I was on macrobid for a UTI at the time of collection (started on macrobid Saturday, had 4 doses by the time of collection on Monday morning, blood work as fasting so last dose taken before blood collection was over 12 hours previously). Does anyone know if macrobid affects eGFR or is this level an induction of possible kidney infection/disease/cancer?
I went to my gyn I had a uti he gave me meds macrobid and said it will also help my throat . But I don't see how plus I don't feel comfortable taking meds while I'm pregnant
Is there anything I can do without meds ?for UTI and Sore Throat if not did anybody take MACROBID while pregnant ?
Is it safe to take the antibiotics Macrobid and Flagyl together? I'm 20 weeks and have both a UTI and bacterial infection. I know that my doctor wouldn't prescribe anything that would hurt the baby but there's still that lingering doubt in the back of my head that worries it isn't safe. Has anyone ever been pregnant and on both at the same time?
I have been on amox clav and flagyl for a weeks couse. The bacterial problem is resolved. I am still urinating frequently the color is a dark yellow and foam is still present. Isn't it true that when you have foam in urine its not only protien but albumin ? Should I see my DR. for a followup urinalysis. I have also felt some pain in the bladder. My DR. ran some blood work already.
She had a severe allergic reaction to levaquin back in september, but recent rash did not begin until feb. She was taking macrobid for kidney infection in jan. but rash did not begin until feb. she has seen primary care, infectious disease control and allergy doctos and none of them can tell her what it is or what causes it. Biopsy says bacterial fungus, but steroids and antibiotics not helping.
I've had bv multiple times and I've had it with this pregnacy as well as my first you will be perfectly okay to wait until you get paid.. I would definitely wait to treat it until you have them confirm thats what it is.. only causes concern when left untreated for long periods of time:) for now I'd try to use unscented soaps and only wash with water... seems off since bv causes a smell but I was told and have found that soap can cause your ph levels to go wacky and that can cause bv.
it’s annoying always have to pee and I can feel it get hot m.. on macrobid because they though uti but my urinalysis came back clean…… this stinks another other recommendations on how to get this fixed..

Fast forward a couple weeks and I noticed pelvic pain and symptoms similar to a mild UTI. I started to take macrobid and it did not seem to work that well (usually, my symptoms disappear within a day if it's a UTI on macrobid), so I went back to the nurse practitioner. She said to give it more time. I had an annual with my gyn at the end of that week (week of 10/20/14) so figured I would discuss more with him then if it still persisted.
Turns out I have chlamydia.
Also been tested for bv and yeast many times, usually negative yet symptoms continue to persist even after antibiotics usually Macrobid or Keflex. I usually feel better after antibiotics but a week later the symptoms will return.
I discovered about 2 weeks ago my boyfriend had another partner who he swears was clean about 6 weeks ago. We had intercourse(unprotected) prior to me finding out recently. Around the same time my uti symptoms started up again.

I INITIIALLY WASNT DUE FOR MY MENSTRUAL UNTIL YESTERDAY I'VE BEEN BLEEDING SINCE THE 3RD AND IM STILL BLEEDING BUT NOT ALOT LIKE I WAS YESTERDAY AND THE DAYS BEFORE BUT THE BLEEDING HAS LIGHTENED.
About two years ago I discovered I have a condition called IC that makes me have UTI symptoms triggered by diet. Anyways, antibiotics have no effect as it is an allergy rather than a bacterial infection. As you may imagine, the false UTI symptoms make it difficult to detect a real UTI. So about 5 days ago I noticed more severe symptoms than usual, and upon googling, it turned out I have every symptom of a UTI.
I do know that the weakness and numbness in one side can be caused by the MS, but it did not occur until i took the macrobid. I was stopped from taking the macrobid and started on it 2 more times and each time the weakness returned. Is there anyway to fix this? It is getting rather annoying and saddens me cause it feels like i cant do anymore what i like to. If anyone has had the same thing happen, please let me know im not alone... then was given 5 days worth of flagyl a month ago (for possible trich), and over a week ago was given macrobid for only 3 days (felt better for a couple days). Have seen 2 urologists, both said I'm fine and nothing is wrong. At times it feels like a burning sensation, getting worse when I have to urinate. No discharge or burning while urinating. Any type of antibiotic to try or cream? It's been over 2 months and it's driving me crazy.

So my DR. suggested I go to the Emergency Room. They sent me up to NICU and after 5 hours of drama, they said i have a bacterial UTI. Now I'm freaking out with the macrobid they prescribed. Is it ok to take? anyone know?
Did anyone take macrobid for uti during third trimester?
Uti or bladder infection. My doctor proscribed me macrobid. Terrified to take it, anyone else had to use this while pregnant, I'm only 8 weeks!
Has anyone been perscribed, or taken macrobid at the ens of there pregnancy? I was proscribed it. I habe two different drs and im.being induced monday. And it DIRECTLY states dont use it 37 weeks or later or close to delivery. .. im scared and this pregnancy is so freaking hard on me. Im getting to the point of giving up. And i dont want to cause my boy and family need me to fight.
However, a week or 2 later, my frequent urination and irritation came back, and he put me on macrobid. This seemed to work a little for my urethral problems,but it worked A LOT for my testicle, which started to feel a lot better after weeks of pain. However, I finished the meds and still have many symptoms. He has now put me on cipro for 3 WEEKS and has no clue what's wrong dispite bladder utrasounds and scans. Any ideas?

I had a routine screening for a few things things last week. She prescribed Macrobid. I have NO symptoms of a uti. When I looked at the culture report it stated 50,000 - 100,000 colonies forming for Lactobacillus species. After doing some internet research I am confused why she immediately prescribed antibiotics. I bought an over the counter test and it showed trace leukocytes and no nitrite. It is very unusual to have a real infection from this type of bacteria.
ve been experiencing constant UTIS, always making trips to the ER a d being put on antibiotics. Usually I get put on Macrobid 2x a day for a week, it always seemed to relieve my pain. But it stopped working, and I still had the constant urge to pee, all the time! I have what feels like really bad pressure, and sometimes even stabbing pains. I've gotten STD checks twice, came back negative. I've gotten ultrasounds done as well and nothing..
I'm 10 weeks and I have a UTI. ER doctor prescribed me Macrobid 100mg BID for ten days. Have any one taken this while pregnant? I googled it, and there were a lot of horror stories......just curious to see if others have taken, and there pregnancy remained normal...
