Men's health issues fatigue

Common Questions and Answers about Men's health issues fatigue

Avatar m tn I do not believe in the catch-all 'adrenal fatigue'. In addition to chasing up an endo for a STIM test, in your place I would see a Men's Sexual Health physician who day in day out treats men with issues like yours. He or she may be able to quickly and accurately identify what it is you have and how to cure or teat it. And send you for the right tests. I agree with Rumpled: do not take any meds or injections until your condition is first completely diagnosed.
Avatar m tn I think this would be a very good time to schedule a complete work up to find out exactly why your so fatigued and experiencing brain fog. Set up an appointment and get to the bottom of your health issues.
Avatar f tn If you have seen a cardiologist and all heart issues were ruled out, I can bet your issues are anxiety related. Anxiety mimics lots of symptoms, heart issues mainly. I have anxiety and my heart races, I get sweaty palms, worrisome, think I am going to pass out and its anxiety. You are pretty young and any CHF is unlikely especially if youve been healthy all this time. Your hernia and acid reflux is likely just that- heartburn etc.

Avatar n tn Also fatigue goes hand in hand with depression, so once depression is under control it could automatically correct your fatigue. Of course there are many other health conditions that causes fatigue. Pain in palm/fingers Carpal Tunnel Syndrome-- tingling, weakness, achiness or numbness in the wrist, fingers or forearm. It is due to swelling of membranes that compress a nerve in the forearm. Weight gain diet/exercise, diet/exercise, diet/exercise.
599170 tn?1300977493 I was the first to vote YAY... I've had hashimoto's for 3 years and been on treatment for hypothyroidism. The only time i have "female issues" is when my medication needs adjusted and my levels are off one way or the other.. The problems i encounter is heavy or lighter periods...
17401092 tn?1456356755 I posted this in Men's health but I think it fits better over here. Wife and I met a recent divorce female who happens to be much younger than us. We click almost instantly, fast friends! One night wife and our friend were discussing the topic of threesomes, our girlfriend told her she would be interested in participating in group sex with the two of us, it was just talk but the sexual attraction was definitely there between the three of us.
231441 tn?1333896366 I am often at the receiving end (They think I am a drama queen, and just making up health issues and should just get on with it). Definitely no excuses accepted. My team did very well considering the challenges we faced. And a lot was learned about handling such a situation, as well as the sort of support we need from the rest of the team under such circumstances (support we had difficulty getting in the heat of the event). Just got my period last night. It is a shocker this time.
Avatar m tn OR if we should push for some Cytomel now. her symptoms are still fatigue although it is not nearly as bad as it was. hair loss, dry skin, acid reflux medicine, trouble sleeping, periods were irregular both in timing and flow, can't lose weight no matter what. I will try to get a history of TSH, FT4 and other labs as well if I can the dosage of Levo she was on during that time. Like I said this is the first time we've ever gotten an FT3 test.
572651 tn?1531002957 Well, I planned to go to my once-a-month MS support group tomorrow at noon, but this weekend my dizziness hit hard with nausea (vertigo?) on top of the extra fatigue, blurred vision and dry eyes. I contacted my neuro's office and will be seeing a nurse practitioner tomorrow at 3:30. I don't feel like I can drive safely, so I won't make it to support group, and a friend will drive me to appt. I'll catch the bus home. Unless I wake up feeling better!
572651 tn?1531002957 I also have taxes to prepare, both personally and for our non-profit, and a protocol to finish writing for a Men's Program (batterer intervention). But I already feel so exhausted and am seeing double so badly that I'm not sure I'm going to get any of it done. My computer screen is just a stinking blur. So much to do and no mind to do it with, it seems.
Avatar f tn If you take an iron or calcium-containing supplement, take it at night so the two are as far apart as possible because of absorption/drug interaction issues. In Dec '11 I was started on 25 mcg of levothyroxine. It did not seem to have an effect and my TSH kept rising and my "frees" were reverse of what they should have been. 5 weeks later, my endo increased my dose to 50 mcg and switched me to Synthroid. After two weeks, I began to see quite a difference.
987762 tn?1331031553 Hey guys and dolls, I'm in another episode, fatigue is getting worse day by day, physically i'm back to carp with all my familiar stuff returned, one of which is brain/cognitive fatigue. My words are slipping more and more and i do often catch it but a lot of the time until someone queeries what i'm saying, then i dont know i've used the wrong word.
