Memantine piracetam

Common Questions and Answers about Memantine piracetam

namenda

Avatar n tn Your symptoms are very likely due to piracetam withdrawal. Abrupt discontinuation of piracetam can cause excessive anxiety, tremors and even myoclonic seizures. These effects are due the fact that Piracetam acts on multiple targets in the brain including Ach, NMDA receptors. I would suggest you to consult your GP about it as early as possible as this medication should be taken only on medical advice.
Avatar m tn I read that choline can reduce the headaches from piracetam usage at www.smartdrugsforthought.com/what-is-piracetam They explain the usage of choline when taking piracetam. If that doesn't help you might be low on glutamate or calcium levels. Consult with your doctor if if continues even after using these simple resolutions. Take care my friend.
Avatar f tn My wife was recently prescribed Memantine for headaches. She took 5mg nightly for 4 days and during that time she still had a headache, but no side effects. On the 5th day the headaches stopped, but now she's constantly nauseous and woozy. This has been going on for 4 days. Is this just a matter of her body adjusting to the drug?
Avatar m tn I need the bupropion for the anxiety associated with Nystagmus, but I know it causes blurred vision and convergence problems. Should I even bother to try memantine? Thanks.
Avatar f tn If you want a good over-the-counter pharmaceutical I would look into piracetam and use choline with it. Piracetam is an excellent cognitive enhancer and will really help with cholesterol more than all the listed above. Finally nothing will beat a daily healthy diet low in bad fats and exercise.
Avatar f tn Leave it alone. The Piracetam + choline nootropics combo is myth, piracetam works just fine on its own. Don't play with cholinergics - try them only one at a time. Don't play with herbs like bacopa because they are actually extremely complex compounds that have all kinds of different effects in the body - it's difficult to predict their interactive potential. I would suggest in the future trying piracetam by itself, leave the bacopa alone.
1042487 tn?1275279899 Neither are available in the stores. The ginkgo I purchase from the health food stores in person as well as rhodiola. The Piracetam I take is only available through import so that has to be ordered and that is rather expensive. The glycine is ordered through Vital Nutrients and the rhodiola through GNC. The Manganese and gingko can be ordered through any nutrition store and the Piracetam through Colorado labs.
Avatar n tn I fell down and hit back of my head against the wall. I can't see anything for ~5 seconds, and I had a noise with my eyes for 3-4 hours. Two days I felt dizzy. I made CT-scan test. No any problems in the test. But my cognitive function is very important for me. I don't want lost ever 1-3 points of my IQ. What can I do for my brain? The family doctor refused my request to write me medical prescription for the Nootropics. I buy myself (for the Bitcoins) noopept.
Avatar m tn Hello everyone, I'm 42 years old, and I've been stuttering for as long as I can remember. It's hard to compare myself with other people who stutter since I know very few, but I would consider myself a mild (on my good days) to high (on my bad days) type of stutterer. My fluency comes and goes, and it's beyond frustrating. According to a study I read titled 'A review of brain circuitries involved in stuttering' posted in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience (https://www.ncbi.
Avatar m tn Hey everyone, I have tried many different ocd drug therapies, but have yet to try a glutamate modulating therapy such as Memantine (Namenda), Riluzole (Rilutek), N-acetyl cysteine, or amantadine. If anyone has information on or experience with any of the above medications, would you please share that with me? I am desperate. Thanks so much.
Avatar m tn Well good questions you have there. First of all Seroxat have anticholinergic effects. This can have effect on your acetylcholine (only neurotransmitter used in the motor division of the somatic nervous system with various effect on memory and learning). Any medication that will have a anticholinergic effect may induce memory and learning problem, cognitive impairment since acetylcholine is so important in cognitive function. Seroxat, yes possible cognitive impairments.
1321487 tn?1385294679 try out memantine so get a better memory, try prednisone for weakness but don't overdo it.
Avatar m tn Pharmacotherapy usually involves drug modulating GABAergic neurotransmission like Levetiracetam, Piracetam, Clonazepam or Valproic acid against prescription. I suggest you to consult neuro physician for his further evaluation and management. Take care and regards.

Avatar f tn Drugs include anticonvulsants though at times paradoxical reactions are noted. Multiple drugs may be required like clonazepam, valproate, piracetam, hormonal therapy. Take care.
Avatar m tn Along with it he has given a medicine, Piracetam BP one third tea spoon twice daily. Maheer is always running around on his toes, he has a very small attention span. And these days he is banging his head more than before. we have given him the medication for 6 days but haven't seen any positive change. His behaviour is getting more complicated everyday. Please comment about the medication. He also told us to do one EEG and we did. He has very irregular sleeping pattern.
Avatar m tn Pharmacological treatment when required would indicate anticonvulsants, like piracetam, levetiracetam, sodium valproate etc. 5-hydroxytryptophan can cause some improvement. Consult your neurologist. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar m tn this thread actually brought me to the idea of trying out NMDA (Glutamate) Antagonist Memantine and it really improves my ability to perform tasks by at least 50%! Why not only stay away from Gluten but decrease the overall glutamate amount binding to CNS sites? it works!
Avatar m tn Hello there, Nootropic drugs like Piracetam or analeptic drug such as Modafinil could help you with this problem. A diet including Omega-3 is also to be considered.
