My wife was recently prescribed Memantine for headaches. She took 5mg nightly for 4 days and during that time she still had a headache, but no side effects. On the 5th day the headaches stopped, but now she's constantly nauseous and woozy. This has been going on for 4 days. Is this just a matter of her body adjusting to the drug?
I need the bupropion for the anxiety associated with Nystagmus, but I know it causes blurred vision and convergence problems. Should I even bother to try memantine? Thanks.
this thread actually brought me to the idea of trying out NMDA (Glutamate) Antagonist Memantine and it really improves my ability to perform tasks by at least 50%!
Why not only stay away from Gluten but decrease the overall glutamate amount binding to CNS sites? it works!

Hi there. Everybody's OCD is different and I have to say that this is not something that I do however my sister did it for years. You and your friend need some psychological intervention. I know it is great to have somebody to talk to and who completely understands where you are coming from but the reality is this is a disorder that can be treated and there is no reason why you and your friend should be burdened with this hand washing problem. Look at it as a bonus this way...
Has anyone else developed ocd while being pregnant OMG I can't take any mess in the house I disinfect the sides all the time if I can't smell bleech I'll bleech everywhere my husband said I've gone crazy lol I clean up after his every move I can't stand it when the cusions on the sofa arnt straight and plumped or if theres even a crum on the floor the hoover and mop is out and if I'm honest the mop is making me feel like its not hygienic I feel to get a steam mop.
Hi all,my ocd has got worse over the years i have had ocd from child hood now my children have ocd for keeping things in a row me too,with me its checking locks etc doors windows cooker etc its driving me mad cause im up durinnight too checking and checking then checking and checking on my children.
My eleven year old son was diagnosed with OCD about 2 months ago. I am going crazy. He is on prozac (very little amount). He has to go next week to check the medication. He goes every week for therapy. The guidance counselor and the psychologist at school work with him. He does very well at school finally but when he gets home he follow me around CONSTANTLY asking me about anything and everything if he's okay.
I have severe OCD and I'm very poor. I have constant panic attacks and I'm worried that the stress could lead to severe medical conditions. On top of that I'm tired of constantly being on the edge of panic. I can barely eat because my food always seems tainted. Plus the tics I have from tourettes, I'm in severe need of help, but can't afford it, nor do I know where to look (for example, do I need a therapist, councilor, psychologist, psychiatrist, etc.
even i have a same problem of OCD from the age of 11 till now... i am 24 years old..
this leads me to that end point that i think there is nothing then death which can stop me...... (but strange i am still alive)
i am scared of death and cancer....... i get reapeated thoughts like if dont touch a pen till i am releived then i will loss some one who is a part of my life... or i feel then will cancer or some times that i will get cancer..
Hello, I am concered that I may have OCD or another obessive disorder. I have the need to clean and have a clean house all the time. Everything in my house has to have a spot and if something is misplaced I get really anxious and have to put it back in the correct spot immediently. my house is always clean spotless. I get anxious alot and randomly start moving things around.

I've heard and read up alot on OCD intrusive thoughts. Most articles always mention OCD as being fearful or evil thoughts. Example: fear of contamination or thoughts of hurting someone or doing something bad. Can OCD thoughts be something else besides fears or evil thoughts. Like something random that you obsess over?
Hello . . . I have OCD. I am a checker ~ check stove, curling iron, etc. I have taken prozac off and on for 20 years. This last reason I started taking prozac was because my hubby was going to Iraq and I started my checking and worrying about him. He is back now and I have weened myself off again of prozac and I have this awful headache that wont go away. I have had the headache for 4 days now. I have weened myself off plenty of times and never felt like this.
My wife is suffering from OCD since she was 17 years old, now she is 73. She has been using medication for that illnes for over 50 years. Besides Clonazepan, Solof, Lorazepan, Divalproex, Citalopran, Donepezil,Divalproex, Enalapril, Carb/Levo tab she started taking Ziprasidone four weeks ago.Please tell me if she should stop taking some of those medications.
i was fearful offering lift to strangers as i think they might infect me with hiv intentionally..is this an ocd symptom? i dont hav any other symptomps like repeatd handwashing, checking etc nor have compulsions..though iam a bit hypochondriac..also have a taste for perfection and symmetry..is the fear irrational? do i have ocd?