Avatar m tn I think the question of the herbals has to do with underlying health issues. If your liver is basically healthy and it can process things, then I don't see the harm. If there are underlying health issues, the situation is different. For example, I tolerated statins with HCV, even though they are known to interact adversely with the liver in some cases but my level of damage with modest, and the statins led to know change in ALT or AST. For myself, I take fish oil and am glad I do.
Avatar n tn but it's true, just like conventional tx, maybe health regimens aren't for everybody.... Sides fatigue, just not my best health, sometimes that's an amorphous concept, but I think we all know it when we see it, cept for the people who feel just fine...lucky stiffs....headache and a bit of brain I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer...certain things like organization skills seem to be impeded...
Avatar n tn (This is certainly an important issue for women, but I'm less sure about the role calcium plays in men's health. Ask your doctor?) Here's a little horror story to help you feel better (!)...way back in the tx dark ages ('91) they turned me loose with what turned out to be no thyroid function and no one caught it for about 6 months. Can you imagine? When someone did bother to test my thyroid the TSH was in the several hundreds.
193905 tn?1325400789 Yeah, that's the part that scares me (Good Health) I'd like to say I'm in good health, well I am it's just that I had a heart attack 2 years ago. When I found this pain management dr. I left that part out. I just informed him of the motorcycle accidents, not the heart attack.
Avatar n tn I am in the same situation as alot of you on this forum with all the pain, bowel, nausea, fatigue issues, etc. I went to the gyno/onco for the first time yesterday and feel I was given the brush-off and I'm still so scared and worried. It consumes my mind 24/7 as I feel there is something really wrong. For about the past year, I've just had this feeling something isn't right; my periods started getting very heavy and irregular and I just haven't felt myself.
Avatar m tn I feel like that monkey that scientists deprived of a parent and it latched onto a fury mannequin for comfort. I can't live like this. I've read many people with similar issues, six months later they post that they broke up and are happy as can be. Prior to busting up they expressed they steadfast efforts to get to the bottom of things, with patience, willingness to change, but that seems to evolve into despair and extreme disappointment at the neglect they feel.
Avatar n tn Then more health issues started surfacing for no reason. So I ate better and worked out more, but was not getting better. After many blood tests, Hoshimotos was D'xed. Given T4 meds for ten years did almost nothing to relive the symptoms and was told it was something else but they did no know what.
1007653 tn?1259389567 As you squat back, sit on the box so your upper thighs are parallel to the floor. Then stand back up. Complete 1 to 3 sets of only 1 to 3 reps each. As you become stronger, use higher boxes and add weight, which creates more tension. Why it works: The box removes all momentum where the lift is most challenging, which forces your muscles to work harder to start back up. And by limiting your range of motion, you learn to handle heavier loads.
Avatar n tn The Vitamin D council recommends sunlight exposure of at least ½ hour on Caucasian skin daily to produce enough (10,000 IU) of Vitamin D to maintain good health. IF you find you are getting sick more frequently you may want to increase your vitamin D levels. The recommended supplemental dosage recommended by the vitamin D council is 5,000 IU daily. When I feel a cold or flu coming on I start taking a bit more vitamin D, olive leafed extract and recently, elderberry extract.
Avatar n tn htm Also please use this thread to discuss any ongoing questions from the past week regarding the above issues, late relapse, persistent virus, extended treatment, or any other 'hot' topic of discussion from the past week. Avatar f tn A friend of hers also had an implant which had adhered to the bone. This person also started having a myriad of health issues, and so had the implant removed and did start feeling better. This would contradict my periodontists' assertion that osseointigration of implant material is evidence of no problem for your body. I gave her my number and asked for her friend to call me. I am waiting to talk to her. Talk to you later.
Avatar m tn I had posted this in the "woman's health" forum area and got no comments back at all. That area doesn't seem as active of a community as this one. So I will re-post what I posted there related to my wife's hormone levels. As far as thyroid she is being treated with Armour and just got bumped up to 180 mg (from 165). her FT4 are BELOW range, her FT3 are about 25% to 50% of the range but the range is also wider than most ranges we see here.
Avatar n tn I am 26/female with no other health issues, but has been consumed by headaches/dizziness. Three years ago I was getting daily, one-sided headaches with no symptoms and after trying everything (massage therapy, chiropractor, physio therapy, allergy meds, anti-depressants, stronger painkillers) I was sent to a neurologist who ordered an MRI. Nothing came up so I was diagnosed with having muscular/stress related headaches. A year went by of suffering and than suddenly, they went away.
