You should notice the expiry date of the tablet Macrobid and then take it only under medical supervision after consulting your doctor. Macrobid has some side effects and should be taken only after a doctor’s prescription.

It is listed as one of the possible side effects of the drug. Vaginal itching and discharge is also a listed side effect as also rust or dark colored urine.

I do know that the weakness and numbness in one side can be caused by the MS, but it did not occur until i took the macrobid. Hi Dr's I'm hoping you can answer some questions for me, I made the mistake of reading some forums and wonder if I may have contracted NGU which I have never heard of until reading these forums. I had what I would think was a non risk exposure experimenting with another male. He performed protected oral sex on me and also spit on the head of my penis when the condom wasn't on me and rubbed it in. From everything I have read this is a non risk exposure.
After unprotected intercourse and oral sex with a new girlfriend I soon developed bleeding of the gums and an intermittent light burning in the prostate area. Is Staphylococcus considered an STD and will the antibiotic Microbid kill it?

I am 16 wks. pregnant and my OB prescribed Macrobid for UTI, i had urinalysis and small amount of blood was noted. I told my OB that my urologist said that im always will have blood in my urine beacuse of hx. of cyst in my kidney so I requested to have urine culture prior to taking Macrobid, my OB is insistant to start the med. since it is going to take awhile for culture results to come back. so im already in my 4rt day of the meds.

m stuck on a long business trip at the moment but when I get back I intend to see an oral surgeon about it again. The last time I saw an oral surgeon she only looked at it and said it was geographic tongue, after asking me if I have had an HIV test(I am negative). I found out tuesday that i have a pretty horribly UTI after swearing i had a yeast infection. I was put on Macrobid 1 pill twice a day for 7 days. This is day is day 3 of the pills and i was wondering how long until it starts working? i am not in nearly as much pain as I was, but the pain with urination is still there slightly and get worse at night.
Bladder medication for spasms was changed twice due to side effects. Saw urologist ct scan neg for stones and was otherwise normal, had blood work which was all normal. Had a cystoscope which showed inflammation at the bladder neck and urethra. Urologist said sometimes after a UTI the infection can be gone but inflammation remains and will go away with time and that the inflammation can cause UTI like symptoms. I was then placed on a low dose of Macrobid for 3 months.
