This last for three days and then gets better. During my period, I am perfectly happy. I usually eat a lot, but when I have the vomiting feeling, I can't eat as much. There has been one or two times that I did not experience the vomiting sensation, but it happens more often than not.

Has anyone experienced menstrual like cramps early in pregnancy? I am almost 6 weeks and have off and on menstrual like cramps anywhere from my sides to my pelvic area. I had an ovarian cyst rupture recently so I was told the pain in my side came from the fluid left around my ovaries and that it would take care of itself. It has been 11 days since the cyst ruptured but I still occasionally have pain.

Worse than menstrual cramps, and reminded me of when I was experiencing contractions from labor. The pain radiated to my lower back also. The pain has been off and on for a whole week now, with some days being better than others. It gets a lot worse if I'm even the slightest bit hungry, and as soon as I eat the cramps stop. I assumed it was food poisoning since this all started immediately after my meal on Monday, but I've never heard of it causing cramps for a week straight! Any ideas?

I had that a lot at first to. Dr said as long as there is not a lot of blood with the cramping its normal. Your uterus is growing that's why you'll feel the cramping.

Hi there. Well, that does sound bad. Vomiting is a reaction to serious pain I've had myself but that has been things like childbirth or a traumatic injury . . . not my monthly cycle! Is this new? I did pass a simple cyst once which was very painful in terms of cramping and pains during my cycle. I have cramps now that are painful but not to the extreme of throwing up. Does ibuprofen help? This is a good cure for menstrual pain.

The last time I was on Clomid I had to stop due to cysts. Clomid is known for causing them.

I am taking the pills so I will get my period and 3 days late and no sign of it coming ( no cramps or soreness) Im no worried if im preg I know im not as I have had blood tests and Ultra sounds earlier this month.

This is not to scare you. I had this one am, two sets of menstrual cramps. I was concerned so i layed down and monitor it for a bit, i had nothing more and was goingto ignore it. I called a nursing line who told me ineeded to get checked despite them going away. I went in assuming i was wastjng time, turned out i am at risk for preterm labor and my cervix is shortening. How far along are you? At 30wks I went to dr & hospital for having really bad cramps & back pain and I ended up getting monitored all day & they said I was having uterine irritability (mini contractions) & they had to give me a preterm labor shot. They said it could've been brought on by dehydration or bacterial vaginosis (an infection I had at the time).

t have any other symptoms like vomiting or nausea .I worried too much that there is no symptoms of pregnancy but HCG is giving good results.I feel that I am carrying twins. My scanning is on 6th week.
