I haven't tried reflexology, but please post how it goes!! I use acupuncture, chiropractic and massage therapy, but haven't tried reflexology. So far I think acupuncture and massage work the best for my MS symptoms. My insurance doesn't cover it either, but I couldn't work if I didn't keep it up. We're going to take it off on our taxes too! I also see this as a two prong problem. Sure, you have anxious, obsessive thinking and need treatment but you also have a real problem that you can't stop yourself from going for your happy ending massages 'for relief'. If I knew the source of my fear? I'd stop paying to participating in it. No one is forcing you to hit the massage center that gives you the happy ending massages that give you so much anxiety. You can't stop yourself from going?

M, 42, w/back tension & spasms so I often do trigger point therapy on myself, including sides, abdomen, chest, etc. Sometimes I massage my abdominal area and a few weeks ago noticed something I've never felt before. It feels like a ligament or tendon (but I don't know). It's under my skin (and perhaps fat and/or muscle). I can feel it with my fingers, but to feel it clearly I normally need to use lotion. I almost hate that my sessions are soon to come to an end. I have a Groupon for a massage at a massage parlor that does prenatal massage. When I finish my chiropractic sessions, I will go to my ob and make sure that is okay to get the massage... anything that may safely ease discomfort is definitely welcomed (in my opinion)...

See is the is a DBC Physical Therapy center near you. They specialize in physical therapy for the spine. I can tell you first hand, it's not like any other physical therapy location. They are document based so a patient can see their progression. They use machines, not pictures on paper. You brother will need a referral to go, but worth it.

What kind of physical Therapy can I do to help my golden with hind leg atrophy. She does have hip dysplasia, was diagnosed at 2. So she actually has done extremely well with Homeopathic Product. I have started the Rimadyl a few months ago. Thank you.

Rod, I will say my oldest son sees the MT mentioned above. He gets very bad migrane headaches. Meds don't touch the HAs but with this type of massage [if you see it done it doesn't really appear to be massage at all] his HA is gone within about 15 mins of starting the procedure.
