You should notice the expiry date of the tablet Macrobid and then take it only under medical supervision after consulting your doctor. Macrobid has some side effects and should be taken only after a doctor’s prescription.

It is listed as one of the possible side effects of the drug. Vaginal itching and discharge is also a listed side effect as also rust or dark colored urine.

I have relapsing-remitting MS and was given Macrobid for a UTI. After my first day of Macrobid, my entire left side has gone numb and i have lost function in it. I do know that the weakness and numbness in one side can be caused by the MS, but it did not occur until i took the macrobid. I was stopped from taking the macrobid and started on it 2 more times and each time the weakness returned. Is there anyway to fix this?

I am 16 wks. pregnant and my OB prescribed Macrobid for UTI, i had urinalysis and small amount of blood was noted. I told my OB that my urologist said that im always will have blood in my urine beacuse of hx. of cyst in my kidney so I requested to have urine culture prior to taking Macrobid, my OB is insistant to start the med. since it is going to take awhile for culture results to come back. so im already in my 4rt day of the meds.
Bladder medication for spasms was changed twice due to side effects. Saw urologist ct scan neg for stones and was otherwise normal, had blood work which was all normal. Had a cystoscope which showed inflammation at the bladder neck and urethra. Urologist said sometimes after a UTI the infection can be gone but inflammation remains and will go away with time and that the inflammation can cause UTI like symptoms. I was then placed on a low dose of Macrobid for 3 months.
DOES MACROBID CAUSE BLEEDING OR MAKE YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE COME EARLY. I JUST FINISHED MACROBID 7 DAY TREATMENT. MY MENSTRUAL CAME 3 DAYS EARLY AND THERE IS BRIGHT RED BLOOD AND USUALLY MY MENSTRUAL BLOOD IS NOT THAT BRIGHT. I've been told I have a UTI and was given Macrobid/Nitrofurantoin I've taken 3 tablets but I was just curious on if it was okay to take and I've just read up that people have lost their babies days after taking the tablets?!

Uti or bladder infection. My doctor proscribed me macrobid. Terrified to take it, anyone else had to use this while pregnant, I'm only 8 weeks!
Has anyone been perscribed, or taken macrobid at the ens of there pregnancy? I was proscribed it. I habe two different drs and im.being induced monday. And it DIRECTLY states dont use it 37 weeks or later or close to delivery. .. im scared and this pregnancy is so freaking hard on me. Im getting to the point of giving up. And i dont want to cause my boy and family need me to fight.
